Based on your question at 21:15 yes, it was the 1992 Finals vs Portland. Some reporter said Jordan wasn't a good 3 point shooter, so then in Game 1 of the Finals, he set a record 6 straight 3 pointers in the first half. That was famously known as the shrug game. He probably could have broke many more 3 point records in that game, but it was basically over at halftime (like most of his games).
You got to add MJ’s famous line when asked if Drexler was a better 3point shooter. “He’s a better 3point shooter than I choose to be!”

I know that’s not how stats work but when you don’t take many to begin with, taking 1 a game that most players these days wouldn’t even attempt (to protect their stats) can have a significant impact
I refuse to believe someone that great a shooter couldn’t have been great at 3’s if he gave it more focus but his reasoning makes sense.
When you have such an explosive first step, can get bigs in foul trouble and can put the defense into recovery mode, why would you bail them out by settling for 3’s

Remember Jordan played 3 years of college ball versus Lebron coming straight into the league.This is just a small sample of why Lebron James will never be the G.O.A.T. Those of us from the Jordan era got to see him showcase his greatness every time he played. Yes you can talk about Lebron's talent all day but as you can see he is not on Jordan's level. Jordan would have been GREAT in any era. There is Jordan and then there is everyone else.
Completely agree......not to mention, Jordan was playing against some of the games greatest players in history (Magic, Bird, Gary Peyton, Ewing, etc.) Lebron isn't playing against anybody that is mentioned with those names.....then even when he was over 40 years old, he came back & at any given moment would put up 30+ points against guys that were in their primes....shit, didn't he have 1 or 2 games in a Wizards uniform where he had 50 points??....he walked into the Atlanta Hawks locker room and told them "better suit up, it's gonna be a long night"....then proceeded to drop 60 points on them that night....

Michael Jordan is easily the greatest player of all time. The stories you're speaking of are amazing to one who didn't watch him live but to a guy like myself who had Chicago sports channel on one of those old 6 foot satellite dishes and watched every freaking game he ever played it was life altering. When I'm 80 talking to my grandchildren they'll be amazed I actually saw him live.
One game Jordan dunked on a guard, and somebody on the opposing bench says, "Pick on somebody your own size." So, Jordan comes down the next possession, finds the tallest guy, and dunks on him too, and then goes up to the guy on the bench and says, "Was he big enough?" Lol

The even crazier aspect of these highlight reels is the fact that the players he is making look like fools are hall of famers now. He was making other players considered the greats of their era look like amateurs in comparison. It's not like they didn't try to stop MJ. Double and triple team him. It just didn't matter. Especially as he got older.

@@jawybee1977 Oh so true. Tim Hardaway and Shawn Kemp come to mind. Both would be in for sure if Jordan and the Bulls hadn't ruined their chances at a ring. Even Jordan's teammates were overshadowed by his greatness. I truly believe if Scottie Pippen played on any other team, the Bulls would not have had such an easy time 3- peating twice. In fact, Pippen would have been a few rings shorter BUT he would've been a multiple time MVP on any other team. Look up his numbers. They're downright impressive. He was consistently good for years. But he played with Jordan so he was always seen as a supporting character even though he was probably the second best player in the league for years.

I was talking to this high school the other day while we were playing ball who says LeBron is the greatest, I told him that I'd watched both guys in their prime and that to really understand how great mj was you had to actually be there. Like his highlights are great, but there was just something different about him in the 4th quarter, you just knew if he was in the game that he was GOING to take over and the bulls would win, it was must see tv! I've never ever seen anything like watching his entire career unfold, it was unreal and as great as LeBron is, no disrespect to him, Jordan was a different level.

