When you kneel during a time of respect for out nation, and the intention of the people kneeling are to disrespect that time of honor for our nation, all for a political and social agenda, its offensive to people, and rightfully so. Now people getting offended over a Comedy Act? Over jokes? Yes, that is something Ill never understand. People are incredibly petty these days. But I think too many people are over-simplifying the kneeling thing. The Flag and Anthem have very deep meaning to a lot of people. Kaepernick openly wore Anti-Cop(pig socks) and Anti-America(Fidel Castro shirt) during his protests which made things even more offensive to many people.

These same people, what do they do when a comedian makes a joke about black people or asian people or mexicans.. “now this is real humor not being scared to offend triggered liberals 😂”
as a white person, I don't feel offended. but I just find it kinda boring and repetitive to listen to the same old story of slavery and colonialism. it's total nonsense. why? because slavery, colonialism and imperialism have existed in every single culture and civilization in human history. it wasn't something unique or special. it was human nature. it was my tribe vs. your tribe type of mentality. survival of the fittest. this was the rule of the game and still is to some extent today. so this means, black people that suffered because of slavery isn't something special. everyone regardless of skin colour did suffer opression in the past. and some people still do suffer because of what they are today. When people criticize minorities, accusing them of “playing the race card and bringing race into everything”. It’s frustrating. Think about it like this: a well fed person wouldn’t spend most of their day thinking of hunger. Of course not, why would they. For a starving person, how can they think of anything but hunger?
Except that being a minority doesn't automatically make you a victim of racism and being a majority doesn't mean that you never faced it. But yeah, keep pretending that only you have problems.

I came from Lily white middle America and I enlisted when I graduated high school where I found out it doesn't matter what color your skin is when you're relying on the person next to you to stay alive. You can be black, white, yellow, red, brown, or purple for that matter, you both cry salt and bleed red and when that fellow next to you is keeping you alive it don't matter what color his skin is he's your best friend and you're his. I think the problem with America is people forget that in the end we're all humans with the same emotions, same red blood, and same aspirations, the main one of which is to survive and thrive. I think everybody should be stuck in a foxhole with someone of a different race under fire so they can learn that it doesn't matter what the man looks like he's still a man and when you're both in danger you're both best friends. I also honestly believe these cops who brutalize blacks have never served in the military overseas or they would have some respect for their fellow Americans
He's also separated from the truth. 360,222 white Union soldiers that never owned a slave and hated slavery - died to free the slaves. He should at least be aware of the truth.
@MUHAMMAD ALI A.H. You're as much of a disingenuous liar as Chapelle. You should try reading Lincoln's speeches to both Congress, and to the American people trying to convince them to fight against the evil of slavery.

I'm watching this and I'm realizing they should've never revealed to Clayton Bisby that he is black lol
Hahaha - great observation!
Correction: they did tell him he's black. Quickly after he divorced his wife and when the reporter asked him why. Clayton responded simply, "cause she's a n lover n" lol. Remember he married a white woman. One of my favorite Chapell skits!
@@MissysDomain I said they should not have told him
Never !
Funny thing was today I watched a clip where Neal Brennan said that sketch was based off Dave's grandfather who was blind and had very light skin and was thought to be white and once had black people asking him what was he doing in a black people's bus when there were some riots.
This is just brilliant.
One my favorite bits of his.
@Nick Ahhh No. He said, "We damn near freed ourselves."
I'm thinking that was a reference to the fact that we (black people) fought in the civil war.
K. It's a joke. Shut up.
No one tells a story quite like this man. Could listen to his stories a 100 times just to enjoy the craft of it.

@@josephpeters49 Well people can have different opinions on comedy. I would say that Dave can objectively be considered funny since he can make a very good living out of being funny. Still, subjectively not everyone is gonna (or has to) like his comedy.
Wow I dont think this is a complement at all. The nigga speaking truth to light with a lil humor and you compare him to a cartoon character........ ? You really missing his point. Dave dont just talk for fun. Everything he says and dose, especially in the last years, have a straight meaning to it.

I love how this comment section has become an argument, Dave said absolutely nothing wrong. 1000% facts. What he said was history. Dave is a very down to earth dude. He didn’t even accuse white people of being oppressors. He didnt even insinuate it. Now look who is fuming in the comment section.

A few brittle spirits in the comments section I see. It’s funny they praise him when he makes fun of Juicy Smollet and the alphabet people but hate him for this. Dave Chappelle is not only extremely funny but he is also wise. I was one of those metoo cancel culture people he talked about and when he spoke I felt that but I didn’t turn around and complain about it. I took it for the truth it was. I don’t have a brittle spirit though.
It's cause they are sensitive just about different things. They love to call other people they disagree with sensitive but the moment they disagree with the joke they lose their shit. It's honestly hilariously ironic.

I've always been impressed with Dave Chappelle's knowledge of history. This was hilarious too.
Everything Dave says in his standups should be common knowledge, but unfortunately America isn't very good at teaching its citizens history that doesn't show America in a favorable light.
Basic overarching history? Um, sure, impressive.
He comes from an educated background.
All I can say is in my opinion, he is the greatest comic I have ever witnessed.
The faces he makes when oj kneeling has me dead 🤣🤣

"The Bird Revelation" is so underrated! We need to have more videos from that. In it he probably makes one of the most convincing arguments in all of his specials.

What truth,,, The lies that make you feel better. Your own people sold you into slavery in Africa. And 1000 years before that African Moors were crossing the straits of Gibralter, and raiding towns in southern France and Spain, and pillaging, mudering, and stealing white women and children and some of the men, for slaves, mostly along the N. African coast, and the Barbary coast. You want slavery history, you have ahell of alot more of it in your past than white Americans ever have.

An ingenious joke. I think "The Bird Revelation" is Chappelle's greatest stand up special. An absolute note-perfect masterpiece, from start to finish.
I thought I was the only one that thought like that. The bird revelation was very intimate and I loved the core seriousness of it with some comedic timings.
I hated that people shat on Dave Chappelle on his return saying he changed, cloned, it wasnt funny, he talked too much etc I found myself thinking "have ya'll ever watched a Dave Chappelle special? Do ya'll only want sketch comedy and Chappelle's Show? The fuck is wrong with ya'll this is masterful comedy." This is a master of his craft allowing us to witness his work. It's hilarious, poignant, smart, objective, and very informative. He's always been that way and I'm so glad he is back. These jokes aged like a fine wine and people are just now really catching on.
Dave chappelle is BY FAR the funniest dude on Netflix...i hope they know that!
He comes with the humor and history
That separates him from the others
He's also separated from the truth. 360,222 white Union soldiers that never owned a slave and hated slavery - died to free the slaves. He should at least be aware of the truth.
@MUHAMMAD ALI A.H. You're as much of a disingenuous liar as Chapelle. You should try reading Lincoln's speeches to both Congress, and to the American people trying to convince them to fight against the evil of slavery. ALL of those men knew why they were fighting - and it wasn't for jobs. It was to end something they knew was inherently evil and had no place in a free country.
