You think Lewis doesn’t get a say? Of course he does. And Max and Fernando are very close and y’all would be crazy to think that Max would be afraid of Fernando; if anything he’d think it would be a fun challenge and he might actually stay awake for the duration of the race. Finally a guy that will keep Max from falling asleep at the wheel. All Max needs is Marko on his side and the younger Matteschitz, and he’s already got that. Besides, it’s insane to think HornDog wouldn’t want a second champion. That’s just more points for Red Bull and HornDog and Fernando have always gotten along.

    who really ever knows how it would turn out if he made a comeback? Maybe a couple seasons away from the sport is what he needed to broaden his scope again, find his hunger for winning & maybe really reflect deeply on what went wrong on his behalf, be that mentally, emotionally or physically. I’d love to see him on track for maybe a season or two once more, he still is „young“ or rather definitely at an age where he should still be fully capable of competing at the highest level.
    I mean… Wouldn’t it be awesome if he really did take a step back, worked on himself a lot, realized where he took the wrong path psychologically & lost his competitive, cutthroat, uniquely aggressive racing persona/nature, got offered a 1 season (+1 option) package that fits him just right with the right team + people in place for let’s say next season & worked tirelessly with e.g. Mercedes in the off-season to reaaaally dial in the car to fit his unique needs that we all have heard of. We know him winning a fifth is a loooong shot & not gonna happen, but battling for top places in a new car that might just be right for him, maybe even picking up a win or two.
    And peculiarly really helping George grow into a true championship contender could be a desirable form of fringe benefit, huh? :D… I mean, just think of where Aston Martin is now, yeah Vettel didn’t build their new HQ, fund new designers or build the new cars - *but* he definitely had his part in helping them gain traction & extremely valuable insights for the seasons after his departure; and I’m not just making that up, many people at AM-F1 have recognized the crucial role he played in turning that garage upside down & propelling them into a top tier team. That could indubitably be a HUUUGE plus for George individually & Merc F1 as a whole, especially with the current path they have embarked upon..
    I know this probably ain’t gonna happen even in my wildest fever dreams, but tbh no matter the age & discrepancy between his exit and most recent performances; at the end of the day we’re still talking about Sebastian Vettel, who just happens to be one of the all time greatest drivers we’ve ever seen. Essentially when it comes to these unbelievably unique type of athletes you should always have room to give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the untapped amount of performance, work ethic & unwavering dedication that they might have left inside of them.
    At the end of the day 98% of us would be lying if;
    1) we didn’t have that little voice in us saying he (& others like him) could still win races *in the right car* and *especially*
    2) we wouldn’t be wagging our tails like a golden retriever if e.g. Mercedes suddenly announced his comeback for next season through a black & white video on Seb‘s new Tinder-Account he made just for the announcement lol.
    I might be wrong in your eyes but Vettel is a „dawg“, we pretty much all love him, F1 isn’t the same without him & that dude really knows how to race; albeit more & more sporadically towards the end I‘ll never forget that last lap insanity in Suzuka in 2022 or his Baku podium in ’21.

You even see it from Lewis' onboard lmao, so go back and watch the race again before commenting BS like this. Also, Max did something far more egregious in Austria and wasn't penalized; actively barging into Leclerc and shoving him off track, Leclerc did the exact same thing to Max in Silverstone as well and neither of them were penalized, so tell me, why should Seb have been penalized when both the incidents I just mentioned are materially worse.

    If we think about it more, Seb could be the most likely option for Mercedes in 2025. In the top 5 teams, nobody would want to risk moving into a struggling Mercedes. Sainz will most likely be gunning for RB, Alonso will either stay at AM or gun for RB as well. From the bottom 5 teams, I don't think anyone could be a better option than a 4xWC even considering how he lost touch in 2020. Even if they are, Albon is contracted to Williams for 2025, Yuki will either stay in the RB camp or move to AM for Honda, and Hulkenberg is still a less likely option compared to the current drivers from top 5 teams

    I'm so sick and tired of professional athletes retiring and then deciding to come back to the sport several years later and never quite living up to the expectations and tarnishing their legacy in the process. Now of course Mr. Vettel is allowed to do whatever he wants to do with his life, and if racing in F1 again makes him a happier person, I say go for it Mr. Vettel. But I can't personally recall a single time where this has happened, in any sport, where it did any favours to the legacy of an athlete of Mr. Vettel's calibre. Quite the opposite, in fact.

    2) he’ll be doing someone else out of a seat ~ bearman/Lawson or some other new F2 driver ,
    his best shot would be as advisor to a team or older/newer driver lineup on a new team for a year
