      Very solid choice, do you think you would mount with the side plates or through the pedal base itself?
      The clutch and throttle blocking the mounting holes was annoying to me but don't know if it would be an issue at all for you.

    Time for Simagic to drop you the hydraulic brake and throttle upgrades as well as inversion kit for review too.

      That would be very interesting! Let's see what happens

    Great review, but I have to say your comment on the clutch surprised me. Every manual car I've driven has had a clutch which feels non linear - light initial due to the take up, stiff as you begin to disengage, and then gradually lightening again as the clutch becomes fully disengaged. I've never experienced a linear clutch.
    Then again all of my driving experience comes from cars manufactured well over 25 years ago - no ABS, no traction or stability control, and mostly no power steering. The only assistance being a vacuum servo for the brakes.

      Hi Slaphead, thanks for commenting. I figured if all the pedal manufacturers are building in this mechanism, there must be some basis in truth for it.
      My biggest experience with a manual vehicle was my 2007 Evo 9, I had 3 clutches in that over 11 years and I raced it at my local circuit (my earliest videos on the channel include it). 2 of the clutches were sprung organic plate, and one was an unsprung twin plate metallic clutch (an Ogura 559 to be exact) and all of them had a progressive clutch feel.
      The only vehicles I've driven with that ptonounced clutch drop off are very unexciting rental type vehicles (VW golf, Suzuki Swift etc) and that's not what I want in my sim. I want my old race car back!
      I'm glad we're able to have this conversation though. I seem to be in the minority about clutch feel but that's why I make these reviews - they are my reviews after all and if my preferences don't match yours (or others) then you know what to listen to and what to dismiss!
      What do you drive these days? I've long since sold the Evo, now I cruise around in a lovely automatic 2015 5 series

      @@DrAlanQuan I don't actually drive these days, actually I haven't for around 18 years. I moved from the UK to Switzerland, and honestly anywhere I want to go to I can get there faster and cheaper with public transport than if I had my own car.

      Solid choice! I haven't seen the inverted version but given the fit and finish of the standard review unit I'm sure it will be built really solidly.

      I've had the Inverted version for the past 5 months and I really like them. I had the Fanatec V3s' for about 5 years and this is a nice improvement.

    great video mate, always top quality. id love to move over to simagic myself but sadly i need console compatibility. were these USB pedals or did you ever try plug them into your dd1? i also see now they have a rgb kit for them which only tempts me more haha.

    • @DrAlanQuan
      @DrAlanQuan  13 дней назад +1

      Hi Bob 👋
      These are USB, there is no RJ12 option to even try plugging them into the DD1. If you're wanting console (PlayStation at least) compatibility you can go to a full Simagic setup and use a Sigma Cortex converter.
      Oh yes, things just got expensive for you hahaha

    Can you make comparison between P1000 & VNM lite pedals? Both are in same budget range, one side Simagic provides modular solution and other side VNM has solid design. Comparison would be interesting.

    Who.. races wearing sneakers? How can you feel the brake?

      Wait till you see the shoes I use here 😂 ruclips.net/video/zYm4D55UZF0/видео.htmlsi=HSHYbV-3CdzJbj2s
      But basically there's no problem, I race just fine :)
      What do you wear when you race?

    • @lllFeanorlll
      @lllFeanorlll 13 дней назад +1

      @@DrAlanQuan just socks usually. Though for longer endurance races where I want a little more padding I have a pair of water shoes because I didn't feel like paying $169 for a pair of Sparcos 😂

      @@lllFeanorlllI used to race in just socks but if you heel and toe, your feet get ruined fast. Do what works for you! I too don't see a need for Sparco shoes, but I do enjoy using FIA-spec OMP gloves. It's a little bit of race spec self love that I can really see and feel every time I'm in the sim :D
