Hahah same
The big thieves got attacked
System is still down, my mechanic husband is scrambling as is the whole shop.
him and millions of others in this country.
Doing what
It got hit again over night
yeah they are that useless to fix this
CDK is trash, it feels like your using a program from the early 90's
This!!!!
We’re an Agricultural equipment dealer in Montana and our CDK was down yesterday and is still down all day today…
LIES!! They got attacked again last night. System was down all day Wednesday and now all day Thursday. Still no honest communication from CDK. They will pay dearly for this mess. There are employees still working with no guarantee of payment. Wait until they find out they're working for IOUs.
and they will LOSE CUSTOMERS. I'll tell my GM to lose this company.
@@user-zl1fz4qm3f CDK is the leader in the automotive sector and have a robust system. As a service tech at the dealer who also has done SysAdmin and programming work previously, and will do so again in about a year, its not that easy. Stopping a cyberattack is not a 2hr job. You have to shut everything down, figure out what was attacked (were things deleted, stolen, etc.), figure out how they got in, fix the vulnerability, do a codebase review, test the fix, and then roll it out. GitLab actually did a live stream of them fixing their systems when 50% of all their records were deleted. Thats just a fix-up and it took about a day, a vulnerability exploit takes way longer.
CDK can be blamed if their security was lackluster or negligent, but if it is a complex attack that wasn't just due to someone keeping the default password on the database or servers, then I'd say its more of a "Lesson to be learned" rather than "Lets all raise our pitchforks"
I work for a major manufacturers FS call center. This may be connected to the small outage we had on Thursday 😢
Oh no! Price gougers got their butt handed to him. Oh those poor people...
Our shop is in disarray right now as we speak. Hard for us to function this way. Hope they get this addressed soon!
still down
will probably be down tomorrow, too.
no one knows and CDK ain't doing crapola to get this up and running "ASAP"
Our Gm dealership is completely down from service to sale and parts and even our payroll departments in all dealership locations and one of the concerns is our history of the last say 5 plus years of service and sales being deleted when they get the CDK back up and operational. We're so screwed.... and that's putting it lightly....
Still down, the shop is chaos today we had to cancel all appointments and no work can get done
Hit with ransomware
Where you hear that
@@BG5850 email chain. Plus if you're a member of Life at a Dealership online we're all talking about it
great...then this will definitely last a few days.
When will this be fixed!
Still down
Kia in PA is affected by this CRAP
Yeah, umm this reporting is wrong.
Only tells me trumps winning 🏆 trump 2024🎉 baby!
Cdk could be down for days they told us this morning in canada. First step before conflict is to disable parts distribution networks.
