I could watch this type of content for hours.....thank you for sharing this.
Scott Stallings ( check your spelling of his name) - such a solid pro. So many guys on the PGA hit irons with a 3/4 swing . Great content Mark- who else doing this on youtube??- no one. Great stuff Mark.
These inside Titleist and their tour players minds videos are beyond awesome. More please!🤓
Mark I love the interactions with the guys inside the ropes like this, it make them more interesting when they let us know that they are searching for ( it ) too.
Always good to see the tour guys tinkering and with Mark's insights - magic!
Get Up Dan was salivating at that 3.6 degree launch angle
I have project X 6.0 shafts that are hard stepped, my fitter did this because I had better launch and tighter dispersion with a 6.5 but I liked the weight of the 6.0 better and got more ball speed and swing speed with it, so it gave me closer to a 6.5 for stiffness but kept the weight closer to the 6.0
I've heard many theories on hard and soft stepping. Great to see it how it affects a pro. I'm 59 and now soft step my shafts. It works for me.
I hardstepped regular flex 950GH HT shafts. Worked really well for me at that age.
Good luck getting stalings ball flight up.! Don’t think a shaft will quite be enough. Great video again . Cheers xx
Scott is supercool looking really good.
Thanks Mark cheers from Norcal
I love my c taper x130s but hard stepping them holy heck 💪
Pimp my launch!!! So cool to see these discussions come out...
Interesting! Mark, youre obviously not a shaftoid, yet you are working with guys that are seeing and feeling differences. How does their choices conflict with your own thoughts on shafts ? Cheers Brah
This is my favourite stuff you put out bruh...love it
@@any1younger It's another way the muppets say bro
Absolutely great content, love this type of stuff.
He's a beast
Love these videos. I could take them being a bit longer.
Nevermind the shaft, just look at how perfectly in balance at the finish Scott is. I would love that, as opposed to my normal finishing position which bears rather too much resemblance to Bambi on ice
So! I'm not the only one!! :-)
LOL.... had a good chuckle on that one bruh
Mine are all the C taper X flex and hard stepped as well. Best shafts I've ever hit
They are different beasts. Nothing sounds the same as a crisply hit ball from a tour pro. I'm a low handicapper and I would be hard pressed to remember ever hitting an iron with that crisp fizz.
Great great video
Fascinating video, thanks!
What a beast
Loving this. Holy short backswing Batman! Guess he’s probably strong enough to generate speed.....
Scott Stallings has busted his butt to get in shape and he’s changed significantly since the first time we saw him on tour.
Launch angle 0.6?? Wow, Dan hits bomb balls compared to that.
Wow he’s ripped. Looks great. He needs a w soon, very talented guy.
Dan says 'Hold my beer' 😂
Where are the shaftoids???
What’s fitting system are they using? I noticed a white clipboard sized unit on the ground and the iPad combo.
I played Soft Stepped KBS Stiff for 2 years. I felt that it took spin off and went a bit high...but maybe that was just me.
Srixon'ized the sole of that titleist
?? I am about to hard step 6.0 Project X shaft (Twice) I am trying to accomplish soft X and bring my ball flight down sleughtly... Should I onky soft step (once) I have always moved between Dynamic Golf S400 shafts and Project X, my current S400's are hard stepped Once, not twice... Would it be a mistake hard stepping my new project X 6.0 shaft (twice) to achieve my goal... See aforementioned reason doing this
marky mark more of these videos..enough with the serious golf bit cant take muppets serious lol...
Am I the only person who doesn't know what hard step and soft stepping the shafts is 🤔
MegaJoeytube I had to look it up lol. Too much crap to learn in this damn game.
MegaJoeytube soft stepping is putting a 7 iron shaft into an 8 iron (flex will be less stiff) while hard stepping is putting an 8 iron shaft into a 7 iron (flex will be stiffer). This process is used throughout the set of irons sometimes used to adjust the stiffness of the club by half of a flex (stiff + vs stiff -)
For me, stepping the shaft is more about feel than anything.
It does make them stiffer though. It really brought my dispersion down because the spin was more consistent
What’s the band he’s wearing on his wrist?
Looked like that first shot in the intro was proper topped.
Sub Club Loves dream again
@@arjanpetersen don't think so.
@@arjanpetersen definitely blocked it right.
Question: I got fitted by someone at a retail shop and was put into a hard stepped shaft with .5" extension.
Went back to my pga pro and he said i need to get another .5" extension. With a club hard stepped and not stock length, do i have to get a new custom shaft? or can they just throw in the extra .5" like a normal extension would be?
I'd have thought they'd take the 1/2" extension out and put a 1" in it's place. That's if I understand the issue correctly.
@@user-wf7vs3hd9n don't think i correctly worded my thinking.
Didn't know since i got the shaft hard stepped and custom built with .5" extension, was the custom built shaft made .5" longer? or would it be normal length and then they added .5"?
I know this comment is old, but for anyone else reading...Hard stepping makes the club shorter. The 8iron now has a 9iron shaft in it, so it will play at the length of the 9iron. The 1/2” extension took your club length’s back to where they were before the shafts were stepped. Without a length change, hard stepping makes the clubs shorter; soft stepping makes the clubs longer.
These guys are so pampered and then they have people in the crowd looking for their errant shots in the rough..
Competition for get up Dan ☝️
Is Scott Dan's love child. 0.6
Thin to win... Jesus he doesn't like to hurt the grass does he.
His launch angle is extremely low.
Another player whose left foot comes off the ground around impact.
Everyone talking bs

So the bloke who invents a word for people fascinated by shafts and constantly claims that they make no difference, releases a video, on shafts?
Haha I know it’s amazing isn’t it. Almost like showing people results from tests is a new discovery 👍😂😂
Scott looks very weak.
Check this guys impact position. The shaft lean is insane!!!
Golf Nut i know and look at the distance he’s creating! 195 with a 6i. His swing is impressive with the way he uses his body to release the club through impact.
