Wow! Thank you for sharing this. I’ve always been a thick girl! I’ve always struggled! After having two kids in my 30s I gained 100lbs. I’ve now lost 60 with 40 more to go! I’ve changed my bad habits and I’m Vlogging it all.
Body For Days by Jeez Jerrika man, having babies def adds to the struggle, doesn’t it?!? Lol. That’s amazing you’ve already lost 60 so far - keep it up!!!! ❤️
Thank you for sharing your journey. I will be 60 this year and have struggled my whole life with my weight and self image. I don't have a problem exercising. Food is my problem. I love your videos.
A few years ago I went on a very restrictive diet, no sugar, grains or dairy and gosh did the pounds melt off me. The big problem was it wasn’t sustainable. Now I stumbled on your channel looking for macro counting explanations and I got far more!! Everything you said about body image has been me and I feel you. I just signed up for your 30 day meal plan and I am so excited to focus on quality nutrition with balance!! Thanks so much for sharing your story and your knowledge.
Hey. I just recently came across your videos. I totally identify. I struggle with weight and self image. It's good to hear from someone who feels like I do. I'm gonna keep watching
Lacey I am hooked on your videos , thank you so much for being so honest and open about your journey, also kudos to your wonderful husband for supporting you through all of this. I absolutely love your recipes (I haven't found a bad one yet) my husband even likes them, so that is a win win for me. Thank you making all of your information available and making it way easier for the rest of us.
I’m so happy you and your hubby enjoy my recipes and you’ve been hooked on my videos, too!! I def owe a lot of thanks to my husband for his love and encouragement throughout the years ❤️ Thanks for your support!! 🥰
*_This is my story as well.been obese all through my life and having hard time to have a kid motivated me to lose all the weight.Lost 70 lbs and ppl now dont even recognize me anymore.I do cardio 30 mins almost 6 days a week. And i do Intemrittent fasting 18:6_*
OMG Lacey you are an inspiration to me. I was coming across some information about intermittent Fasting and researching it. I saw your videos. Thanks for the post.
Thank you for being brave and generous with your story. I am at the beginning of my journey and really needed this motivation. I appreciate your candor.
Oh my gosh. I am so grateful to have found you. I've had 5 babies (my 2 month old daughter died in heart surgury) I have been needing this video. I feel so inspired and encouraged. Thank you for this video.
Thanks so much for this. I'm 73 and have recently started TRE, tracking my macros and increasing my protein and calcium intake to forestall any worsening of my mild osteopenia. My meals were so boring and I missed some treats. This video allowed me to rethink my meal planning and enjoy eating again.
Thanks so much for sharing your journey and for all the videos on your channel. I just found you yesterday and I’m SOOOO excited! I am about 50 pounds overweight and want to eat well but I didn’t grow up eating well and I don’t have a lot of healthy, satisfying meals that I know how to prepare. I’m the type of person who would rather clean your bathroom than cook. I can do it but I don’t find pleasure in it. Probably because it’s so stressful wanting to provide healthy meals that my kids enjoy which seems to be an oxymoron. I’m really hoping that as I work through your recipes that we will find some my whole family will love and over time as they become accustomed to eating more healthy foods their palates will be more receptive to things they don’t currently like! And as my arsenal fills up with satisfying healthy recipes perhaps I will enjoy cooking more! Your youtube channel has certainly been an answer to prayer! Just yesterday morning I was praying for help to break free from this cycle. 😊
I just found your channel yesterday and I’m so grateful I did. I am turning 60 in about a month and I’ve got well over 100 pounds to lose that I’ve struggled with since I was in my late 20s when I had our fourth baby. I have metabolic syndrome which makes it so hard to lose a single ounce unless I figure out the right thing to do which so far I have not. I have tried keto, I have tried vegan, I have tried low-fat, I’ve tried counting calories. The thing is I’ve always kept the artificial sweeteners and all those fake foods in my plan and now I know that’s what the problem was ! I am on the cusp of diabetes on the line of pre-diabetes/diabetes, my cholesterol is high and my blood pressure is not horrible but not great either all symptoms of my metabolic syndrome. Some slight thyroid issues but I’m not on medicine for anything at this point and I really want to keep it that way.On top of that my husband had back surgery last July and has a lot of weight to lose which is probably hindering his healing. We are both emotional eaters which has not helped ! I am very happy I found your channel and a healthy sensible way to eat. Thank you for sharing the story it really does help. I wish I could’ve lost the weight between each of our kids but I never really did. I lost a little, but never really got it off and after our fourth one my weight just piled on. I am now at around 240. I’m going to get on the scale tomorrow morning and find out for sure but it’s probably somewhere around that maybe even a little more. My husband’s going to weigh in tomorrow too so we can face the truth , and get started tomorrow on our new plan.My biggest thing is learning how to cook food that tastes good and is healthy. But I think I can learn that now from watching your videos and I’m so excited that I don’t have to give up carbs, and I don’t have to give up meat, I just have to be sensible and eat the healthy versions of the different things we want to eat. Thank you so much for your wonderful channel I cannot wait to watch more videos!
