Tompall and the Glaser Brothers Medley

- The idea for this medley came back in the early 60's when the brothers were working a small club in Toronto. The people in the club were more interested in drinking than listening to music, and they were getting absolutely no response when they played their own songs. So Tompall decided to start playing every song he knew one after another with no break in between -- as they wouldn't know the difference. When they would come to a high part in the song that Jim knew Tompall couldn't hit, he would step in and sing it. They finished the songs that way, constantly trading off the microphone with Chuck coming in on the harmonies, and the crowd loved it. After that night, they worked up this medley and it has always been a crowd favorite.
You gentlemen were amazing. Sadly missed in today’s music world.
Rest in Peace, Tompall, Jim, and Chuck.
Their harmony was the best and their talent was indisputable. How in the name of God can the Country Music Hall of Fame ignore them? They've got everyone else beat to blazes!!!
Beautiful
The Glaser brothers are an American treasure... They were in a league of their own....
Classic performance by the much missed Glaser Brothers doing their trademark switching from Tompall in the lower range to Jim for the high notes, back and forth with perfect timing. No other singers did their mid line switches. Glad Chuck recovered from his cerebral aneurysm to get back on stage. Blows away the goat vomit mislabeled country music that Nashville is inflicting on us nowadays.
Love these guys and the way they work one mic is an art in it’s self, they never miss a beat!!! Where the hell did country music go ???
Became infiltrated with those who wouldnt recognize a country act from a ham sandwich , country music today is very very difficult to find !
Most underrated group ever. Their pure voices and harmony are some of the best I've ever heard in all my years.
How can you beat this kind of harmony? These fellers were perfectly tuned into each other.
"Their interchanging words is something I've never heard before. It takes real talent to do that so perfectly.
3 great voices , sadly all gone RIP
Unrivalled their harmonies are unreal
I remember this so well I really love this music!
Show me any other trio that could do harmony like these fellas. God, what talent and what voices!!!
The only one I can think of is Crosby stills and Nash. As a musician I'm a brutal critic but I love these disciples.
@@ashleycrashdissinger8021 Actually.....the Gatlin Brothers.....
Just saw where Jim Glaser passed away from a heart attack on April 6, 2019. RIP Jim. You and your brothers were such a talent and I always loved listening to your music.

The True Brothers😊 😊 😊
I meant Chuck Glazer, when my Dad was pursuing, yodeling, singing, songs he wrote, plus commercials, like the 1956 Dodge Texan, on you tube. MR. Chuck Glazer. Had near death experience, he was glad to just eat spaghetti, with me and parents, dad was Bob Quinn.
I was told about the Glaser Brothers last April 2021, i cant believe i hadnt heard of them before, They are absolutley fantastic. Harmony at its best.
I feel like a teenager, in love on. Summer night when I hear their beautiful voices. I never get tired of hearing them.
THEY SOUND SO CLOSE , SINGING , YOU WOULD THINK IT'S ONE PERSON...THEN HARMONY,,,IMMACULATE...!!!...
100% perfection. Harmony just doesn't get any better . Jim's voice is like the best crystal glass.
I THINK HE WAS THE CAUSE OF THEM BREAKING UP
Tompall & the Glasers will always be number one in my book.
Wow, they still melt my heart every time I listen to them. No one even comes close to their music!

So glad that we have such legendary artists on video to watch .That's the only way today to see great music performed is video of years past performances because you'll never see a performance such as that in today's music.
They are the best group that there is or will every be on the planet HARMONY at its best

This is so bloody good singing......... All three of them. I was lucky to meet and speak to Jim in person. Years back, as he visits The Netherlands.

BRILLANT LOVE IT
No auto tune needed in those days. True masters.
Great Harmony. Thank you.
This is the best version of this medley on RUclips from the most awarded C&W group of the 70's.
I believe it was recorded at the International Festival of Country Music at Wembley, England in 1984 but I'll check and come back and edit if I'm wrong.
These guys are the best.
Still unrivalled the most wonderful harmonies, never stop listening their wonderful voices, heaven is embraced with their wonderful harmonies 🙏🙏🙏

Not only was Jim a fantastic singer, he sure could make that guitar talk ‼️😉
thanks so much for the great videos. we have enjoyed the glaser brothers for many years. they are still the best.
And I will play It every day!
These are so good and in harmony.
Thanks Weeze for finding and posting these wonderful videos. Loving it here in Louisiana.
I love their eyes and smiles when they do their 'bantering' back and forth. Thank you
Weeze1124. I just love them!
+Dorothy Douglas I think it's more of a War of the Glasers, but they are still wonderful!.. :-)
+Daisy Flowers. That's probably right, Daisy, from what I hear, but there's no doubt in some of their smiles and looks that at the time of this filming they were still having fun together. On the video of their 'last performance' their feelings for each other was not so good, sad! I haven't known of them until 4 or 5 months ago and I'm makiing up for lost time. I love them and their voices!
Love Tompall, Jim and Chuck best harmony..
Still Tripping on these Glaser Bros ! Magnificent!
Plain and simple the best video on RUclips.
I’m proud to say Jim and I were pen pals for about 5 years. Sadly we stopped corresponding around 2011. I miss him!

Whoever said nothing good comes out of Nebraska, never heard these Guys!!!
I love Nebraska. Even though I've never been there and I might be able to. And I agree with you.
Damn. These guys really WERE that good! 😲 Another great country brother group who were should have been inducted in the C.M.H.O.F. long ago.
Nine people don't like this? What's wrong with them? Must be tone deaf. They were the best ever; wish they were still around.
💞🎼🎶 Tompall and Brothers Greatest Ever

Im 62 years and i never, ever heard those guys before. Exept Tompall was present on the WJ album. I’m ashamed over myself 😓
