Becky a tip I learned off of RUclips regarding slugs:
Take a small clay pot, a discarded cup or any type of small container(I use clay pot) place pot, turned over, where you have slug problem. This makes a nice cool place for them to go during the day. I clear dirt from rim a little so they can go in. During the afternoon empty clay pot. Be prepared to see a lot of slugs the first week.

Sometimes I would have to stop cooking run to pick up the kids at what ever practice field they were on come back and finish cooking.my husband was always working, side jobs etx. Then I got a little smarter. I started cooking tomrrows meals tonight, always a day ahead, it became much less stressful. Dental hygiene is not an easy field as you know. Take care of yourself and enjoy your garden, its very therapeutic! Now I work very partime and have lots of time for canning and preserving. I'll try my garden again with raised beds next year. I make the very large meals in hopes of having leftovers for lunches the next day, or another meal later. My son and husband end up having seconds or thirds and kill any thought of having leftovers. I guess I just need to take out the extra before serving the meal to ensure there's leftovers.

I live on the Oregon coast, and I am inspired to make ahead meals. We just moved to our small homestead, I am learning how the back yard garden in and what creatures are eating the seedlings, and know what to do differently next spring. You are so kind and encouraging us as you are a young woman. Pat

Why not make home made breakfast sandwiches to freeze and grab and cook for mornings? Or make frittatas and freeze for later? Both good ways to use your eggs.

Instapots are great for boiling eggs too. You put the trivia in the bottom and when you go to shell them, the shells come right off.

My mom used to talk to her onions. Every day. She had green onions in a pot, and would water and talk to them every day.

My dad has a back porch similar to yours. He doesn't have A/C either. He has slowly made it an outdoor kitchen. He even built a pizza oven and bar. He did it all himself, took about three years total. He uses it from late spring until October-ish. Never cooks inside during those months.

If you spread your veggies out on the pan you’ll get more roast-y texture/flavor because it allows the excess moisture of the cauliflower to evaporate. Everything looks awesome!

I just found your page two days ago and have been happily watching your videos in between homeschooling my grandson. Love all your ideas and your organization. Was just talking to my daughter and told her, hey you can make your own sour cream and brown sugar and her response: "no mom, you can make it for me" lol. Yes she's correct. Your garden reminds me of the one we had when I was a child. Grew up in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Off to watch some more videos. Keep them coming...

Great Video I was laughing when you were chasing your dogs. I was babysitting our granddaughter the same day I watched your video and noticed my daughter's dog who looks likes Orbit broke thru her screen patio door and here I go chasing after her dog. I like seeing tours of your freezer and pantry gives me more ideas. I make alot of freezer meals. After babysitting all day it feels good to just come home and make the freezer meal that I prepared. I shared this video with my daughter and mention that you have great ideas on gardening and canning.

Looks like a real day in the life to me! I have left a cat feeding dish on the back of my car. Made it through McDees and to my final stop. It made the journey. I try to open the door 1st and throw stuff in, or it will be left on the top of the car every time.

It's amazing that u have a full time job and cook and clean. And I don't know if u have an air fryer but those are really good too. And your allowed to take short cuts u don't always have to make everything homemade and as u get older your going to get tired of making homemade food real quick
