- Scene from Seagal classic Under Siege (1992). Tommy Lee Jones makes an excellent role as a baddie called William Stranix.
This video is just a fan sharing a great scene, nothing more. Развлечения
I love how Strannix taps the mic to wake up Tom about chaos lol. Tommy’s acting in here is one of the best in this movie. 👍
I love how much Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Busey and Colm Meaney look like they are enjoying themselves in this scene both as character and as actors.
MikeMJPMUNCH I remember a interview with colm meaney saying they had so much fun. It shows on screen.
MikeMJPMUNCH
Assuming this was in widescreen it looks like they were all enjoying it. His comments were cracking the other two up.
Psychotic or not, Tommy had some funny lines in this film.
Gary Busey and Colm Meaney are both cracking up the whole time
@@skwisgarskwigelf7191 I prefer Tom O'Flannagan over Sam Gerald & Mr. Joshua!
MikeMJPMUNCH 1:53
Tommy Lee Jones acted the shit out of this role.
That’s a fact
He was just playing another part of himself. All the greats don’t act, they just absorb the character and unlock a part of themselves
Hi Admiral! :)
I would Stutter those lines before getting them out right like Tommy Lee Jones did,
Even if I tried with Confidence lol
He Damned Sure & deserved another Oscar for Best Supporting Actor!! 💘
I love the casual way Strannix says “hi!” to both of them
Do you guys realize that Tommy Lee Jones was making Gary Busey look sane in this scene. Now THAT's acting.
Epic scene.
Gary Busey was in a motorbike accident that damn nearly killed him, cut him some slack bro.
no kidding
3Rayfire Busey was sane back then..
Busey's cracking up the whole time. Can barely hold it together.
Well to be fair, Gary Busey hadn’t yet gone off the deep end when this movie was made
Tom: This is insane.
Bill: Ooooh be careful with that word pleeease. XD
I like how Jones played him as pretending to be crazy in this scene and then you find out later he really is crazy.
He's flipped. Hes completely flipped
I feel like Alex Jones has based his entire persona on Tommy Lee Jones' character in this movie.....especially the bit from 1:54 when he talks about the UV light waves and the inch of topsoil.
Well he wasn't bluffin like Brig General Francis X. Hummel like in the movie "The Rock"
He got tired of coming up with last minute desperate solutions to impossible problems created by other fucking people...
@@robwalsh9843 I don’t think I would have Faith either

The back story to Strannix (Tommy Lee Jones' character) is very similar to that of Mitch Leary (the character John Malkovich played in 1993's In The Line of Fire). A high-level government operative who goes rogue (and slightly insane) after his own government tries to disavow and murder him.
Goes too show you that being patriotic and all that Bs doesnt matter when your expendable.
@@_realone915 The more you know, the more they try and get rid of you.
Thank God I found this comment, I was thinking the same thing.
The difference is that Mitch took interest in involving Clint in his vengeance while Strannix initially thought Ryback an obstacles in his mission
@@darkjedi7 Agreed. Clint's character (Frank Horrigan) was a pawn that was part of the game, whereas Ryback was the unexpected (and overlooked) dark horse.
@@plissken2156 smfh cool username btw..
TLJ gave this movie so much legitimacy. He gave it the credibility it needed, with out him it’s another hard to kill or out for justice.
Tommy Lee was perfect here “you tried to kill me you son of a bitch!” His facial expressions during this rant... also like the comment that he makes Busey look sane 😂
As an Annapolis graduate, I love seeing Naval Academy bad guys in movies!
And then just a year later and working again with Andrew Davis in The Fugitive, Tommy Lee Jones does a total 180 from William Strannix by portraying dogged straight shooter Sam Gerard, winning an Oscar in the process. That's talent, folks.
Eddie Bo Smith who played Shadow came on “The Fugitive” as Copeland.
Tom Wood who played Private Nash also comes on “The Fugitive” as Noah Newman
"I don't care"
JESUS CHRIST will come very soon! Repent!
@@rasoto83 Andy Romano aka Admiral Bates plays the judge who sentenced Kimble to death
Here that rybak, those are party poppers 🎉 !!
