[Tetris 99] invictus snipe lobby #1: special guests (401 lines cleared)

let's bring back the snipe lobbies with this new serie, the spiritual successor of "EVERYONE IS HERE" videos! invictus lobbies allow for tougher battles, especially in the top 10 with that frightening 20G speed. and the lower number of players makes it really easy to snipe!
quite a few snipers to begin this: 1 - 3 - 8 - 11 - 12 - 13 - 16 - 27 - 53 are confirmed snipers, not sure if anyone else joined as well!
and yeah, we got special guests this time: BeasttrollMC and hebo-mai! though the second was TOTALLY unexpected.
ed (common way to call beasttrollmc) is still struggling, but is improving his tetris skill! who knows how far he will go in a few months! also he has been constantly supporting me and helping me getting more exposure, check out his stuff! super cool man
also absolutely not surprised of losing to a tetris legend such as hebo-mai, who is a wild beast at TGM, where 20G is quite common! i'm only a newbie in this kind of stuff. these monsters are still far ahead of me
also fire emblem theme works really well with invictus as it gives the full epicness you need from such intense battles/background

Keep in mind, this is Invictus. You have to have a....few "Tetris Maximus"/ 1st place badges under your belt to be able to play this mode in general.

@@weirddude928 20G = the piece falls 20 rows every frame. with 'G' meaning the gravity measured in rows per frame.
Usually Tetris games run at 60 frames per second so in this scenario that means the pieces are dropping 20 rows ~every 16ms. 20G is also what some players refer to as "instant gravity." due to it being so fast the pieces pretty much instantly hit the floor.

I’m sure they will continue to add event themes through Maximus cups it gives people a reason to play all weekend. I go in expecting to win the theme and leave but I always end up playing all night even after I unlock it

does t 99 invictus not have a speed limiter this seems faster then your other t 99 games in the early game or am i just blind and at least for me to i feel like iv playied faster either that or i just got better

Yeah, it starts faster than standard T99 and also goes up to a MUCH higher speed in the back half than standard games do (the top level here is what's called 20G speed).