Hi Lacey. Awesome video! Thank you for sharing your story. It has inspired me. I have lost 24 pounds since the beginning of January and your videos on clean eating have helped me tremendously. I need knee replacement surgery so certain exercises are out for me at the moment until I lose more weight. But already with clean eating and cutting out gluten, fried foods, alcohol and refined sugars, I'm starting to feel better and even sleep better. Thanks to your videos I'm on my way to a healthier and happier me!!
Wow that’s awesome - congrats on your success already this year. I’m so happy to hear my videos on clean eating have helped you this far. YES just changing the foods we eat makes a HUGE difference - even without exercise. Good luck with your knee surgery ❤️
I love your story- and your recipes have changed my foods I keep in the fridge and pantry and this is changing my ability to loose the weight i want to, without feeling awful! Thanks for telling your story- bless you and your family!
After a weight loss journey...I was a 120pds , got married... got pregnant, got to about 150... then depression ... then alcohol...now I am 184pds... struggling to get in shape again .. I cry every day...😪 ( sorry for my grammar I am a spanish speaking )...
Hi Lancey, I just found your videos today. Im really impressed with your story. Im 65 years old and have been gaining around my middle. I am committed to getting healthier and loosing the muffin top. Ive been on my health journey for quite some time and love learning about health. My golden years are going to be spectacular. Thanks for posting your videos.
You're so inspiring! I really need to follow your advice and healthy, clean living lifestyle. I was always thin, but then menopause hit and I gained weight. I was able to lose it in 2019, but gained it back in 2020. Feeling defeated, but your videos have inspired me to not give up. Thanks so much for posting them.
Wow ! This is great I can identify with what you shared .. the clean eating is key ! Once I stopped using processed food and oils things like headaches , skin issues , poor immunity and low energy etc. ceased to exist .. I feel like today it’s become easier to make smarter choices and knowing you’re putting the right things in your body takes away a lot of the pressure of calorie intake and dieting obsession! Exercise , in any form of course only adds to it !! Thank you for being so real and relatable!! 😊🙏💕
Thank you for sharing and for all of through teaching I have gotten from you. I recently lost 28 pounds with phentermine...I felt awful, but I was thin. Then I started watching your videos and stopped taking it. I am working on clean eating, meal prep, exercise, and intermittent fasting. I am also in your 30 day program. I have struggled with my weight since I was young...120pounds in the 1st grade. So I have tried everything. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate everything you have taught me and continue to teach me.
I'm so encouraged cuz I know all these tips work cuz I did it I lost over 45 lb and but I gained it back but I know these work but I'm so encouraged I can do it again. This is truly what works.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. We need to know we are not alone with trying to take back control of our body image and have long-term success. We are given these temples and have to cut out all the bad influences on how we need to treat them. Wonderful job of sharing with us how you adjusted your sails to keep heading to your destination. 🙏👍💜
I love your content. Your journey has really motivated me to kick start mine. After I had my 2 I lost the weight I gained. Then years later found I have PCOS the cause of my rapid weight gain. I’m now motivated to lose this weight and get my confidence back.
