One of the greatest point guards of all-time. Currently ranks number 2 all-time in assists and steals. And number 4 with the most triple doubles ever. Led the league in assists 5 times. Made 9 All-Defensive teams. Made 10 All-Star teams. And made 6 All-NBA teams. Won a title with Dallas with Dirk Nowitzki (beating Miami with Lebron and Wade). I think it is safe to say that him and Magic were on another level when running the fast break.

Jason Kidd was one of Top 3 pass-first pure point guards of all time. He is #2 in both NBA All-time career assists and steals and #4 in the in all-time career Triple-doubles. One of best defenders and rebounders at the point guard position ever. In 2008 an over the hill Jason Kidd played great defense on young LeBron James in the NBA finals and Jason Kidd practically shutdown a 5 inch taller & 45bls heavier much younger LeBron in game 4 of the NBA finals Mavs v Heat. Jason Kidd drew 2 charging calls on James and forced 2 or 3 turnovers, as Dirk nowitzki and Jason Kidd beat LeBron James and Dwayne Wade in the NBA finals(not sure in how many games. In the early 2000s Jason Kidd the only star on his team brought his New Jersey nets to the NBA finals twice but lost to the Laker team with Shaq and Kobe and lost to a Spurs team with Tim Duncan, and was runner up for the MVP one of those seasons. In the early 1990s Jason Kidd Lead his small Catholic High School St Joseph of Alameda ( the suburb connected to Oakland California) to back to back California State Highschool Boys Basketball Division 1 Championships. .

Jordan is my favorite player of all time but Kidd is who I tried to model my game after as a bigger PG growing up (Kidd is 6'4"). Control the pace, distribute the ball, play good defense and be able to knock down a shot. Kidd wasn't a good shooter when he first got into the league and that was the biggest hole in his game, he really worked on it and became a nice shooter.

I'm really diggin your channel young bro. I love seeing the genuine reactions of younger heads when they see these classic great players from yester year. Guys I grew up watching. You got yourself a new sub young man. Another couple of great NBA players who are underrated that you should do reaction videos for are George Gervin. The "Iceman" was one of the greatest scorers ever who from '77-'84 averaged a whopping 29.9 ppg. Chris Webber who is one of the most underrated PF ever. And Kevin Johnson. A perennial all star PG who is criminally underrated and was excellent on both ends of the floor. Alex English, who was also a prodigious scorer who was constantly in the top 5 in the NBA in PPG year in and out in the late 70's and 80s. Adrian Dantley, who in those same years averaged over 30 points a game and was number one in scoring a few of those seasons. Lots of GREAT forgotten players man. Guys who are in the Hall but have been forgotten by time. It happens. But one player I haven't seen you cover is the guy who was the prototype for all those high flying great players who came after him - DOCTOR J, Julius Erving. He was at the top of a lot of people's GOAT list before Jordan popped up. When you take into account he was doing these things in the 70s when no one before him had done it - and the fact that he brought "street ball" into the NBA - he should be talked about way more. Dude used to bust @SS at the Rucker in Harlem during the summer time. There is video of that too. And Kidd, man him and Vince Carter were a problem together on the Nets for multiple seasons. Even made it to the Finals where they lost to Kobe and the Lakers I believe. Anyway, good stuff man, keep it up.

He was also one of the best perimeter defenders in the game. Basically, think if Russell Westbrook (without the explosiveness) and Magic Johnson had a baby. Besides it being the ugliest baby ever, you’d have a guy like Jason Kidd. Triple doubles were a given with him some nights. He won a title, helping leading the Mavs in 2011. For me he is the most accurate passer of all time, specially when he is on Dallas..sheeshh

The reason why people forget these types of players is because they peaked on the wrong time. For example: Jason Kidd peaked exactly on the era where Shaq/Kobe's Laker's and Duncan, Tony Parker& Manu's Spurs dominated

Jason Kidd is far from small he’s 6’4” and around 205 pounds. He was basically a mixture of Gary Payton and Steve Nash minus the shooting or you can say a taller CP3 minus the shooting. Even though Kidd is like top 5-10 all time in 3 point shooting, it wasn’t the strongest part of his game
