I just bought some coloring books from dollar general... rhe sayings aren't so great but the books are called advanced coloring inspiration and hope $3 there was books and mountains I'm putting in my Bible
I like the way you use light water colors on this page because you really can choose if you want light or a darker color upon the scripture verses. Great idea!!!
Thanks for sharing your talent. I just bought my first set of Inktense pencils and want to learn how to use them for Bible journaling and card making. This is a good lesson to get me started. Thanks again.
I love how you traced into your bible. I am eager to try out this page, using some of my favorite colors in inktense pencils. Thank you for a great video.
Beautiful page! I love it! Thank you for making the traceable available for all of us. I can't wait to give this a try. I love my Inktense pencils, too!
After I watched this I purchased a few Inktense pencils. I will be purchasing more. You can get them individually from Blick Art Supply. I absolutely love them!
My husband got me the 72pencil set for my birthday (3 days before Christmas) and I have to make myself try other mediums now... Thanks for the little tips~ and the printable
You lucky duck! I get stuck on using them and have to force myself to break away and use other mediums. After the last couple of videos these seem to be what I keep reaching for!
I love Inktense pencils. You can do a background fairly easily if you colour on the page first and then activate it with a decent amount of water. Just bear in mind that it is an intense(!) colour, so don’t colour too heavily if you want a light background. 😀
Such a beautiful page and what's not to love about another free printable!! I have the Inktense Pencils and Blocks too. My hubby got them for me when they were on sale at Amazon and I've not used them too much but this was such a great tutorial video on them! There was a Blick Art store in Fl while we were there and I went to check it out and added to my collection too. That place is a crafters candy store! Thanks Lindsey!
I was really torn between getting the blocks and the pencils. I may have to pick up a few blocks just to play with. I wish we had a Blick Art store close by...though that might be trouble for my bank account lol
I found that the store was very much over priced compared to their online store. The only thing it was great for was being able to see hands on. My bank account was hurting when I left! Lol
It would be nice to see some of the products in person or have a place to pick up something if I don't want to wait for shipping. I have been pretty impressed with their online pricing!
Wow, I'm amazed you're able to do all that without having to prep your pages first with transparent watercolor grounds or clear gesso, that is fantastic!
Beautiful! I love the printable, thank you! I have been nervous about creating in my bible when it covers the words... so I took a look in my bible and I have a whole blank page right next to the first page of Ephesians! So I am going to give this one a try!
That's perfect! I was a little nervous at first but now that I've figured out which pens and mediums work best I'm not as afraid. I've also realized that it's not the end of the world if I do make a mistake and I can always read from another Bible if it does happen.
Thanks! All I had to do was scroll further down below. You are in Springfield, CA cool. As I said I'm in Long Beach! Also I see you do have Instagram. I will check it out😀
Hello, I'm a new fan. I have fallen in love with this type of bible journaling and looking for a journal that I can use instead of my bible. What would you recommend? I use Prisma watercolor pencils and watercolors paint as well. Thank you!
I love this! I downloaded it when you first put it out, but didn’t do anything with it. Sunday I drew something like it, using yours as my inspiration. I’ve never done splatters or a wax seal before, but gave them a shot. The seal is one of Ingrid’s (come Holy Spirit) from Open Journey. It’s going to be a tip-in. If I post it in my journaling groups I’ll be sure to give you credit!!!! As long as it’s ok by you, that is?
Hi Lindsey, I'm a huge fan of yours and watch all your tip Tuesdays and Bible journalling tutorials. I have traced the sealed with the Holy Spirit and ready to use my inktense pencils BUT I would love to know what colours you chose here? If you have the time I would really appreciate it :-) x
Thanks! Colors were listed in the blog post 😉 (Apple Green, Fern, Carmine Pink, Crimson, Shiraz, Sun Yellow, Tangerine, Chili Red, Teal Green, Charcoal Grey)
+Jedikeri if tracing doesn't work than you can use graphite paper to transfer the image. I think I show that process in my Watercolor Galaxy Tutorial for the lettering.
Do you think that one day you could sale your Art Journals you have colored to your RUclipsrs? I would love to buy one. Yes. I would do my own but I would still like to buy your books that you have done.
I have no intentions of selling my Bibles. They are my personal time and connections with God. Bible journaling should be about your time spent with God not the artwork that is created. My current Bible is filled with prayers for my family, friends and self.
Hi thank you for sharing your process... i cannot find where we go to get the free printables... ive watched a fee videos now. Someone please help me. Im just starting bible journaling. 🙏 Thank you ❤️🔥✝️
@@LindseyDecor oh my goodness!! Thank you so much!! love that sermon notes sheet you did!!! God bless you, loved your video I'm just getting started on bible journaling so I really appreciate the help. 🙏✝️❤️🔥
If they say Inktense then yes they act like a watercolor pencil (they are actually made of ink). Derwent does make regular colored pencils that don't react with water this way.
LindseyDecor thank you!!!! I did this tutorial and although I need practice I love how the inktense pencils react and come alive with water. Thank you very much!
I have a question I'm after some derwent pencils for my journal bible. I'm not really into water colouring should I just purchase the standard pencils in the Derwent brand or buy the inktense
+Sophie Louise if you aren't ever planning on adding water then I would go for the regular pencils. If you used the inktense and then accidentally got your Bible wet or ever did decided to use water in you Bible, all of the color would activate and run.
LindseyDecor thank you for answering. I do love the look of water colouring but I have tried it in the past and just not my thing. I'll just buy the normal pencils. You bible is so inspiring thank you for sharing your art
Does your bible margin have lines? I am interested in getting started with bible journaling, but I would like a bible with no lines on the side... can you recommend one??
+inkyplanner it has very faint lines and honestly I don't really notice them once the art I complete. They are super helpful for getting things straight and evenly spaced.
fantastic - I hadn't thought of that. I can't stop watching your videos and I'm so inspired by all the illustrated faith team and process vids I'm seeing. Anxious to get started!
I'm really new to this whole process, I would've never thought to trace something on to my bible page. Thank you soo much!

