Platform: PC, 60fps, no mods with Effect Quality set to Low.
Game: Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition (Steam)
Playthrough: First (NG - Dream of the Samurai)
    Controller: PS4 DualShock 4
Footage was recorded using 2 different new characters with the purpose of using all 3 Guardian Spirit types to demonstrate that any spirit and weapon can be used to clear the Boss efficiently. The intention was to provide a different perspective for people who are struggling, and to show that aggression and damage is not something that is exclusive to later in the game.
There may be moments throughout the footage where Enki does basically no Ki damage. Unfortunately, this seems to be a bug that was never fixed. Thankfully, it's not guaranteed, but it does hamper the idea of using it.
Killing its mini snake arms will make the Boss take a burst of damage as well as temporarily stun it (both can stack).
    - Using moves with vertical reach is effective at hitting the arms, like High Stance Attacks. Horizontal attacks can also hit the arms too at certain angles and timings.
    - A very effective way of killing both at the same time is to use the Mezuki Soul Core once the Boss transitions to the Dark Realm as both arms detach from the Boss to become an enemy.
    - As demonstrated early on, Mezuki can also be used when the Boss sends both arms into the ground to kill both at the same time while dealing a ton of burst damage.
Hitting its glowing head will also stun the Boss. I generally prefer to lock onto the body rather than the head itself as I find it easier to fight the Boss this way, though there is a solid case for maintaining the head as the lock-on focus or swapping between the two depending on the situation.
I highly recommend destroying all 3 Snake Statues found in the area before the Boss. If these aren't destroyed, then the pits in the Boss arena will be filled with poison which slows you and poisons you. All 3 Statues are found at the bottom level of the cave (same as the Boss).
    - Due to elevation being a thing in this game, sometimes Mezuki (and other attacks) can end up whiffing if for example one of the Snake arms falls into one of the pits during the Dark Realm transition, or if I myself was standing in a pit, which was a huge pain during recording.
    Damage Bonuses Used:
    - The main damage bonus used was a Corrupted Weapon. When the bar beneath the weapon icon is filled (by hitting the enemy), the weapon will glow purple and gain a damage bonus of 30%.
    - Another damage bonus I used is when you hit an enemy's back, you get roughly a ~60% damage bonus to your attack (this bonus also applies when enemies strike you from behind).
    - Lastly, the Feral Spirit, Masaru (the Monkey you get after the first mission), also has a damage bonus when you absorb Amrita which is 10%. You can tell when this is active by looking at the Sword icon below my Anima bar in the fights that I used Feral.

    - iirc at this point I did equip the Yamabushi blessing to have a higher drop chance of Soul Cores to level the Shiftling Tree. It'll vary from player to player, but I do think especially early on that the Shiftling Tree skills are very valuable and worth focusing on over the Amrita blessing for more level-ups.
Proficiency in both Ninjutsu and Onmyo trees are usually leveled as I clear the stage, using things like Gunpowder Bombs and Shuriken for Ninjutsu and buffing myself using Divination Talisman for Onmyo respectively.
Weapon Proficiency Level: 8-9 (7-8 Skill Points)
    - Points used will try to be accurate to the expected Weapon Proficiency at the time the Boss is encountered in a normal playthrough (mileage may vary).
    - Any excess points gained will not be used as the goal is to emulate a new character/player as much as possible.
    - Excess points will be gained naturally due having to reset the fight (due to taking damage).
DLC Boons were used in the Shrine with two of the accessories that were given being equipped. If you're unable to obtain these by using the Boons tab in the Shrine, there's a guide on the Steam Nioh 2 Forums that has a solution.
For Equipment I've compiled a separate video here: (the footage in this video also affirms what I've outlined above with stats and levels)