You have made an awesome journey! I have had similar issues but not with children. I was a nurse working different shifts and hours. I was usually thin and physically fit because of my job. When I had some knee injuries and had to move to a desk job it was a disaster. I lost 60 pounds and gained most of it back. Now I’m back to 145 again but now I have a fat belly. Some people ask me if I’m pregnant. I’m 65 years old. Thank you for the motivation and education.
You really inspire me Lacey. I’ve been overweight MY WHOLE LIFE! I even had WL surgery, losing 97lbs, only to have gained 50 of it back. 😫😫😫 I LOVE your recipes and I’m hoping for the same results as you with clean eating. But tell me, did you go to culinary school? How did you learn to make such amazing tasting foods? I’ve tried following SO MANY Dr.’s and diets on RUclips, but your recipes and diet tips have outweighed ( no pun inteaded😂) them all! Ty for sharing your journey. I’m 50yrs old and have ALWAYS felt “not good enough” because I’m overweight. And with health problems really beginning to surface, I am just DONE with all the crap and changing my life IS A MUST! Here’s to living the second half of my life healthier than the first. 👍🏻😘
Awesome video! Your story is so relatable! So glad I have binge watched your videos on this Saturday! I'm ready to get started again and go at this weight loss thing at a different way!
Thank you for sharing your story! My weight yo-yo-s. I have hormonal problems and chronic pain. Right now I am at my biggest, 220lbs. I’m scared that I’m going to lose the weight just to gain it back again. Your videos show real nutrition with pragmatic recipes.
Thanks for sharing! After hitting 186 lbs. I managed to get down to 148 by using WW. Thought I could keep it off on my own, but little by little the weight is creeping back, I am now at 158 lbs. I am really focusing on eating more anti-inflamatory foods, as I am struggling to get a bad case of GERD under control. I really feel that this change in eating habits will also help me get the weight back off. I am learning a lot from your videos!
I have lost 80-130 pounds four times before. Im 37 and just had my fourth baby who is now 4 months old. I also started working full-time as a social worker last year and am working so much overtime that I'm overwhelmed. The gym was a huge part of my weight loss every time and I rarely have time to go. I had the benefit of being a SAHM in the past and had enough time to devote to weight loss and now I have no time. I gained back all I lost and then some, as always happens when I have another baby. I'd really like to lose 100-120 lbs again but I'm feeling a bit defeated like I'll never lose the weight again. Watching some of your videos and hoping I might find some hope and motivation.
Hi Lacey, my name is Kathy and I just subscribed to Sweet Pea Chef and paid the extra for calculating my macros. I'm so excited to get started. what shall I be looking for next? Thank you
I just came across your video. I love you!! Such common sense and grounded intelligence! And your recipes are awesome. I just can’t get enough. Please keep up the good work. I am new to intermittent fasting and am trying to eat well. I do have a sugar addiction however which is kind of counter productive. Any suggestions??
You are absolutely amazing! I was just diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. I am 65 obese have lost a lot of weight without trying due to the Hyperthyroidism. Needing to get my eating together. Today, I made my 5 day meal plan with the meal on your video with chick peas, wild rice, sweet potatoes. Thanks for the meal plan video as it helped as well as got me motivated. 🌻🌻🌻
It's a little misleading because she didn't lose 250 pounds but 50 pounds 5 times. She is counting every time she lost baby weight and then added it together. Her "struggle" with weight was well within normal parameters.
I didn't even see evidence she was ever 50 pounds over-weight. Maybe in the 9th month of a pregnancy with twins. I don't think she ever weighed 250 pounds, let alone lost 250 pounds.
