    Ordered my 2022 2500 LT gas back in July and it's finally built and being shipped to me. Not towing anything huge, just my camper, but excited to upgrade from my Silverado 1500.

    Glad you went with chevy, I ordered 2 diesels and 1 gas 2022 for my business in red hot customs and I get nothing but compliments. They are great workhorses and the most comfortable ride compared to f250s. You got the marker lights which makes it look more rugged. The one thing that made my two diesel builds better was the comfort infotainment with crash avoidance for only 400 more and the sound system came upgraded. I also ordered the diesels with split gate. And repairs are 80% easier than on any ford out there.

      @@aslife3813 yes that was a great deal, Honestly that silver custom is my favorite color. If I dint have to keep the company red I would’ve chosen silvers. reason I had to pre ordered back in June I was getting scammed into paying 10k over sticker for a truck on a lot, that dealership missed out because I went to a more reputable dealership and placed my orders, took 9 weeks but we’ll worth it at sticker pricing. This is exactly what I need. I'm a little old school and I usually keep my trucks and tell the wheels almost fall off so all those nice luxury features usually start to break down after a while. I basically use my truck for hauling and I'm not trying to impress anybody. So a good basic truck is what all I need.

    Good video man. Ignore the negative comments. I just bought one, a gasser in white. Pick it up on Tuesday after they install the plow. I decided to pull the trigger as my 2011 1500 was getting tired and I think interest rates are about to go bananas. I purchased a New 2021 3500HD Silverado LTZ (SWR) with every option back in Jan 21 for 72k. The MSRP was 76k and they had GM zero percent financing at that time. These trucks are crazy money and I almost went with a gas powered version but after a year and 17,000 miles of pulling our 12k fifth wheel (Grand design 303RLS) all over the Rockies and Sierra mountains (we live in the Sierra Foothills) I am thrilled to have this truck. I just traded my 2021 W/T reg cab for a 22 crew cab custom. Both are gas. I can’t justify the 10k for the Duramax nor do I need the extra power. I pull a 33.5 ft. Grey Wolf travel trailer bumper pull that weighs about 7500 pounds. The 6.6 gas does great and I get between 9 and 10 mpg loaded.

    I'm 5'10" tall and test drove a new 2021 2500WT 4x4 Regular Cab, manual seats. I liked it but had 2 issues. First the manual driver's seat was too low for me. For 2022 the Custom or LT trim can be optioned with the 10-way power driver's seat so that would solve that problem. The other concern is ride. I could only test drive it on pavement. It was stiffer than a 1500 half ton but was acceptable. However I am on logging roads a lot and have been told the ride can be jarring.

    • @aslife3813
      @aslife3813  3 года назад

      A reg cab with its shorter WB will always be more jarring in the seat, but remember, the HD parts and frame will last much longer on those logging roads. I worked in the oil field here in CO for 8 yes and our 250’s hardly ever had suspension issues other than shocks wearing out quick, guys with 1/2 tons always had to get steering and suspension parts replaced. But I agree with the seat position, I wish I was a little higher and I’m 6’

    • @dantimber
      @dantimber 3 года назад +1

      @@aslife3813 That's a good point about the shorter wheelbase with a regular cab. I'm interested in the double cab standard bed as a compromise in size. I suppose it should ride better.
      I compared configurations on Chevy's website. Here's what they list for turning circles:
      Reg Cab, Long Bed: 46.9'
      Double Cab, Standard Bed: 49.5'
      Double Cab, Long Bed: 53.9'
      Crew Cab, Standard Bed: 52.7'
      Crew Cab, Long Bed: 57'
      I guess the longer the wheelbase the better the ride everything else being equal? The Regular Cab sure would be maneuverable and handy in the woods and around town! But cab space could be a challenge.

      @aslife3813  3 года назад +1

    • @dantimber
      @dantimber 3 года назад +1

      @@aslife3813 Ha ha that's true. I think 2.6 feet larger turning circle shouldn't be a big deal.
      I'm a member of a hunting club of about a dozen guys that lease about 5000 acres of timbered forest land. It's just one of dozens of other similar contiguous leases. I would think it's very similar to oil fields property. The roads are constantly subjected to logging trucks, skidders, and other heavy equipment and of course get deeply rutted. Rain makes it worse. Every couple of months they run a motor grader over the worse roads but it's a never ending job. We never know what we'll encounter and usually my first question texting to a member is about road conditions.
      Anyway most of us drive 4x4 1/2 tons and yes they get a lot of wear and tear. Also most of us don't add lifts and huge tires. They look cool I guess but messing with the suspension seems to add more problems. I'm thinking of trying a 3/4 ton for a change. Your point about HD trucks being stouter makes a lot of sense.

    Dear
    followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who
    buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into
    the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service,
    the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a
    malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help
    will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep
    your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.GM is a big bluf

    It's not an Allison, it's Allison branded, there is a Big difference.

    • @samduran5180
      @samduran5180 2 года назад

      Actually there isn't a difference because GM has been making there Allison branded transmissions for 10 years now with no issues.

    • @norsevikingsir4932

      @@samduran5180 Actually there is a huge difference, that's why they don't run the 10 speeds in the 5500 and 6500 commercial duty, they run the dependable 6 speed Allison.

      I’ve owned all big 3 brand trucks, and two jeeps. They all go thru their own bad and good times with mechanical issues, but what I’ve found is 75% of issues can be avoided with proper maintenance and not adding power the hard parts weren’t meant to handle. But no, can’t afford 2! Thanks for watching sir

      Agreed, that’s why I said cheapish haha. It’s all relative. The order I had in at Ford for a 350 would’ve been over &80k after taxes but that was a lariat trim
