  • Malaika Kimani always knew she was destined for greatness and did not let her housemaid status determine the kind of person she was going to be
After all her trials and tribulations in Kenya, she met a man that promised her heaven in Norway but little did she know that this would be the beginning of another painful phase in her life.
On this episode of Inspire Global, she walks Lynn Ngugi through life in a strange land, how she went back to school, got a great job and the unfortunate events that made her lose millions in the hands of family and fake religious leaders
She will also be sharing tips on some of the things Kenyans, especially in diaspora need to be on the look out for to avoid getting conned
Sheila from Kings Developers will also be giving us tips on how best to invest in Real Estate without getting conned and walk us through the beautiful projects you can invest in

We have these self ordained false prophets in Kenya targeting people in Diaspora for finances and some of them have made In into the Diaspora where they have started all these Churches that they use to Milk money from Kenyans. They’re living large and you’re toiling day in day out to finance their lavish lifestyle. I stopped attending such churches or dealings with them.

Wa Kinyati - what you love from Malaika was mostly pure lies! Of course lies are easy to sell on TV as someone seeks the glory of what never was/were! Malaika is very weak to hit Norwegians at the weakest lint! She is unfairly undressing a people I lived in their midst for 4 years and I still have a lot of friends in Norway many years later! Great people, very kind, makes great friends and very loving! I have watched her episodes series and she is telling many lies. I really liked the level headedness and honesty of her son, Kimani as he spoke about his life in Norway and his friends. I also support the idea of her son looking for his father no matter how bad the situation it sounds.

@@brendaamong898 you are very right. All over sub Saharan Africa we have same problems. Whether you speak to Africans in Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia, etc you will find similar problems. It is just an issue with culture which is selfish. That is same way our governments are behaving. They prefer to mortgage the country for personal gain. Individually, we have to work to improve on our culture and learn to work together and build sustainable families and businesses. My father died, people came and fought and took all businesses just to destroy it later. I am a British of Cameroon origin and I have lived with Africans from all cultures and backgrounds at home when young so I am aware of this problem. It didn't start today and is across all sub Saharan Africa. If we don't talk against it, we cant change things. There is a video trending now of a women who spent 40 years in USA, helped her family, sent them money to build her a house but came back and found nothing.

Good morning Lynn, I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 episodes with Malaika. I am so glad for her success and her determination to keep her head above all her struggles. I am Jamaican and live here on the island and have read and heard of Jamaicans living in the diaspora having similar experiences with relatives or friends. I strongly believe persons living abroad should visit their country and do their own due diligence. In addition at the moment, there are so many high-end apartments and townhouses being constructed throughout the island in gated communities, which I strongly believe members of the diaspora can invest in without building from scratch.
A great interview!!!! With many lessons to take away. May the blessing of God be with you always Malaika and your son.

Not until I stepped my foot in Europe I realised I'm totally Sane & still have values instilled on me...These people are mentally depressed & under the influence of hard drugs.... I've seen people who got married/dated here , put under house arrest, not allowed to socialize with people, physically abused, not allowed to work or keep communication with their families back in Kenya. They take advantage of the fact that their spouses don't understand their language. Therefore, that makes easy to manipulate people around that things are okay. But at the same time the abused spouse have to look normal in public places. Restricted freedom of movement, tracked down wherever they go. They even follow them to school...The victims sometimes get depressed & at the verge of committing suicide. Sometimes, friends back in Kenya asking to be hooked up with a 'mzungu' I just pity them, if only they knew what happens behind the closed doors!

My sister was killed by a Kenyan man, many women have suffered under our own African men!
Plus Europe is a continent, in the U.K. it’s not that bad. We are still surviving peacefully. Not sure where in Europe you stepped your foot in, perhaps you should analyse yourself.
