After the next film, I'd like to see Kong and Godzilla each get at least 2 solo films before crossing over again. It will shorten the time between new releases. We'll get a new movie every 1-2 years rather than waiting 3 at a time.

The thing is if we all show Legendary that there is a big interest in the idea with #MonsterVerseGamera then we could actually get it, because there is nothing else really stopping it from happening aside from the lack of a big fan movement like for the Snyder Cut.

I mean I honestly think they wouldn’t mind much but when it comes down to it both Japanese studios may want to have both their legendary monster stars to clash in Godzilla Vs Gamera.
Y’all, just because Wingard said that he wants to hit emotional tones like Godzilla vs Destoroyah with the 2027 Film, doesn’t mean that the antagonist will be Destoroyah.

Yeah I don't think Destoroyah will come to the MV at all because introducing a mutated kaiju like that will make the MV out of place when it is confirmed that the franchise will have kaijus that naturally evolves.
Besides making Destoroyah exactly like that will basically not be inspiration but copying the Heisei era and it'll make the movie boring.

I would honestly like to have even more focus on the monsters than before. be a Kaiju version of Genndy's Primal. we honestly don't need a human presence that much. but, that's just my opinion.
True, easily the best part of GxK are the Kong sections where he's just vibing and interacting with other kaiju, I'd love to see a whole movie just dedicated to that kind of thing
@@Auzzymandias Kong's scenes and Genndy's Primal have proven that facial expressions and actions are enough to convey what the characters think and feel. a whole story was told with almost no dialog. Monsterverse would really work well in this direction since the monsters have good personalities on their own. heck, the monsters are written better than the humans.
One thing I would like to see is Godzilla finally getting his son, Minilla, and how he would do as a father. Godzilla is known for having a fowl temper. he's broken up two other Kaiju fighting each other and kicked both their butts because they were making too much noise. the human characters once referred to Godzilla as, "The big angry baby" and he's very used to being alone. so, what would happen if they brought in Minilla and Godzilla is now experiencing parenthood?
@superzilla784 absolutely agree, I'd also like to see more of his relationship with Mothra fleshed out a little, they haven't been shown together very much but what is there is very interesting. They both appear to be the only members of their species so it could have some interesting background behind why she's the only kaiju around he actually likes.
I think you need the human presence, that’s what gives it scale. We just don’t really need to give the humans a storyline.

Am definitely excited for this new film and can’t wait to see a more Godzilla focused story with a more emotional plot but I hope Godzilla will still have that slim look to him but maybe a little bit bulky at the same time

This was god awful the creatures didn’t look REAL looked to cartoony and the CGI ruined it the way they used it if you watch the previous movies or watch godzilla MINUS one the effects were way better more superior at least dodzilla looked REALISTIC the effects looked very real this just looks cartoony like a computer game don’t look REAL and as the monsterverse has gone on you can see the difference in the special effects
Please let Spacegodzilla, Gigan or Biolantte be the next Big Bad (Desteroyah would be to soon). Give Godzilla white Dorsal Plates like Final Wars Goji or GMK Goji and finally give the Movie a serious Tone. Thats all i hope for.

The only problem I had with Empire was the Hollow Earth stuff. You don't get the scale of the monsters because there were no humans or human made props as a scale comparison for the monsters. It was like an alternative Planet Of The Apes with Godzilla as the guest star. Does that make sense?
I had the same issue! I even said to my partner "Kong looks smaller!" Only Kong wasn't smaller at all! I actually think that was beautifully done because it really does put their size into perspective.
I think a next movie should be a bit more like the 2014 movie. A bit more sinister and threatening in feel.

I really want Ghidorah to be brought back fully somehow. I feel like he was kinda wasted in KotM and should've been encountered far later than Godzilla's second MV film.
MV Ghidorah is one of the few versions that actually has agency and isn't just a weapon for some antagonist.
I could definitely see them bringing Ghidorah back. Maybe he took over Ren's mind when he was linked to MechaGodzilla and has been using his body as fuel to slowly regenerate again.

Next movie I want to see Space Godzilla. I don't want them use Destroyah just yet. Save him for the final movie in the Monsterverse when it ends. Could be a way to reboot the entire Monsterverse if Legendary decides to do that.

They only make new movies based on how the previous one does. They don’t have these movies planned out like Marvel or DC.

Wouldn't surprise me if the studio is going out of their way to push Wingard out since he DID prove them wrong with Mothra = $$$. Wingard WANTS to direct #3, hence recontextualizing the Mothra story as the studio wasn't sure if Toho would say yes.

