I’m 58 and I miss being married. I’m not comfortable dating because people are crazy. Marriage between two Christians, who both put God first, and understand the vows they took, it is truly a gift.

That’s one of the problem we have stop respecting the proper order which is GOD ,MAN,,WOMAN,KIDS and of course the basic words of God as to how to do it properly ! It’s not because we are the leader of our family that it gives us the right to not take care of them and respect them be attentive to their needs that is the work of the family to respect one another and all have certain responsibility and some that we share

Ah, the struggles of being a single christian woman. There are way more women in my church than men. Finding a man who loves and serves the Lord and is single seems just about impossible nowadays
If you ask God, you'll receive it. But in the meantime, prepare for it by abiding in God's word daily and practicing what you read, and the man will find you.

Sis Marriage is not about being in love and making love. Listen to Voddie. A young lady goes from being protected by her father, who loves her, not in love or wants to make love to being under her husband who protects and loves her and occasionally makes love to her. If your father is still alive submit to him and you will develop the grace to submit to your husband. This is what God requires.

Medical issue can rob you of sexual intimacy, sometimes in marriages the other spouse lose hope and looks outside. But when your perspective is on Christ, you will endure all the hardships that come to all godly marriages. To think that is is all rainbows and sunshine in other words love and being in love, you will be divorced and rob God of glory. 22 years married, 4 children lead marriage couple groups

Now, to address all that you've stated; those are facts where they belong and to whom they belong, and you didn't mention this in your first response to the young lady. So please understand how I've read it aloud when I first read it.
Yes, it's about the glory of God, and to procreate, sex is needed.
Intimacy is also sex.
Leading: in all capacities as a Godly man, protecting and providing, for our wife and children 👈🏾 if children are present are all a part of our creation role as men.
This young lady is being honest in her prayers to our heavenly Father, that she desires firstly:
1) A Godly man {husband}
2) To be lead be that man of God.
3) To enjoy their intimacy 👈🏾 she clearly doesn't want to defile the marriage bed~ {Hebrews chapter 13 verse 4}.
1 Corinthians chapter 7 verses 3 and 4 addresses the *"responsibility of the sexual relationship"* between the husband and wife.
The word of God teaches that sexual intercourse is an intimate expression of affection between a husband and wife. According to Ephesians chapter 5 verses 31 & 32, sexual intimacy in marriage is a privileged "mystery" by which 2 people, a man and woman, become 1. Sexual intimacy in marriage is a powerful symbol of the love between Christ and the church. A pure sharing of joy and delight in one another that is a gift from the hand of God.
I will say again, see what is written in Songs of Solomon.

I have often thought of the benefits and the torture of having hundreds of concubines. That’s a lot of hormonal pregnant women at the same time. Aside from the obvious benefits there are draw backs.

The only thing that has prevented me from marriage is all disastrous divorces I have witnessed throughout my life. Government involvement is another. In society today, it's a guarantee losing "contract" no matter what happens in the marriage. It scares me and others out of getting married.
Don't let that be your reasoning to stay away from marriage. There are many ways you can go about protecting you and your assets especiallyin the year 2024.
At the same time you as an individual have to ask God to show you who your partner is and use discernment. People get caught up and choosing partners only using their fleshly desires. Start with making a list of the type of partner you need in your life, and ask your self are you even worthy to have such an individual.
Continue to work on yourself and improve yourself as a Godly individual. Marriage is more than just assests. It's deeper than that FOR SURE.

Marriage is oppressive when the culture or any religion determines that women are property to be held captive and controlled instead of image-bearers of God who are to be cherished by their husbands, forsaking all others. It's disappointing to me that Voddie does not address the fact that marriage has been weaponized as a means of control for centuries, even if it started out as a wonderful thing by God's design.

That’s not how that works.
Marriage is a social institution and originally the purpose of it had to do with inheritance and social politics. Men in the past wanted to know that the first born son got their stuff when they died and they wanted to make sure it was their son and not someone else’s. So they had their wife and nobody else was allowed to sleep with her. They also wanted to tie families together by arranging marriages between their children and the children of people they wanted to get closer to. For most of Judaeo-Christian history women where treated as property and had no say in the mater of marriage. For most of that period men had the right to have as many wives and concubines as they could afford. Unlike Norse paganism for example where women were considered separate but equal, where they had the right to Inherit titles and property from their husbands, where they could choose their husbands and where marriage was always between one man and one woman.

Can you please explain the "two Israelites" part of your comment. God made marriage to include all races. Are you referring to "spiritual Israel".
What I think of, " An Israelite inwardly" means when the two become one in the body of Christ, they are considered God's precious jewels inwardly. These marriages are accepted by God. And only few be that finds it.
Obedience to God is far better than any sacrifice of the changing of last names. In this way we show our love towards him and return our spouses reap the benefits as well
