    I remember it had 4 speeds, the tall spindle you could stack records on so when one record finished another would drop down and start playing automatically. There was an adapter that would slide over the spindle to play a bunch of 45s. The needle would flip sideways for another needle for just 78 rpm records. High tech for back then.

    Stylish and cute. It's a shame Columbia wasn't forward thinking enough to make the center console able to play only the lower frequencies and then have not one but two satellite speakers carrying the higher frequencies. Oh well, c'est la vie.

      Enter Motorola with its SK32 and SK33 stereo consoles in 1960. Their center channel was a 15" Jensen woofer.
