Humans are merely mortals that will eventually be consumed by time and are likely to die to each other, but his cure makes us immune to age and makes our brains so ignorant we wont know how to use guns or weapons, or even attack each other. We wont even need to eat or sleep, which is why being cured by 049 sucks. It makes our lives meaningless.

ANIMA 51 Plague Doctors were a real thing during the Black Plague, the SCP story of this plague doctor however, is fake. The Plague Doctors back then only had terrible medicine or bad treatments, they didn't kill you with one touch and bring you back as a zombie.

@Dylan Lockhead But the first months after its "capture" a doctor, whom's name I sadly do not remember, kinda worked with it together, to figure out what the pestilence is supposed to be and how to cure it. Scp 049 said it could not feel the pestilence in the doctors, but after a few months it killed the doctor and tried his "cure" on him. Later it was in disstress and looked remorsefull, because it apperantly liked the doctor and was shocked, since the pestilence hid so well. You cannot tell me, that he did not comprehend, that the doctor and the Site- Staff were humans.

All my fault though because I was the one that brought it out of them. I was very heavily on drugs and I was at breaking point a point of no return if I continued to do drugs. So it was as if my demon inside me was telling their demon to give me a scare by turning themselves inside out. I now know more about the world and the hidden worlds with in. According to what he answered on one of the first questions, his "plague" isn't humans, its human mortality, or, death, and his cure is a form of death and reanimation to make humans immortal. Death has always been from the beginning, yes, although I do find sense into your theory as he say hes been with the plague beside it since the beginning, attempting to cure it. He wears black robes, but this does not mean much, as plague doctors from medieval times wore similar robes.
*Edit*: It appears to be you might be right in some parts. I have kept looking into the video and realized he is immortal, and knowing. In the question about his language and knowledge of these, he answers, and I quote *"I communicate how your human brain assumes I will sound. Beyond that, my native tongue is beyond your comprehension."* This could mean he comes from the realm of God, knowing a language we humans did not even know existed. A language only the holy and unholy know, one that us mortals will never know until the time of the afterlife.
*Edit 2*: He also confirms he is of supernatural origin as he does not require basic human or organic needs, like food or rest. And although it could mean he acquires energy through some other form I am more leaning to believe he is supernatural. He hints at this even more saying, and I quote *"My existence is merely what I allow you to perceive."* This could mean that he might be a type of corrupt angel or holy figure, such as Satan or one of his devils, not allowing the human eye, and brain, a full view of its characteristics and features.
My point of view is completely different, and that is what makes SCP-049 so interesting to me. The only point I think the same way of is that their plague is not humanity but mortality, or in other words, death. They said they've existed since the beginning, and the cure they provide is something that ensures natural death never to come so, in a way, I think they're Life or a life bringer of some sorts (being the latter more understandable and logical tho). I know applying the cure to someone makes them die, but that's temporal and the life it creates afterwards is (kind of) eternal, since the only way zombies die is by taking action against them.
A reason that lead me to believe this is that everytime they ask if a certain disease is "his plague" they answer: "it's a symptom of a much larger pestilence" or something along those lines. Sickness is something that can lead to death, is a symptom of mortality, so by giving an eternal life (not inmortality since that would mean "unkillable" and 049 produces killable zombies) they can cure "the plague".
Another thing that pointed me that way is when they talk about humans fearing their cure and "the sitng of a needle's breach". What they mean about that is the fact humans shun death and are fearful of becoming zombies since that would require to die. SCP-049 want to bring eternal life and end the plague that mortality is.

I absolutely love these videos, they show that some of the SCP's contained within the SCP Foundation aren't really all that bad, and some can be just as emotional as we humans are. It gives us more understanding of the SCP's and how they have goals and agendas similar to that of humans as well. I also like how some SCP's have "attractions" to others, such as SCP-049 is attracted to SCP-035, and SCP-682 is friendly with SCP-079 etc. and it shows that they are intelligent enough to form emotional attachments like humans.
I believe in 035's sedition he revealed that he interacted and actually travelled with with 049 during the 1300s during the reign of the black plague, 035 said they enjoyed each others presence and that at one point that 049 actually used to not wear the plague doctor mask as he had found the plague doctor mask in italy, interestingly, before 035 and 049 went there seperate ways, 049 had actually put on 035 after failing to save a teenage girl from the plague, and from how 035 discussed it, 049 and 035 worked in tandem and shared control of 049's body instead of 035 holding full host control.

Actually most of these are stupid questions... I'd want to ask what other forms he took, or for stories about notable patients, or what he thought of notable epidemiologists of the past. Ask him what a world free from the pestilence would be like, how many subjects he's worked on, or what medicines he carries.
