The Glasers are the ultimate in every way. A favorite of mine for over 50 yrs. No one can compare in harmony and talent. I have lots of their albums and still play and love them.
I love everything these fellas sang - talent out the wazoo! Too bad they never reached the pinnacle they deserved. I guess in Nashville if you don't fit the mold, they ignore you.
Margie Tripp i remember several years ago Vince Gill started speaking out about the situation there regarding type of music being recognized & rewarding while the true good music& artists were shunned, ignored!!
HAPPY THAT YOU COMMENTED ON MY POST OF THE SYDNEY POEM. I HAVE BETTER SUCCESS REPLYING TO YOUR ORIGINAL COMMENTS. WHEN I REPLY DIRECTLY TO YOUR REPLY TO ME, IT USUALLY GETS ERASED! BARBARA HARRIS SENT ME HERE. WHAT A LOVELY SONG. NO MENTION WAS MADE OF THE SONGWRITER. ONE LYRICS SITE CLAIMED IT WAS DALE CHANDLER, BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY DATA ON HIM. SOMEONE ONCE WROTE THAT "COUNTRY MUSIC IS SHAKESPEARE IN RUSTIC FARMER'S CLOTHES." TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC HAS ITS ROOTS IN THE HERITAGE OF THE POETRY OF THE FINEST POETS OF THE BRITISH ISLES. HERE'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE POEMS BY A CONTEMPORARY OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE, SIR PHILIP SYDNEY (1554-1586), A SONNET TITLED: "THOU BLIND MAN'S MARK" THOU BLIND MAN'S MARK, THOU FOOLS SELF-CHOSEN SNARE. FOND FANCY'S SCUM AND DREGS OF SCATTERED THOUGHT. BAND OF ALL EVILS, CRADLE OF CAUSELESS CARE. THOU WEB OF WILL WHOSE END IS NEVER WROUGHT. DESIRE, DESIRE! I HAVE TOO DEARLY BOUGHT WITH PRICE OF MANGLED MIND THY WORTHLESS WARES. TOO LONG, TOO LONG, ASLEEP THOU HAST ME BROUGHT, WHO SHOULD'ST MY MIND TO HIGHER THINGS PREPARED. BUT YET IN VAIN THOU HAST MY RUIN SOUGHT. IN VAIN THOU MADEST ME TO VAIN THINGS ASPIRE. IN VAIN THOU KINDLEST ALL THY SMOKEY FIRE. FOR VIRTUE HATH THIS BETTER LESSON TAUGHT: WITHIN MYSELF TO SEEK MY ONLY HIRE. DESIRING NOUGHT BUT HOW TO TAME DESIRE! (Redacted by Milton T. Moore, Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada, August 25, 2023. This sonnet was not published until 1598, twelve years after Sydney's demise. None of his works were published when he was alive. He died at age 31 from gangene resulting from a combat wound.)🌠
I really liked this poem though have to admit read a few times to get the gist which I'm sure I did I likened it a little to the poem that stated ''Be thou not cynical about love'' also that blind Cupid fires his arrows mercilessly and we often are not wearing our armour. ''Forewarned is forearmed' 'that does not apply to the euphoria of love. I had to click sort by and newest for your comment to show . Glad you liked ''Pretty Eyes ''
I remembered and found an old favourite of mine I think one of the very best duets ever written ''My Own Special Way'' written by Mike Evans a very good singer who uploads on RUclips. This song he sings with his sister Donna Evans who to my mind has the most beautiful voice hard to think of one better. On the Ekims nave channel 7 years ago. I commented 4 years ago only a few comments deserves more.
Every time I want to see this comment and to see my reply and to ask you to listen to a very special song and to add another comment I have to click on 'sort by' and then newest first, it looks like your comments have disappeared but they haven't.. I have listened several times again to ''My Own Special Way'' on the EKIMnave channel and added another comment to the one I made 4 years ago, also put it at the top of my playlist. Try and have a listen I know you will be as spellbound as me for the lyrics and the vocals especially Donna Evans, beautiful very beautiful voice.

Totally agree,
I could listen to this music all day long and night, we have lost true country music now. Only a few of the good ones left to enjoy. ❤
I would like to get the words to PRETTY EYES by Tompaul & The Glaser Brothers. Can you please help me?
Will there ever be such talent as this again? Pure magic.
2024 and I am still listening to the greatest group, the Glaser brothers!
They came, stayed a while, and left. Great harmony.
I miss them.
Enjoyed from Leyte, Philippines
My all time favorite group...family harmony can't be better than Tompall, Chuck and Jim!

BRILLIANT SONG LOVE IT GREAT HARMONY
Lovely song by Tompall, Jim, and Chuck Glaser
Their pure harmonies were so beautiful. My late aunt once likened them to an angel choir and I can't disagree.
Love the glasses.
My favourite from Tompall and the Glaser Brothers, they really have no equal as many of the comments feel the same.