Don’t get me wrong, Kareem was absolutely amazing, but when it came to picking up his entire team and carrying them if need be, Jabbar was not that guy. That role belonged to Magic for the Lakers more than Jabbar. And if you ask Magic who the greatest of all time is, he will say Michael Jordan. Jordan was unreal....all due respect to Magic, Kareem, Bird, Dr.J, Kobe , Lebron and all the other greats, they were incredible, but Jordan was just on another level. His athleticism, size, hands, leaping ability off 1 or 2 feet , shot creativity, mid- range, drives , 3 when needed ,defense etc. Is unique in it's own right. The combination of all these attributes to go with his skill set,very high basketball IQ,mental toughness and killer instinct sets this guy apart from all the other greats, not to mention the fact he always had a flair for the dramatic and just was beautiful to watch with mad swag.
alot of people criticize Jordan for low 3 pt percentage but he was at very beginning of 3 pt era. There was no 3 pt shot when he was a kid or playing high school ball. he went to UNC coached by "4 corners" Dean Smith where there were still no 3s and if there was they damn sure weren't shooting them. Jordan was competent 3 point shooter who was MONEY if challenged, disrespected, game on the line, etc and thats all he needed to be. Had Jordan been born today he would have practiced 3s his whole life and would easily be one of the top 3 point shooters in the league he just never fully implemented them into his game because his GOAT game was developed before 3 pointer. I agree with your comment Curtis and specifically hate when I see modern day "analytics" types taking shots at Mike for 3 pt percentage.

Im speaking from someone who lived not in the states at that time. Around the globe people wanted to be like Mike not Magic or Bird. That was the impact Jordan had. Thanks for the great vid. Watching his clips all these years later and it's exciting. Imagine watching him play live it was like witnessing miracles. I truly miss those days. Even if you hated MJ for destroying your team you couldn't look away, I mean Everyone watched the Bulls just to see what Mike was going to do. Then the Dream Team was so special to watch because we got to see MJ along with the rest of the NBA Juggernauts dominate the Olympics and completely crush any opposition. Im truly thankful I was lucky enough to see it all happen. MJ the GOAT hands down.
Now you see why people hype up Jordan. People knew he was getting the ball and he'd still do something amazing, there were no holes in his game. To do what he did in the era he did it in is incredible. People bring up 3 point shooting but that isn't a hole, he could easily get a bucket while getting thrown into the stands by the whole team. All of his improvements over seasons were done for a reason. He can score well but can't play defense? Defensive player of the year. He can't beat the Pistons? Took an off season of bulking up to take any kind of punishment dished out on him. Still getting beat up over time? Learn the fadeaway shot. He doesn't trust his teammates? Trust Steve Kerr and John Paxson to knock down huge game winners. Undeniably the GOAT across most of the basketball world. Players come into the league already having a long way to go to catch up to his accomplishments.

Well written. Very well put. We must be getting old man, because I am reading these comments, and people straight up don't know the things you just listed (it is like they don't know any of it). To me it is like second nature, but it is all a surprise to them. Clearly YOU know it. If MJ played today, he'd break the internet (switch hand move against the Lakers in the Finals- social media non functional across the globe. They'd have to reboot every platform). He'd average 45 points a game (easy), because you cannot touch anyone anymore. He is not just some meme who sells kicks. He had been a one-man show on the Bulls until Pippen developed into an all star, the first all star other than him on the Bulls team. I've been fortunate enough to seen them BOTH LIVE on the court! It is impossible to think Jordan was greater than Dr. J if you saw them BOTH Live... Growing up as a kid in Chicago in the 90’s rewatching these classic highlights I’m nearly in tears. My god. Basketball has never been the same. God I used to love this sport.
My earliest memory from my childhood was going to a Pacers/Bulls game and seeing Reggie and Jordan in the mid 90s go at each other. I can't think of a better matchup in the history of the NBA than those two.