Thank you for the printable and for the great idea to replicate a much-loved page into a new bible.
Stunning again Lindsay..🙏🙏
simply lovely. derwent inktense pencils and water brush are my favorite craft tool hands down.
Aren't they great!?

Wow, that's awesome. Love those details too. Will see if I can go to your blog.
Thank you for the download and the process. I just did this in my bible and it's beautiful. I love your videos.

Pencils you can use in place of using a brush n water colors. I agree with you too. I cannot wait to order my pencils😀
I love my inktense pencils! You did a beautiful job on your page. Thank you for the printable. I love it!
Aren't they great?! You are welcome, I hope you enjoy using it!
Wow, I'm amazed you're able to do all that without having to prep your pages first with transparent watercolor grounds or clear gesso, that is fantastic!
These journaling Bibles really can stand up to quite a bit. I hardly ever use anything to prep the pages.
Wow, that is awesome! Do you buy a bible that is made with paper for art journaling?
The ones I work in are marketed as journaling Bibles so the pages are slightly thicker but not much.
Thanks for using the inktense I have a set and I love them
I love this free printable and how it turned out in my bible. Thank you!!
So pretty, never used any of those products. I guess I will have to. Thanks so much. You do lovely work. God Bless
Lovely, thank you for the inspiration!

What a great video! I have the inktense pencils but haven't yet used them - so you've inspired me to pull them out!
You should really play with them, they are in my top 5 favorite products!
So pretty!! Thank you for the printable!! Love your videos!!!!
You are welcome, and thanks for watching!
Beautiful! Thanks so much for the printables.
You are so welcome!

You should do a bible flip through
+CHANTAL DOWLING I’ve done a few but maybe I’ll do one on IG live sometime soon.
Very nice! Thank you for sharing. Did you do any page prep beforehand?
Nope, no page prep.
Very pretty
Cool idea. I wonder if tracing will work in my NIV Coloring Bible I just bought. (I can't draw to save my life. Except for Stick Figures that is.)
+Jedikeri if tracing doesn't work than you can use graphite paper to transfer the image. I think I show that process in my Watercolor Galaxy Tutorial for the lettering.

Does the water wrinkle your page?
+Melanie Myts it does but it flattens our a lot once the Bible has sat closed for a while.
Beautiful! Why haven't I thought to trace in my bible yet? #duh
Hahaha! Tracing is the secret to a lot of the fancy lettering in my Bibles ;)
You have probably answered this before, but how do these work on top of clear gesso?
It’s similar to working with watercolors...it sits on top of the gesso in a way I don’t like.
... I didn't hear if you gesso'ed or treated your page in any way first?
Nope, no gesso. I very rarely page prep and if I do it’ll be in the list of products in the description of the video 😉
