@Madcomplex Free roam would have killed the game even more in my opinion. I would rather play a more linear story-based game than a game where you just meander about with no real direction or goal. Those type of games bore me to death and I will always just end up putting them down because it ultimately feels pointless. Not every game needs to be open world or have free roam. I'll say this. This game was definitely a buggy mess, but this still brought forth a lot of fun memories. The Co-Op was easily the best and fun thing about this game. And obviously while the story was lackluster at best, I liked the idea of playing through iconic areas as Umbrella's lackeys and trying to fix the mistakes made that caused their downfall. Plus, the CG cutscenes are still absolutely amazing for the time this game had released. (Though this fame did have easily the worst Nemesis voice and its a shame since he had such an awesome reveal in this game.) And the multi-player was such a blast to play too. Heroes V.S Villains was easily the most fun mode of this game and the chaos of multi-player was what made the game just fun to experience. Unfortunately, trying to play the game solo can be a hassle due to the A.I being....well, not good. 😅 But, even then, the game was still fun to play. (It gets bonus points for including Crimson Heads as well! We SERIOUSLY need these guys back for a future Resident Evil game cause they're what made Zombies so crazy.)
I think we can all agree that this game was no masterpiece (at least when comparing it to something besides Umbrella CORPS). But one thing this game is that's a commodity these days is fun as hell!
I love this game so much, I loved it back in the day and I still play it on my Xbox now. Awesome coop game and fun multiplayer, don’t even care if the campaign was lacking story wise or was too short.
Fun fact: Craziest part of this game, is because this is a Capcom wacky game I think, it has secret context moves. If you grapple a enemy and hit the ability button, you can strap a mine, inject, kill and disguise, and probably other things to a grappled enemy, literally hurling them away. Also you could either shoot in the head or just wound them for angry zombie action.
back in the day where operation racoon city was still alive My honest Experience was blasting with : Fear, Anger, Happy It was the best Cod Multiplayer mixed with some zombies like they literally jumpscare you while lickers and nemesis or Mr.X pursue you while you kill the ennemies I had a blast playing the online mode it was AMAZING truly sad it died and Capcom didnt think of bringing it back would be a huge advencement in their success
This game was a riot with friends. Especially because you could get absolutely pulped into smithereens yet all it takes is a pat on the back from your friend and you're back to normal. Oh what's that? You turned into a zombie and your friend just gutted you and smashed your head into pulp on the floor? No problem, they'll just pick you back up and you'll be fine.
This game was not that bad. I loved it on PS3. I feel like more zombies and an open Raccoon City would be amazing. The biggest issue with this game is that it didn't use Variety. Also, I remember spending more time fighting other humans than zombies. Capcom needs to revisit this game and completely remake it.
I had an eye on this game for quite a while, since it was the only Resident Evil game besides Umbrella Corps (because screw that game) that I don't own on Steam. Unfortunately, the option to buy it was locked due to Capcom apparently needing to sort out a problem with Games for Windows LIVE, which they removed outright from RE5 not too long ago so you could actually play it properly. Out of curiosity I sent a mail to Capcom asking if there was any updates on making Operation Racoon City available again. They said they were still working on it, but would give an update if they have one to share. The game was taken off Steam entirely about a week later. Shit, so much for that.
I remember playing this as a kid and had a lot of fun with it. Played 4eyes till I maxed and unlocked everything for her and she gave me my thing for asian women and minions
Ngl, I played hundreds of hours of RE: Operation Raccoon City. Absolutely loved this game. Played the lady who could turn B.O.W's into allies for a bit, forgot her name.
Hey it’s been years since I checked your channel I used to watch your fallout 76 videos so glad your channel blew up to 1.1 mil and your able to reach out to new games your great
I seriously enjoyed this game when it released on 360. Sure it was buggy, but the "what-if" story was something fresh we hadn't seen in a game before. It's sad that the team making the game only had a year to bring this out. I think with more time they could have had more missions or even a deeper multiplayer.
ORC was a nightmare to play. If they fixed up the gameplay a bit, a remake of this would be greatly appreciated. Imagine a multi-team free for all between different factions.
