A few weeks ago i just started to get back into dead rising now their making a dead rising 1 remaster, kinda crazy ngl
You have been missing out ever since 2006
I had a friend who had this. He'd get to the first save opportunity, then whenever he booted the game up, he'd start from that save point. From there, he ran around killing zombies.
That's it. No story missions, no survivors, no psychopaths, no achievement hunting, no saving the game, no leveling up, none of that.
I even told him about all that extra stuff, and he wasn't interested at all. He just wanted to run around killing zombies.

That's how I always played lol. These games were frustratingly hard between the timer and the cheesy ass psycho fights, the game is 10x more fun to just kill zombies in
I used to do this all the time as a kid cuz the game was so hard (ai was just so garbage lol), so I would just do a travel around and sometimes do missions if I accidentally ran into them lol
i did that after i 100% completed dr2 on pc. i got a mod that freezes the timer and had some fun. unfortunately, it wasn't for long as the 100% took it out of me and i was tired of the game lol

I love how he figured out the hockey stick trick with fighting Carlito. I wonder how many other players use the hockey stick to beat him.

My first ever time I used the katana it worked OK ish now I just use a sniper from North plaza it works so well

5:55 stuff like this is what made me love Deadrising and games of it’s era. Just chugging an entire gallon of coffee creamer or swallowing a whole pie in one bite for health 😂 this game was so charming
I remember the effort it took to get the zombie genocider achievement. It was totally Worth it in the end. I got the mega man blaster
@@unseen2021 I just did that achievement on the one version the other day and ended up dying and accidentally saving over my save so I got the achievement but no mega buster so I ended up being so pissed I deleted the game and now just waiting for the remaster lol

@@modernyin6275 You can get a trainer and use an add zombie kills cheat. You've already done the work so no reason to feel bad about cheating.
It is easily one of the most replay able games ever. Very well done, not too serious, but with a relatively compelling story. And the arcade style gameplay is very refreshing.
For the remake/remaster got a pro tip in case you weren’t aware: if you find 3 books for the mini chainsaw from Adam you can vastly increase durability to about 2100 uses. I forget the name of the 3 books you need
There are 2 books you can pick up at Paradise plaza and 1 at Wonderland plaza. You should only pick it up once you have 6 or more inventory slots.

Just restarted the game on our Xbox One. The many stress factors in this game always make a good time. I enjoy escorting the dumb survivors.
You and me kinda have the same story. Young age, thought the idea was super cool, but when I actually got the game I thought "this is... scary". I didn't find the subtle dark humor comforting at all and I was messing up my run so much that I ended up returning it. DR1 had very unique gameplay and an odd sense of realism that I wasn't prepared for at the time. 😂 The ominous dread of the main menu, the mall blacking out, the serious tone setter of the helicopter sequence, the intense uncanny graphics, everything overwhelmed me. I was expecting a braindead "Chop till ya drop" arcade experience but got something that completely subverted my expectations. Couldn't have asked for a better first impression tbh.
There’s a battle axe in the antique store on the 2nd floor of the entrance plaza! Just a tidbit for later!
I love seeing this game get more coverage, especially by bigger channels, this game deserves some love especially with the remake coming out soon

The dumber the costume the better the cutscene it's like playing 2 fighting the twins while in a mascot suit or a dress it's hilarious

This game was an absolute classic. Being a teenager when this game came out was such a trip, I remember people saying it was scary and I would always laugh because I thought it was campy and fun. First game I got all the achievements in and I felt so satisfied walking away from this game... Such a gem and really glad they're remaking it. Hope the remake sells like 10 million copies.

Yeah to be honest, the game actually holds up pretty well to time in both graphics and story. If you don't look at the cars. I swear, they have the lowest polygon count IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE.

It’s funny how I came across your video now after getting the Platinum trophy for this game after completing the horrible 7 day Survivor trophy.

@@Mohawk_Productions so you basically playing the game for 14 hours straight with no game save and you can’t even check the watch the only way you will know the time is by looking at clocks inside shops or the area you spawn and to find food you will need to kill Psychopaths and Survivors.

@@Mohawk_Productions to be honest even though I didn’t like that trophy I was more entertained trying to get the platinum trophy than playing Dead Rising 4 which is a really terrible game. I hope capcom doesn’t add this trophy in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

My favorite part about dead rising is the sandbox part of it just running around killing zombies and making up shit in your head. Not really many opportunities to be creative in other games out there where you just wanna just explore and pretty much make something out of nothing. Do whatever the hell you want.
