I did it 4 years.. they are NOT a HONEST company. He is right they will send out 5 minimum then 2 days later do it again and charge all these contractors. I was glad to pay if i talked to someone but there was so many fake phone numbers and you would get charged for those and some times at there discretion give you your money back on the fake ones. I am questioning if they not generated by angie themselves for revenue. Ultimately they are not honest with their practices

Any updates on what was the solution in your side? I’m having the exact same problem.. I’m on 52,000 miles and I do have warranty service, I’m still waiting on the dealer for parts.

I believe they know from day one that the problem is there, and they prefer the money and I fixed later, which is what happens; it is embarrassing and also inflicts a lot of pain and stress on the consumer doing that if you only have only one truck to doing business, you will end it in a difficult situation with your customer that they don't understand the problem and wanted the job done.

I don’t disagree with you in some cases, but I think you just got a bad apple and really bad dealership. Here in Texas, I hade to drive 1.5hrs to a small town dealership. They were able to get me in same day and determine it was a transmission leak issue. Within 4 days, they installed a new transmission. If I had gone to a local dealership, I would have had to wait 2 weeks just to get into a lift.

I would like to know how people drive these trucks? It might be the issue here maybe too much skinny pedal and not much common sense

Mine’s been in the shop since 7/31. It is approaching 60 days. Ridiculous GM is about to have to pony up some $$$ or get this thing fixed before my busiest time of the year for my truck. Otherwise someone who has been a loyal customer may flip. Bought the truck pre-owned in April. 36% of the time I’ve owned it, it has been in the shop and I have been unable to enjoy the things I do with my truck during that time.

Just bought a 2022 same engine and 10 speed. Now I’m worried.

2023 GMC 3500 HD 40,000 miles , same issues going into 4th.. dealership says no parts in country! Plus they won’t step up and give a break on trading.. they say they will screw me basically because the truck is broken and I will definitely be upside down in payments now.. what a joke and scam.. same dealership that sold it to me a couple months ago..

I’m in my second company truck now because like clockwork these transmissions keep going out exactly how you described. Today(third truck) right now as I am typing this my truck is in limp mode as well. First two trucks are still in the shop to this day 3 months later.

Gm gave away the only thing that made them worth a damn.

However, the ONLY way to credit your account is for them to not respond. If the lead does not respond, not once, you'll get the credit back. For Commercial cleaning, it is $70 + per lead.

I bought a 95 gmc 2500 for $1500 about 5 years ago, it never has any problems. It refuses to die. 280k miles so far.

Little trick I do when threading bolts in engine bay I tie a piece of thin fishing line under head so if and when I drop I can retrieve easily. Once threads start I remove the line to tighten with socket

This just happened to me yesterday on my 2023 Silverado Duramax 3.0. I got a P0700 / P0747. With only 20m miles. I dropped it off at the dealer since I have warranty still. Wondering if the same supply issues are happening and if GM will even loan you a like for like car while you wait for it to be fixed. Any luck anyone ?

Hey my dude, I want to thank you and everyone else who records when they're having issues with the 10L1000. I hope it KICKS GM IN THE ASS! That being said, I am the only Trans tech in my chevy dealer. I have 1 truck right now waiting for a valve body on backorder since July 26th. They authorized a transmission replacement today. Which means valve bodies for Allison are so far on backorder that GM is willing to replace the transmission for customer satisfaction. If that doesn't tell you something. I feel for you fellows that paid 70 or 80 or even 100 grand for a truck that you can't use. It's robbery frankly. On a side note. I've been seeing a pattern that the 10L1000, as a whole, only last about 100k miles. So take that for what it's worth.

2023 2500hd same problem. Transmission on national back order. It's my service truck for my air conditioning business. Going to get truck from dealer and take to suncoast in ft walton fl to build it. 12,500.00. 3 year unlimited mile warranty. Sucks big time.

I got a 1998 sierra and a 2024 2500 HD. Honestly....the '98 is a better truck. I find myself driving that more than the '24. There's a reason why older trucks are holding their value now more than ever. I'm convinced there are no good trucks being made now days.

Same thing with my 2023 Chevrolet LTZ 2500 Flat ground 40-50 mph started slipping. 30,000 miles. I like the way the Chevy drives but may be time for a Ford.

Yes, not enough on this subject on YT. My 9 month old 28 K Silverado has been stuck in Birmingham, Alabama, for over a month and two weeks. I do spesalized construction for a living and have to tow a trailer across the country to do this construction work, so I buy a brand new truck every two years or so . It turns out i'm gonna have to go buy another truck to replace this truck. This is a very expensive endeavor. Is on my part being without a truck. No word yet on when they will get a valve body for my ten speed Alison transmission. And I need to be in San Diego by next monday. Or lose out on a fifty thousand dollar gig. So yeah. I have to buy a new truck and i'm out of town still in Alabama , I still owe forty thousand dollars on the old truck that I can't trade in . Im trying to get GM to buy it back. This kind of thing hurts.

The Chevy right now is a piece junk, I buy a 2022 2500 diesel , the transmission is broke in 19000 miles, never buy Chevy again.

Allison does not build these. These are a allsuon design from years ago and GM build them

Hey Matt, when you had a bumper pull did you use a WDH? I have a 2022 Ram 2500. Just installed my Timbrens. My trailer is about 8000 lbs. Dry, 34 feet long, 900 tongue weight. Thinking about a B&W drop hitch to keep her level and trying to steer away from a WDH. Payload on truck is about 3300 lbs. Appreciate your thoughts, thank you for your video!

I am in Arizona. I very very unhappy with Angi's. They sent the leads to too many people. They charge from $35.00 to $100.00 to every company they send the leads. Some of the leads are not from people are fake. They charge you automatically and if you want your money back they give you credit. You are force to stay with them because you have the credit and they don't give you the money. They charge you automatically for membership about $275.00, if you want two days later cancel, they don't refund your money. They do it so you stay with because you want to get some for your money. I decided to still cancel because I don't want to deal with again.

For what it's worth, the 2024 3500's have an electric steering rack. No bump steer issues.

Had same issue with my 2022 AT4 2500 Duramax. Truck was out of service for 2+months. New transmission and valve body replaced. And my truck only had 5500 miles on it! 😡
