Was in the business for a long time. I think these videos are cool they take time to show there skills. And it's good for people who can't afford to hire someone. So props
Sometimes these types of videos make it seem like it's super easy to dig out the ground 4 inches. I like that you showed that not every yard is easy to dig. Some of us have to work with ground full of rocks!
You are lucky that cute dog did all the hard work of supervision for you... that baby worked non stop, hope she got all the love and treats she’s owed...
Really appreciate the extra work to make sure this thing looks good for a while and doesn't get overrun by weeds and grass in a year. So many people do quick and easy backyard jobs like this and everything becomes unlevel and a mess of weeds and grass after about a year or sometimes it takes just one summer of heavy rains to turn a backyard project into something that barely resembles what it once looked like.
Wow this was a lot of hard work. I really appreciate that you've shown all the steps realistically and how much work it is instead of the typical 2-minute videos that make these projects look super easy and fun.
I feel like for myself, I've done landscaping and gardening SO much that this stuff is no longer exhausting. The more you do it the easier it seems. It's weird, but I used to be overwhelmed in my early days of gardening.
I like how you showed all the steps involved with leveling. My husband and i did a project similar to this and its not an easy job. Takes time and patience to get it right but once it's done, it looks great.
Very good tutorial, very well explained. And I also want to congratulate your parents: blessed to have a son that cares (it’s in the details) for them. God bless you and enjoy your parents for as long as you have them ❤️.
Hi!! You have a nice smooth, easy-to-listen-to voice for this you tube video! You did a GREAT job explaining your process, kept things moving, while still focusing on your quality job for your parents! Little dog is adorable, smart, and the best supervisor, ha!! You gave me some new ideas for a walkway - THANK YOU! Heidi
I've decided to make a path in my parents garden rather than letting them pay for someone. This tutorial is so easy to follow. Thanks. Also your parents dog is adorable ❤️
Coming from a landscaper, if it’s not too late, I highly recommend laying fabric between your stone and sand so your sand doesn’t settle into the stone over the years. I hope this helps and have fun!
Exactly how I wanted a path next to my garden bed. I have been putting off starting as it was too daunting. Now I know that I can do it myself, so thank you!!
this is the most helpful video i have found about installing step stones/pavers. I'm re-doing my parent's front walk way, something I have never done before. I like the way you explained the tools you used and why you used them. Well done on the whole video
Oh my goodness, my eyes strayed away from what you were doing. I wanted to hug your little cute pup right through my cellphone screen😊 He wanted to give you a hand. Lol
Very clear and helpful. We all shall have to improve our DIY skills as the cost of living shoots up. I now have the confidence to neaten up the bit in front of my conservatory. I enjoyed watching the dear little dog trying to help at the start.
Hello from the SF Bay Area! Great info! I have watched a lot of videos on this subject and so far this is the easiest and most applicable to my DIY project. Thanks!
Thank you! I was searching how to make a small pathway for my backyard. Saw many videos already, and your video is the most informative one! Gonna check if I have the tools and start the project asap!!! Thank you again!
This is beautiful. Thank you for explaining each step, you were thorough & kept (those of us who don't have a lot of knowledge about this kind of stuff) everyone in mind. I have a walkway that needs replaced & with prices rising like they are, I might 🤞be able to do this myself. It looks fantastic! Nicely done.
Thank you so much for your feedback! You can definitely do this, just make sure to be patient and take your time. Thank you for the love and support! 👍🏽😊🙏🏽
I came across your videos. I like the way you explained the process step by step. And linking the products used. It helps alot. For people who want to diy. Thanks.
I really appreciate this video. I have a similar project in the near future. I’d like to make a suggestion for next time. All those planes tell me your folks liked the privacy. I saw many perennials in pots. I might have made a planting border along the deck & put the plants in the ground and put the walkway in beyond the border. A little less lawn to mow & some appealing landscaping that give privacy on the deck. Cheers!
Dude this is awesome. Awesome idea, awesome tutorial, awesome finished look. I just figured out what I’m doing along where my soffett-drip line used to be before my rain gutters were installed! Thank you!!! And moreover, I’m gonna do a low deck now, as opposed to one 3ft off the ground. YOU JUST SAVED ME A TON OF MONEY!!!!
Good content, easily explained. When I bought my house it had identical pavers like you did in the end. I ended up redoing it because every time I walk, one foot on paver, another in between pavers. So I placed them in a straight line and removed the crack so it's brick-to-brick. Just needed to buy a dozen pavers more😊
Your dog is adorable and I'm obsessed lol. Also thank you for the diy video - I'm about to tackle a project like this in my yard. I didn't even know there was such as thing as a paver base
Just love ur cute little helper..ur dog..sooo cute..who was showing support&love towards u💕What a fantastic great job..what a difference n I live in a Apt watching ur vid.. still appreciate ur hard wrk n how beautiful it all came out😊👍🏻
Excellent video, very good DIY explanation. I just did my patio border the same way (with bricks). One difference is I used quick setting cement under the bricks so they wouldn't sink in the future. I wonder if the paver base and sand prevents that future sinking.
very good video. every time when i have to shovel i water the grass beforehand. it makes shoveling so much easier (bc i have loamy soil with many stones)
Glad I finally found a video doing what I was doing. Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. I had to use a pick are to bust up my dirt though. Where I live is not called rockcastle for no reason! Lol. I'm using really pretty field stone instead of papers though but everything else is the same. Thank you for a great video!
Thanks for this I need a walkway to get to the back of the house and wanted to put a small patio off the deck your so lucky to know how to do this my worrrie is how to level the path and the patio space for some reason so intimidating to me

@@FixThisHouse keep them coming thanks for sharing,👍
Great job good choice of tan rock
No kidding. I just got quoted 6k to do a 50’ strip of side yard. It’s heavy work with the stones but geez.