Jordan had incredible skills with an arsenal of offensive weapons, amazing B-ball IQ and court vision, brilliant passer, deadly defender, a great shot blocker for his position and sneaky stealer, excellent ball handler, an unrelenting hard worker, unbelievable footwork, and a killer panther like competitive nature, majestic and unparalleled in the air with the most amazing hang time ever with an ability to change his shot mid air like know one ever, absolutely clutch and played on another level when it mattered the most, and despite what some have said, he did make his team mates better in his own way, particularly by demanding nothing but the best from them. Jordan made the impossible look like a walk in the park. I'm a die hard Kobe fan and even I have had to admit the GOATness of MJ after watching dozens of hours of clips after the fact.
Sister, maybe you were too young when he was in his prime,but I can tell you first hand he was by far the most talented athlete in the world,and what made him even more devastating,he was the most intelligent athlete in the world.You could not beat him physically or mentally.He was too strong for everyone.He had no weaknesses.He just lit it up his whole career.He played to entertain us and inspire us and that motivated him to be at his best.That's why he's loved so much.

Bth have the same number of titles but MJ are the FMVP for all six while kareen only have 2 FMVP, which means he was out-performed by someone else while MJ is always the best player on the court so that makes MJ better than Kareen, title isnt the only merit, but how you get those titles too.

If everyone else was lagging behind, he'd be there hitting deuce after deuce, keeping the team within striking distance so that in a moment of psych, they could overtake the rival and never look back. He didn't miss much, and if you gave him a millimeter, he was going to punish you for it.

I had the absolute distinct pleasure of watching Michael Jordan’s entire career. I can honestly say, as a crazy Seattle SuperSonics fan, there were times I HATED Michael Jordan. Why? Because you knew, no matter what, that your team was in serious trouble the instant he took the floor. At the same time, I always had the absolute utmost respect for MJ. His professionalism, his leadership, his competitiveness, his “Never say Never, Never say Die” was uplifting and hope bringing the more of his life and experiences you applied to your own life. I mean, the guy got CUT from his high school basketball team. Michael Jordan. Cut. Not good enough. He trained himself and applied himself so much and so hard that the following year he was the player of the year in his league.

I grew up and watched Jordan when it was that era of basketball and I still watch today's basketball. Lemme tell you, Lebron ain't got nothin' on Jordan. Jordan just had that certain swagger and finesse that Lebron might be able to imitate here and there from time to time (although, I see it as more of raw power), but Jordan had it all the time and then some!

One of MJ's best plays ever has eluded me on RUclips. He was playing the Suns, he was to the left of the key facing the basket, and maybe just above the top of the key. He beat his man, drove into the key right about the left side of the foul line. Charles Barkley was on the right side of the blocks guarding his man. Barkley sees Jordan coming, leaves his man, and both men jump about the same time, collide chest to chest, Jordan reaches over him, jams the ball, and knocks Barkley down on his back. Literally. Jordan hung on the rim looking down at Barkley for probably 3 seconds. Barkley was on his back looking up. Jordan dropped, split his legs so he wouldn't land on Barkley, spun, and ran up the court. Barkley peeled himself up off the floor and jogged up the court shaking his head. Anyone else remember that? I seem to think it was a regular season game.

I was fortunate to watch Jordan play throughout his career from '84 with the Bulls until he finally retired with the Wizards.
I was a Lakers fan first then a Bulls fan during his career.
He dropped 63 points against the Boston Celtics during the playoffs in 1986 in Boston Garden that remains the most points in a playoff game in 2019.
He dropped the six 3pt shots against the Blazers in a game during the 1992 NBA Finals after the Blazers players claimed his was "one dimensional" and " couldn't shoot the 3".
The highlight where he jumps really high after making the shot was during a playoff game against the Cavaliers either in 1988 or 1989 where it propelled the Bulls as an up and coming team. This is when the NBA East was dominated by the Celtics and later the Pistons during the 1980's.
The Bulls owned the 1990's during their NBA run winning six NBA titles.
Jordan "retired" after the 1993 NBA season after allegations of gambling were made against him.
He joined the Chicago White Sox organization during this time and was a less than average baseball player.