Thank you for sharing this. I struggle with actually meal planning for ME because my fam wants to eat different foods. I really don't want to make six different meals a day so knowing what will reheat well and keep well (I like variety), it's been a HUGE struggle and I just jump off the bus more often than not. :(
So grateful that I came across your videos. You are an absolute powerhouse and you inspire me immensely. After spending the whole of yesterday watching your videos, I am excited to start on a healthy eating regime. I experience so much pain from inflammation, but at the same time need to lose weight as well as I have become obese, gaining about 40 kilos since covid became a thing in 2019. Am from South Africa where our economy is terrible so eating healthy is difficult as all the bad foods seem to be cheaper! So was wondering, how about a video with a very basic (affordable) meal plan for inflammation and weight loss? Please? Wish me well, bought excercise bike and am cycling through the pain. Stopped use of sweeteners (your recommendation) and processec foods!!! Thanks for the wonderfull videos. Keep it up!
65 years old and I'm still on this same roller coaster. Going to (mostly) an all plant diet has helped. IF has helped a bit too, but when I'm training on the bike, I can't NOT fuel if I'm bonking. To hell with IF then. But thanks for the wise advise.
I was always able to control my weight even eating almost everything I wanted, but 2 years ago I started with problems with my thyroid and besides that I started with pre-menopause and all the hormones unbalance. I gained some weight and there is no way to lose it, because I am not able to restrain my food intake. I have an appointment with a doctor in one month, to see if she can help me. Your videos are amazing and your story is very inspiring , thanks!
Hi Sweet Pea Chef😊. I am 5'2 and at 213lbs. I am trying my best to get weight down so that I can get BP down and get off meds. I want to know if you can help me learn how to meal prep. I just started walking and got a personal trainer. If you have any advice please let me know. Thanks😊
Absolutely! Have you checked out my meal plan for weight loss of for anti-inflammation yet? Those are both great options for getting started with meal planning. A personal trainer is a great start, too. I’d recommend a strength training routine :)
Love this video. Thank you for sharing your story. I can relate to this SO MUCH. I have a question regarding your weight loss with clean eating. Did you eat regular meals/food after your workouts or did you incorporate protein shakes?
thanks for sharing your story hope I can do at least half that all your journey I have 3 kids and its been hard for me losing weight but I hope with your advices do something for me thanks so much
Thank you for sharing this! Definitely not just a girl thing. :-) I can totally relate to feeling gross and not feeling comfortable in my own skin. I’ve lost over 75 pounds and feel great! :-D You are amazing!!! 😃
You’re very welcome. I work out 4-6 days/week. It used to be 6-7 but I’ve been trying to add in more rest days to recover lol. I do 0 cardio lol. My workouts are entirely weight training focused.
I have a very similar story; same heights, same weights, same feelings. I had triplets, then lost a chunk of weight following weight watchers and exercising. But since the age of 45 I’ve steadily gained weight, and I’m so uncomfortable.
Super motivating video, thank you! Lacey, I have a little question if you have the time to reply to it, I'd be really grateful. I don't have much time in the day, what with the housework, cooking, gardening, I'm quite busy and every morning I find the time to do 45 minutes of indoor bike at home (burning 300 cals). However, I see so many women today doing strength training and weight lifting, etc and wonder if I should be doing it too. What do you think please? I have good muscles and a good body (just want to lose a few vanity pounds) and personally don't know how I could find the time (motivation or will or desire) to do any of that gym stuff. Please tell me it's not an obligation!!
I ran across your page on Monday. I love your page. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for sharing your story. Are you still doing the 30 day health challenge? Are you on Instagram?
I stop eating between meals ? And how can I start to get motivated , I exercise every day get on scale still same weight week after week, I’m discourage, I always feel hungry and want to eat when I’m not hungry so how should I start
I am 50 years old, yuck, am I really?? So I'm old, 😆I weigh 129 and I'm 5'4" . But I feel chubby. My honey has pretty severe heart disease. 100% blockage of his carotid artery and an abdominal aneurysm. He is 5'8" and 1 55lbs. So we aren't overweight, but unhealthy just the same. My esophagus died and I live on smoothies. After going on a low fat diet for his heart disease and having his cholesterol and triglycerides still elevated, I decided to do clean eating. If I can't make it, we don't eat it. No more chips, salad dressings from the store, candy bars, McDonald's or anything unhealthy. And his last bloodwork was within normal limits! And his blood pressure is down, his arthritis pain is diminished. We went low sugar and I gave up Splenda. It's a lot of work, but well worth it. This is How I found your channel. I thank you for lots of tips and recipes, meal planning and inspiration. We walk every night, canoe and hike. We live in the mountains of Vermont, so lots of places to hike. We have more energy and just feel better. I am still learning along the way but I am positive that we are what we eat. I just want to tell everyone I know that this is the way to health and disease prevention. But, lots of people aren't ready. Again, thank you!!
