  • Took delivery today of a Tesla Model S with the Stealth Grey color. In this video I compare it to the previous Midnight Silver Metallic. I did this upgrade to transfer free unlimited supercharging. I plan on getting a stealth PPF next week.

    Congrats, man. Sold my 2019 M3 (which i loved) and ordered a 2023 Model S when they announced the huge price cuts, I didn't really appreciate how it's just such a nicer ride, the materials and interior are just alot more luxe, and it's a heavy, solid, very fast ride. I chose the black, black interior as I liked the ebonized wood, as well as the 21" arachnid wheels, which i know are totally impractical, but ride nicely and I'm just prepared to replace the tires regularly. No regrets, they look so amazing. Love the car. And with the Arachnid wheels there's literally nothing like it on the road for $79k. I do feel bad for those that paid more, but we buy these and keep them for years. and they're a great car. I'm not worried about future price cuts- mine's an awesome car at a great price. That's enough.

      Congrats!! I considered black as well. The Satin PPF wraps on those look amazing, although so does the gloss. M3 are solid cars but until you own an S it's hard to really appreciate the difference. I've never owned an M3 but coming from a 7 yr old S in some ways was an even bigger jump haha. Hav you taken delivery of it yet? And ye the price cuts were great, and it's hard to imagine them getting much cheaper but even if it does, no regrets here. I'll keep this for the long haul 😊

      congratulations! how often do you think the tires would need replacing on the 21's?

    Cool video, but it's odd that Tesla would call that "Stealth Grey." It's so shinny, that it's still very metallic. Not the "stealthy" matte or stain finish once would expect.

    Congrats👍🏾 looks great. Just curious, why didn’t you go with the plaid?

      In the past, the non performance models were decently quick but nothing crazy. However the long range Model got a significant speed increase. In fact, after the Plaid models it’s the fastest Tesla, tied with the performance model 3 (3.1 second 0-60). Basically, it is PLENTY fast. And the only other advantage of the plaid is the spoiler and better brakes, which isn’t worth the $15k price jump for me personally. We also plan on using this car for long road trips so the extra 45 miles of range was important to me.

    What after market wheels did you end up getting ? Can you retro fit it with 21 inch?

      I ended up getting wheel caps and replaced the tempest ones. I did a video on it. I do love how the 21s look. But I wanted to keep the range

      It ended end of dec but then they brought it back temporarily up until end of March. Wouldn’t be surprised if the do it another time this year so be on the lookout.

      Yea it looked great either way to be honest. I’d wrestled with the idea of a satin finish on my last 3 cars so finally gave it a shot. So far I love it : )

    The wood looks nice for a couple of months, but then it will dry out, making the car look old.

    I'm very much considering a Model S Plaid stealth grey over the ultra red. Need to see both in person to decide.😂

      @TESLA_ENTHUSIAST  5 месяцев назад

      Haha I debated this for a long time. Finally went to a store and looked at both. Tough call! But with the Satin PPF I thought maybe the stealth grey looked better. If you don’t do a PPF or do glossy, it’s a tough call!

    great comparison! They're all beautiful but I still much prefer the midnight silver metallic as the stealth grey looks too much like black. It's still a nice color way though. Thanks for this!
