Being from Seattle I can tell you a few things: the centerfield bleachers are a nod to old stadiums, you used to only be able to buy tickets on game day, and the centerfield bleachers are actually quite popular amongst fans.
The left field area is very popular with fans, it gets very crowded because people love to hangout around there, it’s quite cool to be able to walk around the stadium and not miss a pitch, which you can do on the 100 level.
I think they should keep the seating capacity, if we are a perennial playoff team those seats will be very profitable during sellouts.
Honestly I don’t think our ballpark needs a large scale renovation, but a few small things could be done

Clearly hasn’t been to T Mobile Park. For all the talk about left field it’s actually one of the most fun areas as a fan starting with Edgar’s cantina and then the restaurants behind the bullpen and ability to view and interact with the bullpen. Sure you could do things with seating, but you lose a very nice fan experience open to everyone. You’d actually have to go to the park to experience it, but for me it’s the most enjoyable park to just walk around I’ve been to. I’ve been to about a third of the ball parks.

I have a cool Picture inside of Safeco Field, in March 5, 2000. The Kingdome, was still in the background. The roof operates using water power. Like uncoiling a garden hose, to push the sections of roof. When you come from the Sea-Tac Airport, coming into Seattle on I-5, Safeco Field looked like a, "Thing." I was like , "WTF is that!" Luckily they *could do nothing and be just fine for another ten years if the team is decent, people here don't care about the bells and whistles so much. They'll do *something, I wouldn't expect much. The place is in excellent shape for it's age, there really is little TO do honestly. The batters eye, bit of a history there, was green, had trees n shit initially, but the black stuff was put in because the angle of the sun was bad. Why the trees have never gone back in.....? T-Mobile Park is one of my top 5 parks in the entire league, it's the best of the roofed or retractable roof stadiums in the league to me. It's got the perfect balance of outdoor and indoor baseball, and it's absolutely gorgeous, it reminds me of Coors Field in that spectrum. It should get to the 2050s with renovations here and there. It's in the perfect location and doesn't need to be replaced. (Dodger Stadium, Shea Stadium in NY, Veterans Stadium, Phila., new stadiums in Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Cincinnati, etc.). Now, stadiums are getting smaller, back to 38 - 40,000 capacity. Also there is open area right in center field where you can grab a beer and be right of the warning track. I would hate to see that go I love that spot.

Interesting take take on Safeco Field... I mean T-Mobile Park! The batter's-eye area originally had pines as you suggested. I believe it has had at least a couple of iterations before landing on what we have now (purely functional). The way the bullpens are now is such a cool fan experience. You can get right up in there with the players and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I believe the ballpark has recently had renovations and I am skeptical that anything major will happen in the near future. I do not think Depressed Ginger has ever been to T-Mobile park other than seeing pictures of the ballpark. Then he makes youtube videos and comments on what he sees from pictures. All in the name of creating content for youtube.

They definitely don’t need another bar and they have already done the trees for the batters eye

North and South Dakota were both really hot last year so Seattle would have been. Not that close together sir.

They better start winning or this will be academic.
I remember the day they demolished the Kingdome. Boom!
It's the PNW, Doug fir trees and not Pine.

Probably needs to be torn down , so they can build a new one with a modern exterior and translucent roof

It has a modern exterior. Are you talking about modernist design? If so, no. We don't want another squarish concrete and glass building. It's fine the way it is.

$600 million for a "renovation"? Let the King County Residents pay for another tax hike! As someone who grew up in Seattle during the 60's and 70's (yes I was there for opening night on April 6, 1977). I can't believe the citizens would tolerate another tax scam.....but hey they've gone WOKE and can't spend tax payer's money fast enough in 2024 King County.
