I’ve thought of that! But I feel like it’s for the more seasoned tourer, as I need to consider the dry environment factor, logistics, and carry enough water and food till the next town…or am I overthinking this? 🤔

Yes some bus can carry your bike with extra charge. If I remember correctly, the bus I was using is Alisan coach. Intercity coach within Malaysia can take bike too but ask them in advance to confirm first.
