yeah definitely is, start of the song, a slow hypnotizing rhythmic beat/riff, like your just 'grinding' or persevering at some task over millennia, digging through the densest of diamonds,... then slowly, as another guy mentioned in comments, the loop riff w/ key counter melodies @ 24:20 breaks after a 4 minute buildup, like walking for days in the wilderness and finally breaking over a hillside to see the goal or something. Then from there it just goes to so many places, sonically and emotionally. The loop-riff motif gets hit with heaviness @24:38, but keeps going, so the light/crystal/levitation/angelic riff/keys gets contrasted with the heavy distortions riff. @25:30 guitar wizard hands you elixir to drink, pulls you into a warp tunnel, @25:45, snap back to a new reality with paradigm shift @26:53 (bended note) , dolphin jumps high out of water then nosedives DEEP @26:54 Back into the pre-esatblished 'soft' riff motif earlier in song, but blended with the 'hard' guitar riffs (heavyness/lightness at same time)(amazing!) . @28:10 , more wizard stuff, @28:37 which leads to a cool warp tunnel transportation part, synth/violin thing gives it a cool Babylonian texture, @30:13 those solo riffs with consonance/dissonance emotion! then the early morning calm lake outro beginning at 30:40, morphing into an almost 'hockey-night' arena board-slammer drum beat.
Halcyon, what a gem! At 31:49...now, THAT´S what I call ooomph!! I also think Fabios and Michaels keys are impeccably performed. They are so suited to the sound and themes all the way through this album. And the atmosphere those Rhodes-parts create....goosebumps - all hairs rise!

when skilled musicians are willing to drop their own stereotypes and just make good music, thats when magic happens. Elder has time and time again proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they can be as technical or as raw as they want, and arent afraid to lay out smoother and more mellow vibes in a genre that's been dominated for generations by a consistent need to always be heavier, faster, and harder than the genre's forefathers. unabashed in their defiant will to remain undefineable, elder has managed to lay down some of the heaviest riffs of the new decade , while simultaneously expressing a range of sounds and emotions that most rockers have rejected in favor of psuedo-masculinity and constant self-stereotyping. love, hate, rage, tranquility, the journey, the destination, psychedelia and ambience, power and victory, loss and gain, defeat and renewal- no part of the humman experience is untouchable or unvoiceable for this group of absolutely virtuoso artisans. If any end of their long and extensive list of moving and powerful pieces appeals to you, then you owe it to a generation dominated by copycats to share the work of such an innovative and skilled group, for the good of music's future.

when skilled musicians are willing to drop their own stereotypes and just make good music, thats when magic happens. Elder has time and time again proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they can be as technical or as raw as they want, and arent afraid to lay out smoother and more mellow vibes in a genre that's been dominated for generations by a consistent need to always be heavier, faster, and harder than the genre's forefathers. unabashed in their defiant will to remain undefineable, elder has managed to lay down some of the heaviest riffs of the new decade
, while simultaneously expressing a range of sounds and emotions that most rockers have rejected in favor of psuedo-masculinity and constant self-stereotyping. love, hate, rage, tranquility, the journey, the destination, psychedelia and ambience, power and victory, loss and gain, defeat and renewal- no part of the humman experience is untouchable or unvoiceable for this group of absolutely virtuoso artisans. If any end of their long and extensive list of moving and powerful pieces appeals to you, then you owe it to a generation dominated by copycats to share the work of such an innovative and skilled group, for the good of music's future.
I just love this album. (I also like that you can spot bits and pieces from the Gold and Silver Sessions.) Thank you, Elder! ♪