I felt bad for Strannix actually. He went about his vengeance the wrong way, trying to kill civilians with tomahawks and all. But he was betrayed and hurt due to his being exploited and the attempt on his life. Tommy did a hell of a job with this role. Sick character and badass portrayal.
Strannix new the risk of being a black ops agent . I'm very quietly sure he did more to get the iron of the president to execute him by executive order.
@@attiepollard7847 They said nothing about an executive order. He did clandestine things and knew too much so they burned him and tried to wipe him out that’s it. It’s called “cleaning house or tying up loose ends.
@@lanceirons5877 Tom Breaker : Once we realized we had lost positive control, under Executive Order 136 we tried to neutralize him... we missed. I won't be surprised if the president and the attorney general greenlighted that kill order which they rightfully so.
The only Seagal movie that is really an action comedy because of Jones, Busey and Meaney. So funny and very dangerous at the same time.
And sadly for Steve, it contained all the tropes of his future career, including the mandatory "everyone shits their pants at how awesome Seagal's character is" scene.
One of my top 5 favorite scenes EVER. I love this entire movie but this scene is head and shoulders above everything else
Back in the day watching Siskell and Ebert, they brought up a good point, this movie was so good because you wanted the bad guy to win.
Yes I was mad when he died how bad is that tlj rocked it
Seagal didn't ruin it at least, but it was the villains who stood out in this.
The bad guy lost tho
@@stevekaczynski3793 Out For Justice has an amazing bad guy too. William Forsythe totally upstaged Seagal.
"I got tired of coming up with last minute, desperate solutions to impossible problems created by other fucking PEOPLE."
Under Siege is Seagals best work, and Tommy Lee Jones is irreplaceable; this is possibly my favorite character of his.
I'm so pissed. I love Gary Busey and Tommy Lee Jones. Now i want to watch this movie. Can I put aside my absolute disgust in Seagal?
I think you should. This movie is just the best.
Seagal’s hero carecter compliments the villans in this film and yep one few films that does that
"I ain't cut out for this hero bullshit!"
"You're in the Navy! It's not just a job... it's an adventure!"
Time to call the office 😂
Sick movie! Never get tired of it.
Why sick
@Lahore
Sick=Very pleasing
@@lionelhutz5137 thank you! ;)
These are Fantastic villains and we have a great hero.
Great movie 🎥
Tommy lee jones stole the show in this movie. WELCOME TO THE REVOLUTION
yes, I think anyone on screen has more charisma than Steven Seagal - even the 'extra' mercs getting killed.
This movie is as old as I am, and I loved it as a kid!
I watched it again last night for the first time in probably 15-18 years and I still kinda love it. Funny thing is, if last night would've been my first viewing, I probably would hate it, because there's a lot of the script that dosen't make sense, Busey's acting's too wierd and Seagal doesn't even act, he just frowns and reads his lines.
The action's still great but what really holds up almost 30 years later is Tommy Lee Jones!
His performance in this movie is just astounding!
Truly, he is one of the greats!
Gary Busey and Colm Meany cracking up in the background as Tommy Lee Jones is going on his rant 😂
Adam Zimmerman always wonder was that part of their character or were they really trying not to laugh while Jones was going at it.
I don't think they were acting back there.
@@3Rayfire you can't convince me they didnt break character...the director probably tried it a couple times laughing as well and saying fuck it just roll it!
@@Nurgles_Rot_ Wise director indeed.
TLJ probably improved and they just used the natural reactions like goodfellas “funny how?!”
" Bill, this is Tom--what's going on."
'Hi Tom, you know what's going ON I have 32 Tomahawks under my thumb and all you can do is alert the media' LOL
Could Tommy Lee Jones make insanity any more cool? Lol. I love this guys acting.
well it was cool since he was trying to portray insanity so they would not devise his wishes are actual more basic , greed
whats really cool was that he was really a mad man
so we have a mad man acting as a man of reason disguising himself as a mental crazy person
and yes this was all written under the influence
legalize
They tried to kill him.so he took action against a enemy to the people.serves just right
How is he insane? I think the government he works for is insane. You know the military industrial complex. The NWO people at the top.