video I see pretty much shows me how you maintain your weight loss but it would really have helped if you could show how you had lost the weight and made the videos during the time you were losing the weight
I wish I had your strength.... I used to be really skinny no kidding when me and my wife got married I weighed about 125 pounds... no kidding I was really skinny... around 25 I started having health problems... at the time they has no idea what was going on... I had pain in my left side of my chest wall.. you could not even touch it.. first they said I had crones .. then they started loading me down with steroids... and I blew up like a balloon.... still they had no idea what was going on with my stomach... ( this went on for many many years ) finally went to a doctor that was 50 miles away and he found a tumor in my stomach.. they removed it... then it grew back .. had it removed... then again again....then finally I was diagnosed with NF1 which is tumors that grow on nerve endings... I had already gained a ton of weight....then I started having knee problems... so more steroids..I have tried no carb diets .. keto diets.. I did nutria system for men.. spent tons of money there... I lose a little weight then it would come back on... 6 month ago I had total knee replacement and now I’m up to 300 pounds.. Before my surgery I even went to a weight loss doctor.. 150 bucks a month. plus I had to pay for my weight loss meds...my wife has lost so much weight doing weight watchers and i tried it also...it didn’t work for me either.. I’m just ready to give up... I don’t eat sweets.. I don’t drink sodas or sweet tea.. i love grilled chicken so we eat a lot of that.. I have learned to make heathy ways to make dishes... We make a lot of our own foods home made... what the heck am I doing wrong...
Hello, it is from the long term steroid use! Take it from me long term steroid use makes it almost impossible to lose weight . Start researching it. I don’t have all the answers but it seems to me that becoming vegan may be the answer. I’ve seen amazing results from all these videos here. Watch the weight loss videos here on you tube from say “I lost....from going vegan etc.” type videos. These show real results! I am Just learning myself. Good luck, keep in touch, Gigi Ward. gigiward333@gmail.com
Congratulations on your health journey! I started having weight issues when I entered menopause (I’m 50). I eat clean, real food with exercise and yoga (somewhat consistently). I do have arthritis issues but I don’t let it stop me from taking responsibility for my health. Life is good. My husband still has the hots for me, so I’m happy! 😆
This video has been a LONG time in the making! I hope this video helps show you that it’s never too late to get started. We’re all just at some point in our journey ❤️
Thank you for sharing your story. I found your channel a few weeks ago & I love it.
Very inspiring! Thanks! I needed to hear that it is never too late!! I’m meal prepping right now.👍

Yahuah Barak atah ❤️
Your husband seems like a nice man! Lacey: a lot of men don't find skinny women attractive especially if they are skinny too!
I love watching your videos - you are so encouraging. I'm 64 and I'm never giving up.
Thank you so much 😊
Very inspiring you are

You are so amazing, thank you for your honesty and vulnerability- I can relate
You are so wonderful after such a struggle you reach out to help others to stay healthy and stay alive
Really inspiring. Thanks for sharing
Awesome! Great message!
Thanks!!
Thank you 😊 🙏
I love your content. Your journey has really motivated me to kick start mine. After I had my 2 I lost the weight I gained. Then years later found I have PCOS the cause of my rapid weight gain. I’m now motivated to lose this weight and get my confidence back.
You are amazing and just what I needed. Thank you!
Great video. Gives me hope and inspires me. Thank you for making it!
Very very encouraging ❤️ thank you
🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
This is so encouraging and inspiring. Thank you!
Gr8 journey, thx 4 sharing💯
I battle with my weight constantly! I'm tired of it! This has gone on for years!
Thanks girl👍🏾 love ur video and story! Thx for sharing n all this great info, really inspirational.
