To me the winner is JLC with their Master Ultra Thin Moon. An absolute beauty!
Zenith had introduced some interesting watches this year going back to the El Primero Triple Calendar Moonphase. The Defy Revival Diver is cool, same goes for the extreme diver though I’ve got no urge to chase a diver.
The Defy Skyline is a good execution of yet another integrated sports watch. They make great chronographs, I don’t generally go for white dials, but the white dial version looks good.
For me JLC with the Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetuel is the winner. They showed once again what they are able to do and who the boss is.
I wish Cartier did a hidden hour hand leveraging a 24hr GMT geared for 12hr, and a jumping hour hand. I would have sold my current Santos and picked this up as my go-to work travel watch no questions asked.
Hey Fed, 1 correction the new CPCP Monopushoir doesn’t have a THA movement. Cartier doesn’t own the rights to that movement and it’s no longer in production. It’s in some old FPJ Vagabondage pieces and Debethune also used it briefly as well I believe. Although I agree, it was great to its revival.
The manual wind Grand Seiko was my favorite
Ditto. What a movement b
Im quite curious of your take on the VCO with green dials🙂
My top releases: Czapek Goutte d’eau and Rolex, with their new Deep sea and 1908 in platinum
What mechanism is in Santos GMT? Wasn't able to find it.
The clear winner for me was the Laurent Ferrier Annual Calender with moon phase. What a watch
I think it is important for the watch world and new people curious about watch wearing to have Cartier hit it big. Such an alluring and quality company, aesthetics, and made well.
I have to say a watch that tells time "backwards" is just plain stupid. It's not innovative....just a mirror movement. It's like turning your seats around in your car and saying "I''m doing 155 mph in reverse!"
Just wait til they start making watches that doesn’t tell the time at all.
Absolute garbage. Maybe they'll make a car where you turn the wheel left to make a right turn.
Making a mirrored movement still takes plenty of R&D. I think it's great, a really good laugh. Lighten up
@@Horizontalvertigo Nonsense. They could have spent their R&D money on something worthwhile instead of an EXPENSIVE ridiculous watch where you have to readjust your brain just to tell the time.
@@frankpentangeli7945 You got the Tortue monopusher if you want that! Give it up man, just smile a bit.
As a very happy BB58 owner I am looking forward to trying out this new GMT.
Just wish they were making it available on that five link jubilee style bracelet.
Love the channel.
Your takes are simply the best bro
Black bay 58 GMT winner !!!!!
I am not sure why, it looks like hundreds other dive/GMT watches
Now Cartier, wow, definitely a winner
FACTS
Cartier let me down with a caller GMT movement, and a modified Sellita at that for 9K. Nope. That ain't it.
Reflection de Cartier looks nice.
Well deserved shout outs for Tudor and Cartier there. No doubt that the BB58 GMT and the BB Monochrome will be huge sellers. Based on what Cartier has released, I have a feeling that they will continue their lead over Omega and secure that second place in terms of sales, behind Rolex, for this year. Unless Omega suprised us by releasing massive (i.e. thinner) updates to the Seamaster Professional / Planet Ocean lines.
Completly argree on Cartier. The promo video they made for the new stuff was really cool too.
Cant wait for the new watches to hit Delray. Been saving up for this!!
Dope glasses Fed! 🤓
Love the gold frames.
Red shirts for the win. Any tip on what is the brand of your glasses ? Love them.
Agreed on Cartier, you totally forgot Vacheron. An easy choice for second place!
Franck Muller released their Remember, a backwards running watch, in 2019.
Here is a good idea for a novelty watch for retired people.
A quartz watch that tells the month instead of the hour .
Dial is marked January... February...etc.
What doyou think about Zenith
The 45 billion year accurate moon phase IWC Eternal calendar was my winner of W&W 2024
Love what Cartier are doing!!!
The big red Tokyo lion’s dial manufacturing process is the most significant advance. The case is polarizing, it’s too big, it’s too red, and the cost is too high vs typical Grand Seiko but the dial changes color depending on the angle and the lion mane pattern is more visible than in a similarly colored dial. It’ll make patterns easier to see in their darker dials. They just need to put it in smaller models.
How is having the movement running backwards "romantic"?
Cartier is nice, but Lange was the winner for me by a long shot.
Agreed, nothing really caught my attention this year
Fed, FYI, Lorus quartz Disney Goofy Rotating Backwards Watch V516-6A00 A1. Great video. Thanks
Hello my friend… i hope all is well. The running backwards watch was made before by Russian brand Raketa. All the best ✌️
I was at watches and wonders and for me the winner was the vacheron pocket watch with 63 complications ,it took 3 watch makers 11 years to make.I also loved the Lange datograph green lume.I do agree the iwc platinum perpetual calendar was a great watch but at 159 thousand Swiss francs I’d have to sell my house to buy it😂
Can someone please tell me the brand of shirt Fed often wears? The logo looks like an animal in a hoist? I’ve google “horse in hoist” “bull in hoist”…can’t find it. Thanks in advance
Brooks Brothers. It’s a sheep btw.
