Good video Matt, glad to see you continue to grow. Been following along for about 4 months now and am enjoying your channel. I have a small hauling business in Northern California (north of Sacramento) and just purchased an F350 Diesel. Eventually I plan on going either pro-tainer or Nedlands route down the road but for now I'm keeping things small with my day job only allowing so much time and growth.
Are you pretty happy with the pro-tainer system overall? Sounds like you are moving toward CDL/rolloff next, super exciting! Is that because you can haul heavier and be more maneuverable?

Hey thanks for the kind words I appreciate that and thanks for watching. Protainer overall has been a great trailer…. That said, their roll offs are not great. I will be moving up to hooklift truck in time for spring next year mainly for maneuvering and ease of operation. When I hire a driver I don’t want to have to train them on something complicated. As far as hauling heavier weight, I will have some heavy duty 6-8 yd HD roll offs built for concrete sod and dirt. Not a lot of companies haul it and it’s a great value for the customer and you can charge a premium. I hope you continue to grow and hope the superduty does work for you!🇺🇸🙏🏻

@@aslife3813 thanks for the reply and insights. That makes total sense, you gotta keep it simple for employees and minimize potential accidents. Will you plan to keep driving the truck and trailer setup at that time when you get the hooklift truck?

Just curious … what’s the reason to de rate the trailer to 14k ? Is your truck 12k gvw? Or planning to get a 1 ton? Thank you!

It’s so my GCWR stays under CDL limits of 26k. My trucks gvwr is 11 and change so 14k trailers keep me legal

It’s been great honestly. No real issues to speak of other than hydraulic fluid being overfilled
