    15 had been into the 24 all season. That crazy dive bomb at Martinsville is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. He had fresher tires, he could have probably won if he'd raced clean. Gordon had finally had enough. You can only punch a guy like Gordon (4 time champ, fierce and touch competitor) so many times before he bites your hand off. Bowyer had been screwing him all year and Gordon called in his tab. This was textbook "enough is enough".

      redsoxrok34 if you actually pay attention to the martinsville incident Newman gave bowyer a shove into the turn and that is how that happened

    For the 24, I think the contact in this race was like the straw that broke his back. The 15 has been super aggressive with Jeff all year it seems, and Gordon finally broke.

    When I watched this live, I was a little concerned for Gordon's safety when the crew jumped him. It looked like they had taken him down to the ground and were dogpiling and beating the shit out of him. Thankfully he actually wasn't a part of that. He got dragged away beforehand.

All i hear about are how different racers keep breaking rules and nothing seems to come of it, or someone gets sued or "fined" or something over something dumb. It's about time i hear something like this that actually makes sense and is still exiting, for a change.

When the drivers were human instead of sponsor owned robots that can't show any emotion Nascar was the best thing out there, now usually just a couple boring hours of people trying not to get in trouble for saying shit or bumping someone. I think a four-time champ knows what the differences between wreck-less driving and racing hard is. I love how a kid on RUclips questions a 4-time champ with 84 wins. Danica Patrick is one thing, but a hero of this sport. That's kind of funny. You make my day mate. Now I gotta watch some Breaking Bad and some of Aliya Mustafina's old FX routines. Getting a bit bored comparing a legend to a son of a legend.

    Dale never said anything bad about Jeff, he just said that he was worried that Brad wouldn't make it through the wreck. Dale knows how Jeff fells because he was in the same situation at Bristol 05 with Ryan Newman, Dale felt like he wasn't being shown the respect that a veteran of the sport deserves, especially a champion so he wrecked Newman. As a veteran and a champion there's a certain degree of respect that you should have and when the young guns don't give it to you, you set them straight.

    • @nascarfanatic2425
      @nascarfanatic2425 8 лет назад +9

      +broncoKING24 There's also one other silver lining to what Jeff did: Bowyer didn't win the championship. He most likely would've beaten Keselowski by virtue of the chase if Jeff never wrecked Bowyer. As much as I'm probably going to get ragged on for this, Keselowski deserved the title in 2012. He was the best driver w/o the chase, and he truly drove like a champion that year. He doesn't seem to anymore, but his driving in 2012 was admirable to say the least.

    No you don't get a free pass if you're average. Anyone who had been repeatedly knocked around the track as much as Bowyer had done to Gordon will eventually dig their heel in. The reason this happened is Bowyer thought he could just do whatever he wanted. It just happened to be the guy he picked a fight with was a 4-time champ. If he had treated anyone else the same way all year and they put him in the wall I'd support that driver the same way

    So many people are dying with COVID, heart attacks, sickness, suicide,accidents, murder..........Man!, I’m not even over Dales death yet. I need a break......
    By the way, Jeff Gordon has his own natural skills. I watched his whole career and he is by far one of the most relevant race car drivers in history, he ran with the old Gaurd and raced with the young guns and made everyone look over their shoulder. Dale respected him..... I still think Dale was the best.

Fall race, that's just good ol' short track racing. They were just rubbing each other, and rubbin's racing. This though, could've been avoided. All Clint had to do was check up, wait a little bit longer, and make his move when he could've made the pass.
