Once again - brilliant. Videography gets better and better and with a poem thrown in, count be better. No mental health adverts, no super potions to drink every morning and no diet courses. Stay true
Finally an episode where you were not getting beaten up by the sea. It looked like perfect sailing conditions. The poetry is getting better. Have you thought of writing a book about this round the world adventure and lacing it with poetry? Imagine, Internet sensations turned best selling authors.😁
Thank you guys. You give an old guy inspiration and happiness. Great to see you both doing what needs to be done, poetry and song even beer when you're tucked away. All the best. cheers!
I'm really pleased for you, boys. The way your sailing skills have developed on this trip is incredible. Enjoy Fiji to the max. Next stop Vanuatu, which will blow your mind.
Just after Adam's next poetic explosion, we have Luke suddenly breaking out into The Levellers' "Beautiful Day" ♫♪ ( 7:06 ) - quite amazing! Next we get a Sailing Brothers Song with Adam writing the lyrics :D Great episode U 2!
@@TheSailingBrothers yes of course I have very much enjoyed seeing how the two of you have matured in terms of your seamanship. From Biscay to windy channels of canneries and on. The gold in the channel in my humble opinion is the innocent and possibly naive risks associated with the adventures at hand (Learn fast or else). Also like so many out there i feel that the two of you experienced a life that didn’t meet your expectations but you had the courage to risk everything to see what was at the end of this flat earth. And its mahi mahi as it’s the fish that tastes so good they named it twice! Cheers P
You’re knocking ticking one of the top 5 of my lifetime bucket list. Brilliant Lads, brilliant. Next week I’ll navigate the Crinan Canal with gusto before heading for Iona.
What's going on? No dramas, no storms, no broken bits! Only a lost clevis pin out of a lifeline and a leaking waterbag. Surely your life was in jeopardy with the loss of ALL YOUR WATER! Just sailing and life at sea! With bloody good filming! Love it. Have fun and enjoy your epic adventure Lads. Cheers and G'day from Tasmania
Amazing how many similarities between you Rival's interior and that of my Nicholson 31 (1971). The joinery was obviously made by the same company. But I find that interior arch so lovely. It reminds me of chinese decor. Love your videos mates. Best wishes from Gran Canaria.
@@TheSailingBrothers There was a cheeesy horror film from the 1970s starring Doug McClure about a helicopter crew attending a drifting yacht with only a traumatised female survivor on board and dead crew + a dead priest (!)... As a kid it scared the life out of me (Spoiler, the woman turns out to be the devil who originally came on board as a priest that the yacht's crew rescued...blah blah) but I saw it again recently and it was of course as tame as hell. But when I heard the voice of PL on your episode my mind immediately went back to that movie and I started writing the script in my head: two Welsh brothers out in the idyllic pacific blogging their voyage... when from below comes a familiar voice - "Hello, Daaaaave... is that Daaaave?" :D
Ha, weather so good, almost boring! seriously though, minerva, have always wanted to go , so great you made it. Sorry to hear about the oil leaks. My old yanmar leaked so much oil, pumping the bilge was like a mini exxon valdez. Ended up dragging it out of the boat and putting in a new beta 30.
It seems we have sailed in so much bad weather recently it was strange to have some decent sailing. If one day our engine blows up we will get a beta 30 I think 🤔
Great sailing guys . First half under your belt . Hope the second half is as good. That reef looks amazing. Is that the same reef you stopped at when you were on your way to New Zealand. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Happy you made it to the reef! Only 400 more to go. I bet you would pay a bundle, to sleep in a nice comfortable bed! Believe me..I know! Long may your big jib draw! Stay safe from the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦
@@TheSailingBrothers if you do come to South Africa, rather dock at Richards bay or futher down towards PE, Mossel bay or down to Capetown side. North of Richards bay is NOT SAFE AT ALL. and if you two can and are willing to accommodate me for a first sailing experience down the coast of South Africa I will be there in a flash, also willing to show you around maybe take you on a game viewing outing
We visited the North reef when we left Tonga heading to New Zealand. We decided to stop over in the south reef on the way up to Fiji. It's a very popular stop for boats going north and south 👊
You were very lucky not to go overboard when that pin failed!! This is why, in the RN, we were taught never to lean on the guard rails!! Take more care boys!! 🤔😏🤨
There is a sponge in the bilge we use for soaking up the water. The bilge is very deep so the only way of getting this to the sponge is with tongues ✌️