That small border made such a big difference in the overall appearance. Amazing. Thanks for sharing .
Love your dog, great little helper... he/she was making sure you did a top notch job :) Great walkway, thanks for the video.
Thank you! She was truly supervising me the whole time 😂! Thank you for the love and support! 😊🙏🏽
So Beautiful to see a family working together and including the fur kid. Thank you for the great video
Thank you so much! Family ❤️
You are lucky that cute dog did all the hard work of supervision for you... that baby worked non stop, hope she got all the love and treats she’s owed...
Yes haha! She did great supervision. She was well rewarded with treats and dinner! 🙏🏽👍🏽😊
Awesome that the supervisor kept an eye on the quality of your work.
It’s the barketing Manager for sure ❤

Nice work doing for your parents. Your parents are lucky to have a son like you. Please take care of your parents like this and spend time with them
I am glad Jue was able to manage and supervise the entire project from beginning to the end!
Very good tutorial, very well explained. And I also want to congratulate your parents: blessed to have a son that cares (it’s in the details) for them. God bless you and enjoy your parents for as long as you have them ❤️.
Thank you so much! Love my parents to the moon and back! 🙏🏽😊 Take best of care my friend! I wish you the best!

The four-legged supervisor stole the show 😍
Yes she did 🐶😊😍. She’s a tough Boss!
I love everything about this video. The way it’s filmed and edited and how
thorough it is. Instant like and follow absolutely. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this, from someone that overthinks everything and doesn't really get to start projects, THIS IS A LIFE SAVER. Thanks 😊
Omg I’m the same!! Hoping this is a project I will start .
Love your explanation. Been thinking of redoing my fur baby's memorial spot in my yard but the ground is so dry, this video is super helpful.

This is the best breakdown ive seen on you tube so far !!! Thank you
Awesome! Good explanation! I'm ready for my next project, and by the way, proud of you that you did this for your parents!!

I think this guys a perfectionist and made this harder than it needed to be
The devil is in the details 👌🏽
Your path looks GREAT! Thank you for posting this with very clear steps.
Very nice PACE....did not get bogged down with one particular instruction. That is important. Thank you.

Thank you for showing a newbie how it’s done~ I would love to spruce up my yard~
Your have a little supervisor there just walking around. So cute.
Yes she’s a strict one! Didn’t let me take any breaks 😂 . Thank you for watching!

Your dog reminds me of one of our dogs that was a favorite of the family. She was the same breed and had a very sweet personality. 😍
Thank you! She’s my favorite! Very sweet and loves to cuddle! 🐶 ❤️
Your dog was so helpful and inspiring! 💕Thank you for this really excellent video - this is my next project.
Well done. I’m getting ready to replace a walkway and this video was a perfect tutorial.

I like how you explained it all & simplified this video. I love the dog added in to your video🐶💜Thank you
Very nice work! Thank you for walking us through it.
Helpful video - I plan on doing something similar as this around the sides of garage.
Beautiful work! Looks gorgeous. Very helpful: similar project on our to-do list. Thanks!
I’m glad I could be of help! Thank you for the love and support! 🙏🏽😊
Very nice! Probably now is the best time to do a project like this, without the heat being set to 'hell' outside. LOL
Thank you 🙏🏽! Yes I agree! Fall is the perfect temperature to do yard work👍🏽😊, plus the rain will help soften the soil for digging
Excellent video, very good DIY explanation. I just did my patio border the same way (with bricks). One difference is I used quick setting cement under the bricks so they wouldn't sink in the future. I wonder if the paver base and sand prevents that future sinking.
Great job lot of useful information , hats to you for helping your parents
I totally agree with you. The white marble chips from Home Depot would have looked so much better!
Yes 👍🏽😊, but it’s what the customers (parents) wanted.
Yuck. I prefer the natural mixed stone his parents wanted than white marble. This looks richer.
The color pebbles they chose were perfect
Great tutorial! everyone helping and doggie's company and smile the best😉
Love the little white dog😊 he is being such a help
Family projects are always the most fun 😊
*What a nicely done job! Pathway looks beautiful!!!* 💪💪
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
I love your cute and sweet puppy! Valuable tutorial thank u for sharing!😂

I’m glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
I enjoyed watching the dog project supervising the whole thing. 😂. Great work.
Thank you so much! 🐶 is Boss! Hehe
i like the river pebbles rather than the white :)
So helpful and your dog is adorable!!
Can I put dry cement on the ground to stabilize it then the pavers on top? Thanks for the video sir 👍
This is perfect for what I was looking for! Getting this done for papa!
Glad I finally found a video doing what I was doing. Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. I had to use a pick are to bust up my dirt though. Okay! You've convinced me into thinking I can it myself. 😂 this will be my next project. Right after digging up my shrubs lol.
You got this Brittney! Happy landscaping! 🙏🏽😊👍🏽
Great video! Thank you so much. Do you k ow about how much you spent on supplies?

Excellent job, great video. Job well done. Thank!
Very nice you’ve made me feel
I could do this myself. Thank you 👏
Exactly, I felt the same way. I can do this, each step may take me longer, but I can do it.
I wish I felt the same.
Best tutorial video I’ve seen. Thanks
