    This is the best way to refill these bottles. But, once you have the cap off, cut the two tabs by the threads with wirecutters, etc., and you can easily unscrew the top over and over without the hot water.

      Jay Casmirri Music two tabs?

    • @tc_locdnloaded
      @tc_locdnloaded 6 лет назад +1

      Jay Casmirri Music thanks for the tip. Once I got the top off, I used my jewelry wirecutters to cut the tabs on bottle and it worked like a charm. I don't have time to use the hot water method EVERY TIME!

      OMG, thank you so much! This video is awesome & then this tip too! The first time I tried, the lid got stuck when I went to refill because I hadn't clicked it all the way shut, so make sure it's on tight before putting it back in the dispenser.

      I will definitely do this the next refill!

    Love this hack! Best hack I have seen so far. The hot water doesn't melt the plastic. After the hot water, the lid popped open easily. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks so much for this! I've just learned that this product is discontinued where I live which would have made finding refills not only expensive but nearly impossible so I'm very grateful for your help :)

      Instead of removing the lid every time I made a hole on the top end and refill it without removing it from the unit

    Worked like a charm thanks. And i used a big nailclipper to clip the 2 tabs on the bottle so i can just twist off the top next time.

    This method works like a charm...and is so much easier (and less damaging) than using a butter knife.

    IT WORKED! I bought refills on Amazon for $25 a 6-pack, now they want about $200 for that 6-pack! I am filling for pennies now! One extra step is to clip those tabs off of the bottle!

    Heat causes expansion; therefore the hot water expanded the plastic cap so it was easy to remove..... anyway; awesome tutorial. Will have to do this from now on; I just started using this system and now it has been discontinued.

    "something about the boiling water softens something"Simple physics. Different plastics have different rates of expansion.

    • @BelowAboveAverage
      @BelowAboveAverage 8 лет назад

      +sludgeguts That's not what is actually at play here. There are ears that lock into a channel preventing the top from being turned. The hot water softens the ears so they bend when the top is twisted. After opening it, cutting the ears off with a pair of flush wire cutters will allow you to reopen it without the hot water bath.

    • @sludgeguts
      @sludgeguts 8 лет назад +3

      +signingupisretarded When mine was empty, I simply removed it from the machine & drilled a 20mm hole in the centre. Now, I can fill all my dispensers without removing the refill or even turning the machine off. I pugged the hole using a 20mm blind grommet

    You can drill or poke a small hole in the upright part and just refill through the hole (I use a small funnel) without having to remove the cap. Also in case there are any little ones around using this you can cover the hole with a piece of tape in case it gets knocked over. ruclips.net/video/TYvPjPrXbtc/видео.html

    se o produto tivesse um preço justo as pessoas não precisariam criar isso para poder usar o produto. As empresas não enxergam que o consumidor não é burro e que o preço cobrado é um assalto de tão caro. Vou fazer isso, pois acho absurdo o preço cobrado que é 4 vezes mais caro que qualquer outro sabonete inclusive da mesma marca.