Is Delrey going to sell the brand new Tudor? I thought they are focused on pre-owned?
Flippers will sell to them, then they’ll sell it to consumers.
Cool glasses
Nice glasses! Who makes those?
Horrible
Dude! You’re awesome! No other way to say it.
Cartier 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I like the green Santos-Dumont and the Tank Americaine from the show
the green one is limited to 200 but the blue and beige seem to be regular catalog items for now.
@@cyan0xide Hey thanks for the info! It’s gonna be hard getting the green one then. Do you know the price but the way?
@@joyLoveC i think blue and gray are like 16k and the green is 24k but i doubt youll be able to get a green.
@@cyan0xide👌🏻 Thanks again!
An Aviation Watch without GMT makes no sense Fed? Tell that to the Navitimer 😉
There is no way I am going to pay out a ridiculous amount of money for a watch that works anticlockwise
Well it s just because civilisations happened in the north hemisphere, not for any practical reason, plus it s a limited release so even if you wanted it you could not.
Remember watches are works of Art nobody needs a watch look at a Picasso and you probably wouldn’t give 2 cents for one of his paintings back in the day. It’s all about art and imagination
Just my take on it
No disrespect
The direction is literally arbitrary. Even Sun dials run different directions based on where you are.
In the future, I promise you that you'll look backwards, and wish you'd bought it.
I like Vulcain’s newer releases
Cartier lineup is great! ❤
Love the BB GMT except for the gmt hand, it just looks to much like the hour, minute and second hands.
I'm fascinated by the Cartier backwards movement... Dumb but i can't get it out of my head
The more I observe the watch business, the more I realize the successful houses are the ones that leverage their successes the best. Tudor hit a five run homer with the Black Bay and they're conducting a masterclass in milking it for all it's worth. They could have come out with a BB58 GMT years ago, and I'm sure they planned it years ago, but the market must wait. That's the game.
Cartier was #1 at W&W. Hope they'll reissue galbée Line in automatic at 5k
I believe that new Cartier Tortue Monopusher has an entirely new movement occupying the footprint of the watch case, compared to the old model which had a smaller round movement.
So new watch, new movement...exit the THA movement from Journe & Co :/
There are a LOT of watches that run backwards. I’ve had several cheap ones that did it. You can even get Disney watches that do it.
To me Moser wins with the streamliner skeleton and the Cyprus green endeavor.
The new tortue monopusher is still gorgeous, but does not use the same movement.
As someone who attended, I think the winners are those who saved the €70, plus flights and hotels, and didn't bother. It's like the whole thing is visiting a Rolex showroom where you can't buy, but even worse, you can't touch. I did meet a few watch people I like, and also I got invited to visit two factories, and that's more like it, but the event itself, is just like a huge shopping centre / Mall.
Cartier has everyone gassed up on that two times on watch. I was super excited and was going to order one from my dealer. I love the Dumont and I’ve always wanted one of my collection. My complication of choice is two time zone 90% of the watches I have, have that complication. But that’s a Selitia movement and you can buy a Christopher Ward for $1800 that does the same thing with the same movement… that right there is a marketing Hublot joke! Shame on Cartier. I’m surprised you didn’t pick up on that before converng it.
Given the average age of expensive watch buyers, I would suppose that a reverse-time complication finds fans.
If the BB58 GMT really has a 60 click bezel then that’s going to be a dealbreaker for enthusiasts.
Czapek was the clear winner.
Good video
Raketa watch "Russian code“ rotates in a reverse direction.
Cartier produced genuine things of beauty….
Cartier was definitely best in show!!
I think zenith was easily the 3rd
IWC with new Portuguesier
I would add Montblanc to the winners list.
None of these interest me. Thanks for the video though.
I was wearing my Azimuth Back In Time this weekend while reading the Cartier reviews, Fede.
If Tudor would have left the gilt out of the GMT, it would have been a winner.
Majority of Tudor fans are funny. They don't like the Submariner because it's boring but love the Monochrome that's basically a spitting image of a Submariner . Strange bunch those dudes. The Zenith Defy Revival was my favorite release but hope to see another colorway. Maybe Zenith will do a Zenith Super sub sea diver chronograph. The vintage ones are awesome. It's nice to see Zenith adding a diver to the line-up
Tudor watch fans are like audi are just as good as porsche. But deep down, they know they are wrong
Not every Tudor fan is a moron. If both black bay monochrome and the rolex sub are the same price, I'll choose rolex without hesitation. There is a thing called a budget--for me, my upper bound on a single wrist watch purchase is around 5000-6000 dollars.
