Day Air Ballpark used to be one of three similarly named baseball stadiums under the Fifth Third Field title, as all three used to be sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. It's a nice venue to see some top-tier Minor League baseball.
Being from the hometown of where Dow Diamond is and working there for the last five years, it's honestly an amazing ball park for lower level minor league ball. Until this year the Loons have been the Low-A affiliate of the Dodgers. The ball park has a massive video board in right field, a kids play place in foul territory in right field right next to a big hill of grass seats. A wonderful pavilion in left field foul territory with food and drink, working fire places around the outfield for those cold nights in April and May in Michigan, and it's own radio station housed in the suite level. It's an amazing ball park and one of my favorites to ever go to.
I’m near comstock park so I’ll happily take the whitecaps as my home town team. Also A.J’s is really fun (the mini golf and go kart place by Lmcu ballpark).

Great video! The reason all the stadiums out west look way worse, is until this year they used to be low A stadiums. MLB realigned a lot of these teams this last off season.
You skipped the prettiest little ballpark in the world, Nat Bailey Stadium, home to the Vancouver Canadians (high A west). Oldest manually operated scoreboard. Beautiful views of a park and downtown. Just because the team has to play in the US this year because of Covid doesn’t mean it isn’t a high A ballpark!
I live in Greenville. Personally, I miss the Braves AA team but I digress. Flour is nice and situated truly in the Westend of Downtown Greenville whereas the G braves were way off down in Mauldin 30 minutes farther south. The Drive is nice but you don’t see nearly as many players end up in the Bigs. We had Tom Glavine & Chipper Jones, both Hall-Of-Famers, as well Andrew Jones and a tonne of others come through the G-Braves. Got to see Michael Jordan play there when he was with the Barons. Loads of rehab outtings from Pitchers. Seemed like Atlanta always sent them to Double A for rehab stents. Single A is not as exciting. And also, the Wisconsin Timber Rattles field sucks it’s just awful with that artificial infield and natural grass outfield. That red roof Makes me wanna check into a room for some reason too. I hate it.

McCormick Field may be my favorite MiLB park ever. Fantastic place to see a game. I love the rickety old field, and the fans...it's like everybody knows everybody else. And to watch a home run disappear into the trees is such a thing of beauty.

Everyone that works there is nice, down to earth. The food is great and reasonable prices. There are 4 mascots. Ribby is awesome, haha. And the games are always great to watch.
My dad actually did the concrete overlay around the concourse at Parkview Field. We got free ticket to like four games that season, as well as the league's All-Star game, which was there that year.
I used to go to Beloit Snapper games a lot and on bobblehead days, there would always be a long line. I remember there used to be this one dad and his sons who would walk through the line giving popsicles to the kids all the time. It was pretty cool
I like artificial turf. Been to Pasco many times and there is nothing there. Still surprised they did not put the ballpark along the Columbia River. Love these videos. I am more of a low minor league fan than a Major League or AAA fan.
The entire California League, along with the Florida State League, were both demoted to Low A from High A, so Lake Elsinore will probably be featured in the next video.
Always enjoy these videos! I hate to give you more work, but there's a ton of great/interesting independent league baseball stadiums and stadiums that used to be part of Minor League Baseball before the recent reorganization that I'd love to see get videos as well. Would also love a video on the MLB Spring Training stadiums, some pretty cool ones there too!
Great to see Dow Diamond on this list! If you've never been there, check it out. 2 story store, great food, suites are nice, and not a bad seat in the house.
"Ron Tonkin" owned a huge Portland auto dealership. And while Funko Field (or whatever they call the place in Everett nowadays) looks uninspiring in fly-bys, it's actually a quite pleasant place to watch a game.
The stadiums in High-A West are all moving up from Short Season. Outside of Spokane, they weren't exactly designed to be big time ballparks. I go to a lot of Aquasox games, and Funko Field is not a great place to watch a game other than being really close to the field. Concessions are not good, the surrounding area is not safe, but the staff of the team/stadium do work very hard to put on a great show. A side note about the stadium in Hillsboro. The football and baseball stadium share a big walkway that houses the concessions. The stadium that is attached to it hosts D1 Portland State University and a lot of high school championship games.
I went to the Aquasox game this season because my dad's cousin is a private pitcher coach for one of the Aquasox pitchers. I thought Funko Field was a pretty cool Field for a high A team. Also, I thought that Concessions were super good for a High A team. all around it was a great field.I had a good time there other than it being really hot that day I went to the game.
2:42 Truist was a very nice ballpark to be at. In 2018, I went there and watched a 12-10 walk-off Grand Slam in the 10th inning. Featuring future White Sox star Yermin Mercedes.