I read the title and Thought, No you did not you went back and discovered a Gem. This is actually the one game I Pray Capcom make a Remake of cause its so damn fun. still Play it was about to buy it again On steam till i had seen it was delisted for recent-ish Technical issues. The PVP cheaters on console were an issue though
I love LOVED the cinematic trailer for this game. I've watched it countless times back then and even if I've only been able to play it with less than 20FPS, it felt really good to be this special agent going around shooting zombies
This was actually my first Resident Evil Game lmao. I remember loving it to death as a kid. I thought the operators were so cool and like how you could be turned into a zombie thing and I liked being a cool team of agents doing shit. Let's see if it holds up and Kevduit likes it at all lol
I loved this game and played it a ton with friends. Samurai Edge is the best weapon in the game. The doctor character had this cool ability where she could turn any humanoid enemy into a crimson head, or temporarily turn an enemy to attack others for you. Despite the glitches, I still think this game is great.
I actually like operation raccoon city. I can’t tell you how many times I played it. Hell favorite team combination to use was vector, Bertha, four eyes, and spectre.
Yeah the PvP was horribly unbalanced but there was a number of cool things about the game. The multiplayer matches like the Nemesis match and Survivor match were really cool and unique. The bleed and infection mechanics were unique and worked pretty well. I wanted those to return for Umbrella Corps but they didn't which was a shame. ORC had a ton to offer a new RE shooter but I guess the game really got memory holed by people. At this point I'd love to see a new version of ORC with free roam and various missions based on time. Think Dead Rising mixed with ORC and the Outbreak games. Facing Nyx or Thanatos as the USS or Spec Ops would be so cool.
This is one of those games that made my childhood a tinge of enjoyable. I liked vector the most initially because he wore a hoodie like I did in my late middle school to high school days, and I liked that he could cloak and hide (something I wish I could have done at the time). Once I got in a better headspace, I took to Lupo because of her motherly and stern attitude, being a leader and all.
this game was so cool in concept. the alternate timeline, HUNK, classes to choose from, an online multiplayer. but it does play like a bad gears clone. still one of my favorite 360 past times.
So the studio that made this, Slant Six Games, also worked on the SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs franchise. And man, this game really does feel like it's from a company that primarily worked on Navy Seals type games. In case you're wondering, Slant Six Games closed a little over a year after this game released.
This game was my favorite back on 360 days. I cant tell you how many times i beat the story AND I got to max level in multiplayer. The cowboy shotgun with the super soldier ability was BROKEN

(Though this fame did have easily the worst Nemesis voice and its a shame since he had such an awesome reveal in this game.)
And the multi-player was such a blast to play too. Heroes V.S Villains was easily the most fun mode of this game and the chaos of multi-player was what made the game just fun to experience.
Unfortunately, trying to play the game solo can be a hassle due to the A.I being....well, not good. 😅
But, even then, the game was still fun to play. (It gets bonus points for including Crimson Heads as well! We SERIOUSLY need these guys back for a future Resident Evil game cause they're what made Zombies so crazy.)
I think REmake 4 kinda has crimson heads?
God I miss this game, IDGAF what anyone else says about this game it’s hands down one of my favorite RE games, I wish I could buy it again on PC.
And i wish they ported it to ps4, old shit like code veronica was ported so why not operation raccoon city?
Cbb
I was able to get the games for windows live issue fixed and play it on pc. Unfortunately you can't buy it on steam if you didn't already have it
I still have a cd of it but my pc has no cdrom 😢
I think we can all agree that this game was no masterpiece (at least when comparing it to something besides Umbrella CORPS). But one thing this game is that's a commodity these days is fun as hell!
I love this game so much, I loved it back in the day and I still play it on my Xbox now. Awesome coop game and fun multiplayer, don’t even care if the campaign was lacking story wise or was too short.
I would love a remake of this game... this game is dope for the time it was released. Special place in my heart.
Fun fact: Craziest part of this game, is because this is a Capcom wacky game I think, it has secret context moves.
If you grapple a enemy and hit the ability button, you can strap a mine, inject, kill and disguise, and probably other things to a grappled enemy, literally hurling them away. Also you could either shoot in the head or just wound them for angry zombie action.
back in the day where operation racoon city was still alive My honest Experience was blasting with : Fear, Anger, Happy
It was the best Cod Multiplayer mixed with some zombies like they literally jumpscare you while lickers and nemesis or Mr.X pursue you while you kill the ennemies I had a blast playing the online mode it was AMAZING truly sad it died and Capcom didnt think of bringing it back would be a huge advencement in their success
It plays more like gears of war than cod.
