- Welcome to another episode of Mailbox Monday! This series of videos feature items that you have sent in to the channel such as letters, drawings, models and all sorts of other wonderful things.
If you would like to send something in to the IC82 channel and see it featured in an IC82 Mailbox video, make sure that 1) you have permission to do so, 2) you package the item well and pay the correct postage and 3) include a return address if you want the item to be returned to you at some point.

thanks for all you do . I am considerably older than you but i do enjoy your vidios and reviews of all the trains .yes i am an Aussie and yes we do have your trains here . there is one travelling from melbourne to sydney called the XPT.country link.
they also run into country areas of New South wales and queensland as well.they are comfortable and fast too.I was brought up with steamtrains when i was a kid thats all we travelled on. i do miss the smoke and soot of these old girls.

Hey Will, This format is great.
I don't have a Layout at this point but I do have 1 single O Scale train and a giant box of old track (The train came from my father, the Track from a flea market after I lost the loop of track that went to his train.
I watch for inspiration for potential future layouts etc.

Concerning the mailbox vids, I would recommend the most efficient format you're happy with
Maybe you'll have to start something like a Mailbox Monday sort of thing, once you've cleared the backlog and then you should be able to keep on top of the mail more :) Great video btw. Love your channel :D

Yep, like the relaxed format...
At 12:42 Will looked like diesel 10 when mr conductor put the sugar up to him.
There is something about this new style that makes it slightly better, can't put my finger on what it is though.

I like the new style but as long as we get to see the famous skirting boards now and then. also I think you could do with a chair ☺
+Mark F Or a bean bag Will. There is no need to be uncomfortable, a bean bag may help to sit on.

Hey Will... I like the new style BUT..... We cannot get a good view of the drawings or the locos or _______ that are sent in. Maybe if the camera was just a little closer. I like the fact it is less formal..... When are we getting an update on your new layout, doesn't have to be extensive, just a quick look on your progress would be fantastic.
New style is really good :)
The face the camera style is great for your chatty manor. However if you are to get through the mail a little preparation might help.
1) Open everything off camera, saves time, can check contents, summaries if appropriate.
2) Need to get close ups of items and pictures.
Hope this helps we want a cool laid back Will not a stress out under pressure one!
I'm thinking you may need to do 2 or 3 mailbox videos per week to catch up, and the new style is great keep up the great work :)

Hi Will. Like the new format but agree you probably need more light and the facility to do close ups. One potential solution is shoot some close up shots in post production and edit them in with original audio over the footage.

You've got a lot of work with all this mail Will hope you keep your head above water. Talking of Hornby, I hope they come through the otherside of their latest management crisis. It maybe pertinent to do reviews of their latest merchandise and encourage people to buy something. Preferably through their local model shop to keep the whole industry afloat. Come on folks go and buy some of their TTSound kit, it's excellent or for you rich boys n girls there is always the Great Gathering Collection.

love this style, its more friendly and relaxed, have you ever heard of the Heatherslaw Light Railway?
We didn’t steal your HST, we took the design made some changes
like improved suspension and heat tolerance then built them over here
in Aus. We call them XPT sort for Express Passenger Train (the express part didn’t
really happen) and not HST because there merely based on them.

great new layout of mailroom. the amount of mail issue could you still do mailroom as is but maybe do a letter at the end of other videos just to help clear the backlog
You might find it easier to do these great new videos without your shoes on… which always terrified me when you were clumping about on the railway downstairs with hulking great trainers perilously close to so many beautiful models and railways! Give it a go, you will certainly find it easier to sit cross-legged. Just remember to take things easy Will, I suffered a nervous breakdown last year due to overwork and now am forcing myself to take things easier than I did do
Hi Will, great video (once again).just a quick recommendations, as it was the GWR 175 celebration, why don't u make a great western gala with all the great western locos including that brilliant 57. Also I would recomend hornby 4003 Lode star.

Will, Prince is on the Ffestiniog Railway with Princess, Welsh Pony and Palmerston. They are not of the correct gauge to run on the Talyllyn line (plus Welsh Pony has not run since the late 1930s and needs a full overhaul). Which is a shame really.
That's weird, I had a Hornby 47 in that exact freight liner livery. Mine had the same symptoms as those mentioned before I sold it on, wonder if it's mine? :p

Hi Will, I like the idea of doing the mail box in the railway room but perhaps standing up? Looks pretty uncomfortable as you are and lots of fidgeting doesn't make great videos. And please don't put so much pressure on your self, it will all get done and it's your relaxed approach that presents so well. Good luck and please keep up the great work! both styles works well but you could possible try opening letters on a table and packages on the floor. But other wise don't strain yourself out making these fantastic videos. From coast guard training influenza can slowly break you down.

You need a lapel microphone. "IC82 to camera" is better than voice over, but you need to be nearer the mic!
I like this style but please please please look comfortable and don't cram yourself into a corner. stretch out and be comfy. :)
