Elder melds the sounds of heavy psychedelic rock with progressive elements and evocative soundscapes.
Currently working on a new studio album for 2020!
Capturing Elder's expanding dynamic and ongoing progression, The Gold & Silver Sessions is an experimental LP of ranging psychedelic jams that captures their expressive and nuanced development in a way a "regular" studio release wouldn't. This is still the band who put out 2017's crushing "Reflections of a Floating World," but here you'll witness them following their imaginations in an entirely new direction.

This has officially become my quarantine song. I’m in cancer remission, my gf and I broke up, and Coronavirus hits. This song will always remind me of this time. Hope they keep making more.

I reconnected with my high school ex, I moved out from Los Angeles to the central coast, my gf and I are engaged, we’re expecting a boy in March, I’m getting the job offer for my dream job. What a journey it’s been! We both love elder so that made it a lot easier to connect with my girl. Love that band. What an amazing feeling I get just to listen to this song!
Elder never ceases to impress. Those last two minutes....holy shit.

@@ambruskiss4492 I think it is. They moved to Berlin a few years back so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet. I live in Pberg and run around weißensee a few times each week. I love that little lake.

I think I am responsible for about 10,000 of the 13,182 views (at the time of this writing) views of this video. I bought everything they made on Bandcamp, but it is just easier to listen here...and I do almost once a day on average. Sometimes 20-30 times a day on repeat.

That surface to air that occurs at about 6:50-7:00 minutes in is incredible had some closed eye visuals just meditating and saw the grey noise static matter dissipate and smooth out into space, from there straight into light speed and you just sailing to where ever you wanna go come out the other side of your wormhole and find a great wind up for an incredible finish to an amazing sound so bright you can see it so close you can smell it so delicious you can taste it so sweet outside of sour a surefire pleasure to devour

Could anyone tell me what tempo this song is in?
5/8 or 5/4 is the time signature if thats what youre after. drummer seems to play double what the guitar is in some parts. highly complex but dope as Fuuuck
@@VanJenkins I just tried playing the whole thing, on drums and it is pretty difficult like halfway through if you don't practice every day to keep that double bass drum note with the pedal up for every single open bass note that is played
