The company has long been dissolved, but its “Shining Through” legacy endures. n 1988, Avia won Best Poster Campaign at the Asean Tourism Forum and 4 awards at the Creative Guild’s Ad of the Year . The next year, , the still-running campaign bagged 3 Anvil Awards, and its print series “Casa Manila Classic” was adjudged Best Print Campaign at the 16th Asian Advertising Congress in Pakistan. “Shining Through” also reached the finals of the Clio Awards in New York for TV Advertising. The campaign was also written about in international magazines like Time, Newsweek, and Wall Street Journal.

Roberto “Bobby” Caballero
(RIP - August 31, 2014 66 Years Old)
He was the highest-soaring creative in Manila’s advertising scene during the late 1980’s through the early 1990’s with the breakthrough “Shining Through/ Beauty of the Philippines” campaign of Philippine Airlines. Conceptualized for both local and international audiences, the campaign created positive impact not just for the airline but also for the country.
As executive creative director of the wholly Filipino-owned Avia Communications, he was responsible for directing the agency’s creative output to meet the world-class standards of its client, Philippine Airlines, whose media budget - reputed to have been the biggest for a single account at that time - was heavily skewed to international advertising. Unlike his industry peers whose work was solely directed to the local market, his task was to ensure that the international campaigns of Philippine Airlines measured up well with those of highly-respected competitors like Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific.

He is a beloved and respected director/cinematographer. Trevor came to the Philippines in 1988 to work as DOP for the Philippine Airlines campaign, ‘Shining Through’ with the late Bobby Caballero. The Australian shot miles of enthralling footage, which showcased the best sights and experiences our country has to offer.

He has been on stage for more than 30 years working in musicals and straight plays and currently has been working in films , like Julia , NOS482, and many many more, others still in production. Blanch is Filipino with a mix of Spanish and English. Jaime Blanch was then a stage actor with Repetory Philippines who did musical plays like Pirates of Penzance. This led to advertising jobs-as an actor, voice talent and producer. His fine vocals was soon heard all over the airwaves, which led to a short showbiz career.

These days the opposite SQ KE/OZ JL/NH/ BR/CI/JX TG MH and CX > PR Philippine Airlines