@@leobrown6875I agree 😂😂😂😂😂TUDOR FANBOYS ARE DELUSIONAL 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@stevens1041RESPECT 🫡
Yes. Sub has better dimensions too which nobody seems to think is important. 50mm lug to lug doesn't work for a lot of wrists in the Tudor. Plus I'd still want a ceramic bezel too for longivity.
unpopular opinion. need more text on the BB58 GMT.
Did you miss JLC or just not your flavor?
Yes the Tudor is the clear winner but it's a watch we all knew was coming and asked for. They didn't give us everything as it has no jubilee bracelet.
Maybe I'm not in the right headspace for horology right now.... But nothing at watch and wonders got me excited or made me want to make a purchase
Tudor sport watches are getting too thick for my taste. I know wearing experience is a personal thing. I guess there are people who would prefer a more chunkier feel.
When you do these sort of posts can you please make the watches larger than your face. Much appreciated
didnt mention rolex in this vid...ill wait for the next vid and see Federico nail rolex to the cross...
The new Tudor Monochrome was so good looking, it pushed me to go and try a new BB41 - and wow, does that Watch feel wayyy better than the Gen2 did. Boring, but solid and I’m glad it exists.
I don't get it. I found Tudor releases extremely boring. It's a Coke, but not really a Coke. It's burgundy not red (isn't that the criticism of the Rolex Pepsi....not really red....not really blue), so why isn't this a knock on the Tudor? The gilt makes an already vintage-esque watch look even more stodgy. Gilt? I don't get the love for this GMT. Also, the monochrome BB is essentially the pseudo-Sub, yes? Then this makes it a watch you are never supposed to buy, that is, a watch that is a cheaper substitute for the watch you really want, the Rolex Sub. Again, why does this make Tudor a winner here?
Exactly! And the concerted effort to hype Tudor for the past 3 yrs by all these RUclipsrs is suspect. They all don't seem to see Tudor is just all old Rolex 5 digit copies.
And from the impression you'd think Tudor is already up there like top selling 1,2 or 3...yet it's waaay down there falling from 15th to 17th place among swiss watches despite their hypes. This is From Morgan Stanley figures.
Wondering how these sycophants work. It's clear as day Tudors try to look like Rolex.
Absolutely agree on Tudor! And the snowflake hands look like something Walmart would come up with.
@@thomashelm6931 😂 yup! The snowflake hand is so moronic! It even blocks the chrono sundials on their Chrono models 😂
Really ? OK the Tudor might be a commercial success but it is as boring as it gets, I would place Zenith in the winners bracket instead...
H Moser released some very cool 3 watches.
Except for the Cartier monopusher and the new L.U.Chopard offerings, all the models mentioned are completely underwhelming to me. Tudor bores me to death, and that backwards Cartier is just plain dumbassery. I also don't like the design of the IWC Portuguese Eternal Calendar. Overall ... meh.
"Includor"
Vacheron all day long
Tudor Winner🔥
Today I'm waring my Lord Elgin Thornton
The Santos gmt is actually a v cheap movement and hard to justify the price
Tudor is the tool Rolex used to be, Rolex is AP now.
Sans the amazing hand finishing, yeah pretty much.
Rolex is not near AP
I wonder that Tudors now even surpassing where Rolex used to be, Rolex will create a third brand to take the place where Tudor used to be.
For what it may concern to you, I'm disapponted. This will not change the esteem I do have for your figure, but I expected something for true watchgeecks rather than from a business POV.
Of course that's your channel, and you're doing business with it, no prob. But I'd like to hear a man with your taste and knowledge what he'd pick for himself from W&W this year.
To me, any Rolex copycat is maybe much boring that the original and Tudor is the pinnacle of copycats. Nothing to say on Cartier, but I mean... seriously? From all the watches shown there a wrong Santos is the winner?
Sorry to say it again but... disappointed.
De Bethune killed it with their two releases. My favorite is the Purple Rain!
If Tudor is a winner, Rolex is a winner!
Why are you scared of saying the prices of your inventory? You're actually priced really fairly yet you avoid saying it out loud.
I’m going to have to disagree. The IWC eternal calendar… how can you not give respect to a watch that will still be accurate when humanity has become a space faring species (I hope anyway)?
My uncle gave me a Bill Clinton watch that ran backwards
The winner was Grand Seiko manual wind 9S series .. exhibition case back, beautiful movement for only @ 10.5 a steal!
What about VC? They brought some heavy hitters this year.
Why wouldn't rolex come out with coke bezel them selfs
Anyone else have an issue with the gilting on the Tudor GMT? Kinda put off by it.
Rolex FTW!
Nothing from the Gronefeld brothers……they’re too busy….seriously…..the smart money is collecting them.
Hands down cartier won!