Tommy Lee Jones should have won an Oscar for this scene alone, as he was that spot on & hilariously Magnificent😊😊👍👍
"Hi Tom!" "Hi Admiral!"
Hi Rybak! *dies*
Gary Busey and Colm Meaney were visibly cracking up at Jones
nah, that would've been their characters' natural reactions.
Canceled operation cleopatra, shortly thereafter two young men fron Langley showed up in Miami and tried to cancel me along with it. Now did you receive each mans right forefinger in the mail Tom?

@BxxDxx Hoodoo Look Bill if you're looking to relive the 60s you can just forget about it buddy.
Seagal is always upstaged by the awesome villains, (Henry Silva, William Sadler, Screwface, William Forsythe, Michael Caine, etc) so this time they just double down with it. Gary and Tommy Lee made this film every bit as much as Seagal did.
I like to think that Gary Busey and Colm Meaney were legitimately trying their damndest not to crack up at Tommy Lee Jones for fear of ruining the take. 😄
This film was way ahead Of It's time
I love this scene, Jones gives this whole speech like he was gunning for an Oscar and he’s having a blast with it,
The 'Under Siege' movies are probably the only movies where I want the bad guys to win.
or any movie where Nicolas Cage is the hero/protagonist
Tommy Lee Jones can really steal a movie also in the Fugitive.
Same director for this film and that film too.
Not gonna lie. I was hoping for Him to kick segalls ass
J Katt What impresses me about Tommy L J, is he can play any character rather convincingly. Father figures, caring and empathetic
villainous even fed agents. his acting range is very impressive.
His voice and looks are kinda hard to miss too.
P.T. B. Even his Two Face in Batman Forever and psychotic villains in movies like The package and Blown Away and of course Under Siege were memorable then to go to playing tough burned out cops and father figures in The Missing, No Country For Old Men etc definitely has good acting range.
He was so good in THE FUGITIVE that they gave him his own spinoff with US MARSHALS! Which was also good BTW!
This is my favorite dialogue in this movie.
Yes, it is mine, too, Tommy Lee Jones is a master at dialogue delivery, and it shows in this scene
He was inevitable decades before Thanos was.
Bill and Thanos would have hit it off instantly!
This was one funny part of the movie. It is hilarious. Tommy Lee Jones plays a good villain.
There should be more likes on this video it is so hilarious listening to Tommy Lee 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gary Busey and Colm Meaney are trying everything in their power to keep from busting out laughing I appreciate these movies and the actors in them the originals from the old school
Hell of a scene Tommy Lee Jones is the consummate actor of his time he's made under siege a bonafide classic 💯💯💯💪💪💪💪💪🎥🎥🎥🎥🎟🎫

Strannix was an employee of the agency and they tried to kill him first...... Is he REALLY the only wrongdoer here?
I think he was a freelancer and was hired as an expendable asset.
Stranix was a "wetboy" ex-CIA operative
No the other wrongdoer is the guy who came up with the plot. If the US government really was facing this situation which would threaten their lives and those they cared about (not the public), they wouldn't send navy seals, they wouldn't negotiate, they wouldn't take risks, they'd drop a minute man on Stannix's head and screw the crew. Say a tomahawk blew up when it was tampered with as an excuse.
Bomb Twenty Facts!
Strannix was a “kite” operative for the CIA meaning if something goes wrong with the mission they’re cut lose and are considered loose ends.
35 people cancelled Operation Cleopatra and two young men from Langley were pissed.
Tommy Lee Jones is fuckin badass
Wow, this movie is good compared to all the other Seagal stuff. Tommy Lee Jones was *great*.
This film is so underrated. I cannot believe how unhinged TLJ actually manages to make Stranix seem.
I love how Krill and Daumer are cracking up at Strannix's harangue, like the sidekicks who laugh at a bully's taunts.
It’s pretty funny how his characters “cover” was being an anti-military hippie ex-CIA agent, when all he really wanted to do was sell some nukes to foreign adversaries for profit.