No adverts or silly sponsors on this channel just pure sailing how it should be 😎⛵

It seems quite rare we sail and have good weather 🤣🤣. We will be writing a book about the adventure and I can put my poems in there
Completely agree!

Thanks Ken a pleasure to bring such happiness 😊
What an absolute beautiful poem again. I am normally jot a big fan of poems but I absolutely love these😍you really should bundle them
I will be writing a poem book one day 😁
Good plan. I’ll definitely order a copy
"It's true! It's real. I'm sailing free!" Lovely. Nice work, boys.
Thanks Edward 😁

Thanks we appreciate that 👊, onwards to the tropics

Another great poem and recital, you have a real talent there! Wonderful passage, looking forwards to the next installment.

Lovely poem :)
Thank you! 🙂
Lovely poem!
😎
Can you imagine what it must have been like trying to get in to that reef without the magic of GPS. Great video guys, thanks.
I don't know how we would do it. A true needle in a haystack
your poetry is bloody good! Is there a video of all your poems over time available? Phil
No they are scattered around in the episodes. I will write them all down in the book one day
Happy you made it to the reef! Only 400 more to go.
I bet you would pay a bundle, to sleep in a nice comfortable bed! Believe me..I know! Long may your big jib draw!
Stay safe from the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦
Yes only 400 left to Fiji ⛵, you would sure do anything to sleep in a bed that's not moving 🤣🤣, cheers Lloyd
Those tongs are working ok ,licking up the water ,a welsh bilge pump?
Used to pick up the sponge in the bottom of the bilge, it's a Welsh thing 😁
motor sailing to fiji wot wot 😄
Wot wot 🤣🤣
Some more poetry please5
No prob 😁
Silly question from a landlubber but would it be possible to put a hammock up to help with sleep when the boat is rocking?
We could possibly sleep in a hammock outside
Go you Taffy's. Heheeh😂
YES 😁
well done guys and more to come can't wait
Until next Sunday ✌️
It gets better and better. Boat is starting to need some tlc. breaking safety wires is not so good. 😞 Stay safe.
Yeah I think that's on our list of regular checks ✔️
You guys should reach out to a publisher and get a book deal or two! 👍
We are definitely going to do this 😎
Serious question. Why does no-one use a hammock to sleep in?
Haven't really thought about it to be honest Doug 🤔
Another great video . How long for your stay in Fiji ??? Enjoy the beer and kava
We will be here for 3 months 👍, not sure about having Kava but beer yes 😁
And they will sail 400 more - da-da da da ...! ⛵
Da da da 🤣🤣
Do you still make use of your rainwater collection system. I havent heard you mention it for a long while ?
Yes we still collect rainwater through the deck ✌️
Curious to know what the salad tongs in the bilge are about?
We have a sponge at the bottom of the bilge. Only way of reaching it is with tongs 🤣🤣
Awesome! Really appreciate you guys for keeping it real.

I do write all the poems myself 😄
Now I'm older and Bitcoin richer.. So wish I knew how to sail.. Looks way more fun than fast cars

I think Luke got confused 🤔🤣🤣
@@TheSailingBrothers After re-watching it appeared as if was referring to direction of travel rather than wind direction ..You guys rock..

Why the tongs in the bilge? Is it some sailor superstition?
There is a sponge in the bilge we use for soaking up the water. The bilge is very deep so the only way of getting this to the sponge is with tongues ✌️
