I suddenly remembered this like 5 mins ago and so I went straight here on youtube. Never thought how much nostalgia this evokes! Tandang-tanda ko nung napapanood ko 'to palagi nung bata pa ako (batang 90's here). Hindi ko lang narecognize dati na si Agot pala ang kumanta. This is the best tourism ad ever!

Natatouch pa rin ako hanggang sa ngayon. Nakakaiyak, I saw this on PTV nung nagka cable na kami tapos pag di naka bayad ng cable charge ito na lang yung free na napapanood through PTV. It was in 2000 when I saw this but can't contain the excitement of watching this. In 2000, it reminds me of my younger days and vacations in 1993 in Visayas and Mindanao. So until now this is one of the very best tourism campaign by department of tourism. I LOVE THIS VIDEO AND THE SONG. IT'S VERY FILIPINAS. Walang katulad kahit e-compare pa sa mga tourism campaign nowadays. THIS VIDEO WILL ALWAYS BRING ME BACK TO THE GOOD TIMES.

hope you can share some bits of information during the production. as far as I know the house with multiple windows showing different sunsets was shot at Isla Naburot in Guimaras Island.

wow!! i was 14 years old that time when this commercial was aired on TV. 1993 - 1979 = 14 hheheehhe.
it's been 18 yrs. tumatak talaga sakin yung concept ng three windows showinf different sunsets. this video is very natural, unpretentious and serene, you'd really want to go to the philippines! i hope DoT use this as inspiration to promote our country to the world.

Nakaka LSS, I was only 2 years old when this came out. nakalimutan ko na nga to until my brother made me listen to it again now that im older. hahaha. HUHU #nostagia yung di mo na maalala but when you see it again after so many years, dun mo marerealize na youve seen it pala when ur still a kid hahaha

Truly a beauty! It is only here in the Philippines at Manila Bay that you can witness the unique world reknown sunset as it dramaticaly kisses towards the horizon of the bay! Truly magnificent!

Napapanood din ito sa PAL :) napakalaki ng impact during early 1990s ang tourism ng PH, from Ms. Universe, PALs Classic TV Ad Shining Through at itong TV Ad na ito and among others, mas magaganda ang media promotions that decade compare ngayon kahit more hi-tech na. i miss the old days! lagi ko rin napapanood to sa PTV 4 before, and even sometimes in ABSCBN and IBC 13 before.

Maganda ang pamamalakad in terms of Tourism and Economy when Fidel Ramos is president... mas nakilala ang PH, mas umangat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng Pilipino, but now, simula ng matapos ang termino nya, lumagapak tayo sa lusak... well, we try our best, but still, napag iiwanan nga lang talaga tau.

Back then, tourism here was a preserve for the wealthy elite and foreign visitors! And the number of places that had any real tourism industry and infrastructure for it was fairly limited compared to now! "Holiday Economics" and the rise of LCCs in the 2000s started to change the tourism scene here.
Another thing that was very different back then compared to today - young, single white female tourists coming here on their own was a real rarity back in the 1990s! They almost always came with family or with a partner. The rise of the backpacking culture in recent years has thankfully changed that too. 😊

That time when Filipinos had a sense of originality. The new slogan "Love The Philippines" is blatantly copied from the tourism slogan of Barbados, "Love Barbados". It's sad that the DoT employs incompetent people for their creative department.

quite normal during the warmer months. try visiting Boracay during Amihan season (November-February), walang algae diyan sa White Beach.