UPDATE! I just read the article itself & it clearly states that the dude is only writing the script to GxK3. Hell, we're not even sure it'll be a GxK3. Nothing is said about him directing, However, it was implied that he might if Wingard is unavailable. Wingard, himself, is down for a GxK3. Again, not saying that what dude is writing IS for THAT film. They're discussing 2 separate topics, which is causing confusion.

I'm so excited it did so well in the box office. I told a lot of people to watch Godzilla x Kong and Godzilla Minus One, and they tell me how much they enjoyed them. My youngest is craving to watch Minus One at home. That's all he wants to watch right now, I can't wait till it's released on bluray in the US. I really hope they bring Gigan to the monster verse. He's one of my favorites!

I watched all the Monsterverse movies again a week before seeing GxK and I must admit 2014 Godzilla has a very dark, serious tone that I do rather like. The MUTO sounds, the haunting music at times, the cinematography, and Aaron Taylor Johnson running interference to help Godzilla, still one of my favourite Monsterverse movies.

I think they should do an alien invasion movie. Godzilla faces another Ghidorah and Gigan. Then have an army of alien monsters arrive and Kong’s kong army and Shimo come out for a war.

As long as they don't do a 360 on the story focus, the mosterverse movies have been moving towards more focus on the Kaiju, their expressions, and stories while the humans are there for explanations & comedy relief, if they keep to that, the next movie will do well

For new members of MV Kong's rouge gallery alongside Skullcrawlers and the Skar King: dinosaur Titans Gorosaurus and Titanosaurus, and arthropod Titans Kumonga and Megalon
im excited to see how king kong feels the crown and how he handles challenges for leadership in his species ,and how they will try and protect him if he encounter's threats like other titans or godzilla

This last 10 years has been a new gold age for the genre with only our favorite turtle missing out. The Ultraman film proved very entertaining as well with plenty of action as well as some good humor tossed in as well. Hopefully more will take their shot at bringing back some classics. Deimajin maybe?
I attribute the recent success of the Monsterverse to be the pivot from human stories with monsters to the opposite. Fans wanted to know more about Hollow Earth and its ancient and mysterious history. With each movie, we learn a little more to set up the next film.
It's currently $548 million.
We need more Future Monsterverse Films.
This is the story I would like to see:
Godzilla: Nemesis
A new Gojira Titan, smaller than the current King of the Monsters, emerges in Tokyo bay and decimates the city, attacking during a Monarch meeting and killing most of the members. In the aftermath while authorities are looking for survivors, the KotM shows up, causing more panic as he tracks down the smaller Gojira. This confuses Monarch as Godzilla is suppose to be able to locate all Titans at any given time.
Gojira attacks several more cities along the pacific rim, always at Monarch bases. But with each attack he evolves, growing stronger and bigger, which leads to several clashes between Gojira and Godzilla, the latter seemingly hesitant to fully commit to taking down this rival.
Eventually the truth is uncovered. A group of genetic scientists within Monarch formed a pact to kill Godzilla after all the damage he has caused, and have used his DNA spliced with other titans to grow the ultimate Titan killer, code named Destroyer. Their plan was to eventually kill it using a modified virus specifically created for it alone, but Destroyer escaped, and is now tracking down all the scientists responsible for its torture existence.
Godzilla, for his part, struggles with the fact that seemingly one of his own species exists, but refuses to submit to him.
The climax of the movie has Destoryer and Godzilla face each other at Monarch headquarters, where the conspirators inject Destroyer with the virus in order to kill it. However, Destroyer has evolved beyond his genetic weakness and instead absorbs the virus and uses it to mutate one final time, activating a dormant gene within its genetic code: Ghidorah!
Godzilla roars in fury as his nemesis returns before his eyes, unleashing every ounce of power upon his foe. But the arrogance of man trying to tame nature once again tears its ugly head (three heads in this case) which leads to a great cataclysm that leaves the sky dark with ash, similar to what happened when Earth was struck by a meteor long ago, covering a third of America under a dark cloud. The battle ends at a stalemate, with Ghidorah flying to the moon to rest as a wounded Godzilla sinks beneath the oceans and vanished entirely, unable to be found.
The film ends with Monarch in shambles, the world under threat of permanent climate change and rampaging Titans free from Godzilla’s oversight, and the constant threat of Ghidorah returning.
This would lead into the next film Godzilla x Kong x Mothra: Battle at the End of the World.
For the next film, I'm hoping more towards a newer version of Biollante. The fact that the new jungle area of the Hallow Earth was filled with man-eating plants and since Godzilla was there, his DNA could had mixed with one of those plants. Could become a ruthless monster who's terrorizing the tribe people and so Godzilla/Kong have to put a stop to it, but they get beat. So Kong hides away and then Bio escapes to above earth and begins a rampage where Godzilla has to chase it, kill it himself and it's particles fly into space...
Yeah, either Biollante or Spacegodzilla would go HARD for the next movie (they might even do Destoroyah, who knows), but adding Gamera to the mix would just elevate this to a whole other level for me (and A LOT of other fans), so join the #MonsterVerseGamera movement, it's not too late!
A godzilla movie filmed like cloverfield would be scary.
Monsterverse has a similar trajectory as Stranger Things; started serious but gradually became lively and light hearted until pivoting back to a serious tone that everyone liked.
I want the next film to take a huge risk and do a Godzilla junior take (take the funko pop design as a template for how to make a newborn Godzilla)
Godzilla 2014 was the best movie of the series! It had the closest feel to the Japanese franchise! Gareth Edwards was Peru to direct the movie

