      and do you think that a hot knife will work to cut foam?

    • @NMTommyTV
      @NMTommyTV 9 лет назад

      Hot knives work beautifully for cutting foam, just make sure you wear a respirator because you will be releasing toxic chemicals as the foam melts.

    • @OfficiallUncleBajie
      @OfficiallUncleBajie 8 лет назад

      +cameron Smith Iv'e used and exacto knife attachment for a soldering gun, it was crazy effective but the blade will get dull pretty fast so make sure that you sharpen it often.....which is a pain because you have to wait for it to cool first. it is also really good at rending flesh lol so be careful.

  • @IconicProps
    @IconicProps 6 лет назад

    When you add barge, if you heat it until it flashes white. You get a better bond, and its much faster. For what youre doing I am assuming you want it to be repositionable for a few seconds, so this is just a tip for anyone wanting to do these foam builds, and speed it up.
    Flashing it with a heat gun is like spraying accelerator onto super glue.
    Love the chan.

    Yeah i have been making small things and big things from junk i find, and tear down. expense saver way of prop making. but mostly i do custom things..BUT THIS is the best foam work i have seen. most of the time they look like badly done angles and poor paint work. i got my first prop build vid up..lot of rambling as i go though parts used. but part 2 will be much better as i finish my handel..great work by the way..wish i could have got that gun for my collection. i have a sci fi gun obsession.