As far as I can remember this movie was the very first film I ever saw with Tommy Lee Jones and that was before I saw him in other films:
Men In Black
Men in Black 2
The Fugitive
U.S. Marshalls
J.F.K.
The Client
Double Jeopardy
Blown Away
Captain America;The First Avenger
Volcano
Batman Forever
Small Soldiers
Space Cowboys
Black Moon Rising
Great scene. One of the best bad guys.
"William Strannix"
"Jesus Christ!"
"No sir, I'm afraid not."
As much as any actor ever made a movie, Jones made this film.
He screwed up when he put his gun on Mr. Pitt! That cost him a nomination for this film! To me I think it was Colm Meaney who made this film! I started to know him after his guest star appearance on The Simpsons!
Danny Thomas it didn’t cost him his character was psychotic and would have shot Mr Pitt if didn’t do his job. It happens a lot in movies when main villain points a gun at henchmen.
@@scottknode898 Well I hate when that happens. He would've won Best Villain award if he hadn't done that.
Love this movie.
Strannix and Screwface have to be 2 of the greatest bad guys ever.
El Indio Edwards What about Travis Dane? “Well here you arrrrrr.” “You two have been very naughty.” “I faked my own death, hijacked a train because I care about who you’re fucking.” 😂
marked for death was great...
The best rant of the pre-Internet 90s👌👌👌👌👌👌
WELCOME TO THE REVOLUTION ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
This scene made me more sympathetic with Stranix
Why the hell did Tommy Lee Jones play Two Face, he should've played the joker!
Mitch Brown because Jack Nicholson already played him really well and was also very funny as him
Mitch Brown Jack Nicholson was top choice and Robin Williams accepted the role but when Nicholson wanted it Warner Bros dropped Williams as strong contender for The Joker. Tommy Lee Jones wasn’t even considered for Joker in 1989 and originally Billy Dee Williams who played Harvey Dent in Batman in 1989 wanted to come back but producers decided to go with Jones. They bought out Billy Dee Williams contract. Robin Williams was even considered for The Riddler but he refused as was angry that felt he was used as bait for Nicholson to get the role of Joker and didn’t work with Warner Bros for years.
@@scottknode898 I'd like to point out that according to Billy Dee Williams, he only signed a 1 contract deal for Batman 1989 instead of 2 so he didn't do anything to secure that role which is why producers decided to go with Jones and no one bought Billy Dee out.
He was also Agent K from Men in Black
Brandon Lee would've been an interesting Joker, also.
HI ADMIRAL!!!
Tommy Lee enjoyed that character
Tommy Lee Jones nailed this scene with insanity.
indian bush78 He did
He also got nailed in the head by Seagal 😂😂
Tommy Lee Jones needs to do more villain roles.
"and shortly thereafter two young men from Langley showed up on twitter and tried to cancel me with it. Now you received each man's right forefinger in your DMs, didn't ya Tom?"
Did u expect us to wait and Miami for you to come back and try again?
“I’ve got 32 tomahawks under my thumb and the only thing you can do about it is alert the MEDIA” ..... am I the only one that finds that funny?

Tommy Lee Jones was only in his mid 40's here. Must have had a hard life cuz that's a tough looking mid 40's by the looks of him.
amazing movie & actors never be bored to see it again & again
This video does not get old..
lol the admiral is also in Eraser, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Caan

Kevin Finnerty
After seeing Tom/ Nick Mancuso in these films,
I didn't see him in much
until the Cloud Ten Pictures
Apocalypse thru Judgment
movies and found that he was a Christian along with Gary Busey, which I have no problem with celebrities finding religion. But when they reject their legacy or expect it to be big news, that I have a big problem with! Ego and pride can make that very intolerable as well.
Kirk Cameron is a good example of that, but I'm not sure about Sly
Stallone after his, and yes, I'm aware of Gary Busey's stroke a few back so I don't know if he remembers his conversion.

I HATE the Tom Bracker character in this film franchise, I understand his purpose in the first movie. He was the one ordered Strannix assassination, so Strannix wanted revenge. In the 2nd movie he shows for no reason but to talk shit and he was willing to cheat on his wife. The character is a throw away character.