Hella slept on game, great coop and a fun time.
Literally just bought this a couple days ago. Friend streamed it and said he hated it but once I saw the gameplay I was hooked.
This game was amazing and I honestly still play it to this day, people were too harsh on it
This game was a riot with friends.
I loved the multiplayer on this game. It was a beautiful time.
I had a bad experiences with the one npc named Bertha
Gonna be honest I fucking loved this game when I was like 16, Beltway was fucking goated
This looks like a fun AF 4 player co-op experience
It definitely had its moments. But the replay value was pretty low with all the bullet sponge enemies.
Loved this game if you hold down the theater bumper you take you you pistol in a tactical stance that locks on with the pistol red laser
It was perfect down to the last minute detail for a game during its release
Rose tinted glasses? It was buggy as hell and the online was a mess when it released.
Ngl, I played hundreds of hours of RE: Operation Raccoon City.
Absolutely loved this game. Played the lady who could turn B.O.W's into allies for a bit, forgot her name.
four eyes
Would love to see you playing trough the F.e.a.r franchise sometime primarily F.e.a.r 1 and the Expansion Extraction Point. (:
Ooohhhhh yes this please
100% yes
Hey it’s been years since I checked your channel I used to watch your fallout 76 videos so glad your channel blew up to 1.1 mil and your able to reach out to new games your great
I seriously enjoyed this game when it released on 360. Sure it was buggy, but the "what-if" story was something fresh we hadn't seen in a game before. It's sad that the team making the game only had a year to bring this out. I think with more time they could have had more missions or even a deeper multiplayer.
popular hottake: it was so stupid, it was fun
This game was fun, it was better than what everyone made it out to be
ORC was a nightmare to play.
This was a fun game, not the greatest but was fun
absolutely love this game, the dialog is right up there with 4 and 5 for repeatability.
This was actually my first Resident Evil Game lmao. I remember loving it to death as a kid. I thought the operators were so cool and like how you could be turned into a zombie thing and I liked being a cool team of agents doing shit.
Let's see if it holds up and Kevduit likes it at all lol
Sounds like he had fun, he only said he hates the game when he got the wave of Hunters
I loved this game and played it a ton with friends. Samurai Edge is the best weapon in the game. The doctor character had this cool ability where she could turn any humanoid enemy into a crimson head, or temporarily turn an enemy to attack others for you. Despite the glitches, I still think this game is great.
This was one of the only resident evil games that gave me true fear (other than 7)
I actually like operation raccoon city. I can’t tell you how many times I played it. Hell favorite team combination to use was vector, Bertha, four eyes, and spectre.
This game is awesome. Played the crap out of it back in the day on PS3 and recently repurchased it when it was on sale on Xbox. It's still awesome
The strike touch at 15:40 was golden 😂🤣😭🤣
This game rocks. Rough around the edges but night and day compared to this type of game capcom has tried to pump out lately.
Playing hero’s mode as Claire or Ada with super soldier was peak the fight to get your favorite hero first was always a visceral feeling lol
I swear they need to operation raccoon city remake..
because tbh we all know it obviously deserves it 100%
23:36 "[the hunters] they weren't as bad back in the day, but now they're bad... in the day" lmfao
I never played this unfortunately but when I was a kid I remember seeing the trailer on tv and thought it was so badass
i kinda liked this game ngl
this game was so cool in concept. the alternate timeline, HUNK, classes to choose from, an online multiplayer. but it does play like a bad gears clone. still one of my favorite 360 past times.
So the studio that made this, Slant Six Games, also worked on the SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs franchise. And man, this game really does feel like it's from a company that primarily worked on Navy Seals type games. In case you're wondering, Slant Six Games closed a little over a year after this game released.
Nemesis was treated better here than he did in RE3 remake
22:36 Bertha just wanted to show you how much she doesn't care about you 💀💀
I remember playing this game in highschool with my friend and having the best time ever
"Why do you Put the PLANT on the CUMPUTER where I cant reach??" This whole fight had me cackling
This game was my favorite back on 360 days. I cant tell you how many times i beat the story AND I got to max level in multiplayer. The cowboy shotgun with the super soldier ability was BROKEN
20:08 “Oh look it’s Leon...and not anymore, bye Leon”