Gigan, Destroyah, Space Godzilla, Biolantte, King Caesar, Jet Jaguar, Battra, Monster X, and Anguris are needed in the last movies. All of the others can be side characters
Few of those Kaijiu would work in the Monsterverse.
The 3rd Godzilla x Kong crossover movie needs to show SpaceGodzilla as the main villain just like we need to see Godzilla Jr, Mothra having a Bigger Role, Rodan, Anguirus, Monster Island, Maser Cannons/Ships just like we could either see Mechagodzilla 2, Moguera or Jet Jaguar.

Somethings seemed a little goofy. Like the kitty pounce in the beginning, if worked but felt funny.
The high dive scene also bugged me. It barely made a wave. It should have been a flash Tsunami.
I’m looking forward to GxK to start streaming. That would mean we are that much closer to Godzilla minus-1 coming to our homes!
What his resume really shows is how important cooperation is in filmmaking. That's how one director/writer can have both terrible and great movies in their portfolio.

Destoroyah or spacegodzilla or biollante
SpaceGodzilla for the Monsterverse could be the 1st Gojira Species that was born but then he got corrupted similar to Skar King, Ate a Star and when all the Titans fought against him he fled Earth vowing revenge. Also like the Toho movie SpaceGodzilla has lots of Abilities like Telekinesis, Geokinesis, Energy Manipulation and others just like he wants to Terraform the Earth into a Giant Crystal and wipe out all life with his Crystal creature army.
I just hope this upcoming film fixes the glaring issue with GxK by giving Godzilla more screen time.
Is a new Kiaju out of the picture? Can we not have a totally original Titan on the schedule? Will ToHo not allow new monsters to be added to the lexicon? More Mothra is on the list of future films..I hope. She could easily carry her own presentation. Flyin' creatures are always bankable...why not more insect based Titans...the MUTOS can't be the only variations of the monsterverse...yes?? This franchise has a vast array of possibilities...all we need is a little imagination and a great director/script. We have the patience...but do we have the future talent??? Love the channel...continue the great work.

They need an all new cast, I'm done watching the story through their eyes. Completely gut the whole writing crew as well because the story in the last 2 movies leaned significantly on Kong, the title does say Godzilla & Kong so at least put The Big G in the bloody movie.

At the very least it seems we can expect awesome action from the writer. And if we’re lucky, it may pull at the heart strings very well like WW84 (that film moved me to tears, loved it lol).
Personally, all I ask for are well or decently written human characters, a story more centered on Godzilla since it feels like he got somewhat shafted in both GVK and GXK, the story to explore Godzilla’s past and his way of thinking and generally give him the emotional development that Kong has been given, and a badass enemy that isn’t Destroyah (I love him, but I want him to get some more build up). Maaaaaaybe SpaceGodzilla. Personally tho, I’d either prefer an original villain or Hedorah. Something that’s not necessarily the most powerful enemy the heroes have ever faced, but something that is perhaps the most dangerous and challenging. Maybe even a product of humans.

In the intro to Godzilla x Kong every actor listed has a funny little spoiler next to their names and for Alex ferns it says he should stay away from plant life 😂. For Kaylee hottle it says she's psychic and for dan Stevens he's the director or operation power house. And finally for Brian he gets 73 downloads a day lol

Like so many people I also hope the film has more Godzilla screen time. Even though the scenes that he has the last couple movies is always awesome. But I also would like to see what (or given some indication) of what his life was like when he was younger. Also how he interacts with other kaiju like the graphic novels. And simply just more awesome scenes. I also would like to see him in a more serious and emotional film (though I think the NE is more serious than people give it credit for).
It is time. We need Mecha King Ghidorah in the sequel.

In the next movie, I want to see Godzilla being beaten down, almost to death. He should be fighting against Destroyah and Gigan. Just as Godzilla is about to get back up, Space King Ghidorah arrives.
