    Jason Kidd and Jason Williams are my favourite points guards of all time. Kidd throughout his career was never the fastest, never had the greatest handles, never the greatest shooter especially early in his career, but got a lot better near the end. But he was SO smart. He made everybody around him better. Incredible talent

    Jason Kidd is a basketball savant, after he retired he was the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets for a little bit and one game, he wanted to call a time out but they had none left so he had one of his players “accidentally” knock a cup of water out of his hand so they could get extra time to strategize

    10:00 you talk about having to learn Kidd’s tendencies to play with him, but it’s actually the opposite. Great point guards like Kidd know their teammates tendencies and that’s how they make those no look passes BECAUSE they know where they’re gonna be and where they like to get the ball

    Once again thank you.
    Ps When I was 9 years young I saw J Kidd play his final high school game ...... Best player I ever witnessed.
    Pps Gary Payton Rod Strickland ,Tim Hardaway, Kenny Anderson and Muhammad Abdul Rauf are also some of the best NBA guards from late 1980s and early 1990s.

      j kidd was one of those players whose career you literally could see vividly end as it was happening live during the 2013 playoffs...by the Indiana series my man literally was a statue and could not throw a rock into the ocean to save his life ..every other shot went in and out when it wasn't an airball and you could see he was washed like he was not an nba caliber player anymore...it was jarring to watch cause he showed signs in the regular season of being capable but no son it was over

    Very few players could control a game like Kidd. Not only did he always know what to do but it seemed he knew what the opposition was going to do. Simple put Jason Kidd was the best basketball player ever...At making every other player on the floor with him better. No one got more out of his teammates then Jason Kidd. Nobody. There are other players that were better individually, but he was the best at making His entire team better. Leadership. I’m thankful I got to see him play in New Jersey.

    Always fun seeing someone react to J's incredible play... You might guess from my screen name that I am a big J Kidd fan, and you're right. I saw over 70 of his high-school games in-person and soon figured out there was very very little Jason wasn't gonna do on the court. So that explains the Kiddman part of my name... The 32 part is for his high-school uniform number. Anyway, I was telling anyone who would listen to me, that Jason Kidd would be a first-ballot Hall-Of-Fame player, and I was doing so before he even played at Berzerkely.

    Great reaction! Real face expression and professional comments, love it! Next : please do DIRK NOWITZKI ! He is retiring soon. He is one of a kind, he is 7 feet tall, moving like a shooting guard when he was young, and he shoots crazy high arcing 3 like a machine! He is the best European player ever, won MVP in regular season, Finals MVP, the only non- American player who scores more than 31,000 points(Sixth all time, will be between Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan soon) and he won the NBA championship with 40 years old Jason Kidd BTW by beating Kobe, Durant and James those who teamed up with other superstars in playoffs in 2011, one of the most legendary play-off performances ever , the only player in the NBA history who only played for one team for 21 or over 21 seasons, symbol of loyalty in the field!

      Modern players are listed at their heights in shoes. Wilt stood just over 7'1 in bare feet. Shaq just over 7 feet.
      The knee surgery bit didn't have anything to do with that, just stating that he wouldn't be the best player to look up common highlights for. Unless you watched the RUclips channel Wilt Chamberlain Archive. There's a lot of great footage of young Wilt there. Most amazing physical specimen ever in his youth.

    Great video! Great player! It's also fitting that so many of those highlights started with Kidd stealing the ball, because he was also a beast on defense. At 38yo he was instrumental in holding LeBron James to 18ppg in the 2011 Finals, including 8 point game from James in game 4... Kidd also led all players in the 2011 Playoffs in Assists, Steals, and Three-Pointers Made, at 38yo...

  • @TitoMcFadden
    @TitoMcFadden 5 лет назад

    Kidd was fun to watch back in the day. He had some insane court vision. I didn't want him to ever shoot the ball because his passing was insane. His ability to create plays and rebound over the big guys was incredible. He didn't need to score because he was helping his team get those easy points. That's a real team player.

    For pretty much his first 8 years he couldn't shoot the ball to save his life. His last 6-7 years he became a decent shooter who you had to respect from 3. The first half of his career you could give him a 7-8 foot cushion if he had the ball at the 3 point line. The scouting report on him the first half of his career basically said to give him space and bait him into shooting the ball