the small field he referred to by Ripken stadium is a mini version on Camden Yards in Baltimore. the other fields are Yankee stadium, Wrigley, memorial park, and fenway
If you do Low A don’t be fooled by LECOM park in Bradenton. It says opened 2010 but it actually opened as City Park in 1923 and has been remodeled. One of the oldest stadiums in baseball still used by an MLB team.
I grew up going to Aquasox games and playing football on the field behind Funko field. I can say the atmosphere brought by fans is great. The stadium is utter trash, most high school parks are nicer than that place. Oh the view is amazing, you have a wonderful view of the Cascades, have to give it that .
Modern Woodmen Park was previously named John O'Donnell Stadium, after one of our prominent sports writers in the Quad Cities. We hate it that the name was changed.
While not in use for this season for obvious reasons, there is one stadium that went from being a Class A Short Season park to a High-A one this year, that being Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver, normally the home of the Canadians. It's located within an actual park. I've been to it once myself, and it's pretty nice there.
Fox Cities stadium is really nice! It's easy to get to off the highway, it's 30 minutes SW of Green Bay making it a nice minor league park to get to even for out of towners (Milwaukee is 2 hours from GB). I've been there many times and it's always a good time.
Need to also do a video of major independent league baseball stadiums. Home of the former Triple-A and 3rd oldest ballpark in the US behind Fenway and Wrigley, Bosse Field in Evansville, IN is home of the Otters and has a long history of local greats who have played or coached there that went on to the major leagues. It also has links to Hollywood with A League of Their Own staring Tom Hanks.
I went to a few games at Fluor Field and to be honest, their green monster is just a massive eyesore. It's not backed up by anything, there's no stands around it, and it's pretty much entirely blank save for the traditional scoreboard on it. If they'd put something around it, it'd look a little better.
I know this may not have a grand interest but how about summer college leagues. I live near one in Bristol Connecticut, Muzzy Field. Babe Ruth hit his first homerun there. It's old but beautiful though

Fox Cities Stadium is also home to the Wisconsin State Baseball Championships. And they schedule games in a way that a few times a year you can catch a minor league game in the afternoon in Appleton and make the drive to Milwaukee in time for a Brewer game
Love the stadium, hate the name: Truist Stadium in my hometown of Winston Salem...the name just flows terribly (was better as BB&T Ballpark, but the bank is now Truist Bank). The Greensboro stadium is nice too.
Funko field is actually a great ballpark. It might not look that good but they have made improvements over the years to make it more up to date. Great place to watch a game it's a little cold in April and when the season starts cause it's by the puget sound. The aquasox and Everett city council are making plans for a new ballpark.
The difference between High A and Low A is that Low A is geared more toward new MLB draftees. It's got a lot akin to the previous Short-Season Class A format, though it's not a short season.
The stadium in Winston Salem is nice but it was expensive. Ended up being something like $48 million. They also just finished completely ripping out the highway you see and redoing in in a very fancy way. That wasn't cheap either but it really did have to be replaced and it all looks really nice now.
The problem with Funko Field is that it was originally a low A ballpark so it isn’t Super suited for high a baseball. The other thing is that it’s one of the oldest stadiums in the high A west, and it’s actually owned by the Everett school District
Love how you go over these lesser known grounds. I'd love it if you did English rugbyeague stadiums including the lower leagues. They're ugly as fuck in a lot of the time but they have a lot of history
The west stadiums were the “short season A” stadiums. The West “high A” is the California League. Lake Elsinore, Inland Empire, Modesto, Visalia, San Jose, Stockton, Rancho Cucamonga, Fresno. Great videos though! Awesome actually.

Awesome actually.
whitecaps lmcu ballpark is really nice and it is always well attended and i get to see spencer torkelsen