Thank you soo much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do you have pictures that show how big you were before? I don’t see a 250lb weight difference in the ones you show.
It's a little misleading because she didn't lose 250 pounds but 50 pounds 5 times. She is counting every time she lost baby weight and then added it together. Her "struggle" with weight was well within normal parameters.
@@donnathedead7554 well that’s annoying of her.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Lol.
I didn't even see evidence she was ever 50 pounds over-weight. Maybe in the 9th month of a pregnancy with twins. I don't think she ever weighed 250 pounds, let alone lost 250 pounds.
Thank you for being so honest. 🙏🏼🙂
Thank you. I am motivated
Keep it up!
Thanks so much!
Good job! Thanks for the motivation!
Thanks for your motivation cause this story similar to mine losing and gaining after giving birth
Congratulations on your soul journey . Glad you found the right path. 👍😀
This is so motivating. I gained after 2 kids. Struggling but managed to Iose 14kg. I have 20 more to go. Love all your tips and real life stories.
Thank you for sharing!!
65 years old and I'm still on this same roller coaster. Going to (mostly) an all plant diet has helped. IF has helped a bit too, but when I'm training on the bike, I can't NOT fuel if I'm bonking. To hell with IF then. But thanks for the wise advise.
THANK YOU FOR THIS
Yes love your videos ..
Great video!
So inspiring! I’m now going to buy mason jars and glass lunch boxes to create my 5 day meal prep!
Great information! thank you
I feel ya girl
Workin Onit 💪💪💪
I was always able to control my weight even eating almost everything I wanted, but 2 years ago I started with problems with my thyroid and besides that I started with pre-menopause and all the hormones unbalance. I gained some weight and there is no way to lose it, because I am not able to restrain my food intake. I have an appointment with a doctor in one month, to see if she can help me. Your videos are amazing and your story is very inspiring , thanks!
Wow, that must be so frustrating, given your previous experiences. I hope your doctor will help you! I’m so glad you enjoy my videos ❤️
Very good video I just need to eat the right food and more so I’m not always hungry then slip and grab sweets
Hey Lacey,
Just looking into IF. Can u talk about the different types of fasting strategies like 16/8 or eating 5 days and fasting 2 days, etc.
Love this video. Thank you for sharing your story. I can relate to this SO MUCH. I have a question regarding your weight loss with clean eating. Did you eat regular meals/food after your workouts or did you incorporate protein shakes?
thanks for sharing your story hope I can do at least half that all your journey I have 3 kids and its been hard for me losing weight but I hope with your advices do something for me thanks so much
Wow that's awesom
Thank you beautiful for sharing 💕
You’re so very welcome!!
I struggle as well with all of the above you mentioned
Thank you for sharing this! Definitely not just a girl thing. :-) I can totally relate to feeling gross and not feeling comfortable in my own skin. I’ve lost over 75 pounds and feel great! :-D You are amazing!!! 😃
Amazing thank you
Thank you so much for sharing your story! Very helpful!! Do you workout every day? Also how much cardio do you do?
You’re very welcome. I work out 4-6 days/week. It used to be 6-7 but I’ve been trying to add in more rest days to recover lol. I do 0 cardio lol. My workouts are entirely weight training focused.
A Sweet Pea Chef wow!! Have you always just focused on just weight training? I struggle with cardio!!
I have a very similar story; same heights, same weights, same feelings. I had triplets, then lost a chunk of weight following weight watchers and exercising. But since the age of 45 I’ve steadily gained weight, and I’m so uncomfortable.
Ugh I hate that discomfort. My goodness - triplets! Go you!
Thanks for sharing💚💜
I can so relate
I ran across your page on Monday. I love your page. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for sharing your story. Are you still doing the 30 day health challenge? Are you on Instagram?
How many times a week do you strength train? What does a typical week look like for you exercise wise?
You are gorgeous ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Gonna follow also on instagram
Hey, do u take B12 supplements?
I do not. I actually don’t take any supplements.
video I see pretty much shows me how you maintain your weight loss but it would really have helped if you could show how you had lost the weight and made the videos during the time you were losing the weight
I just cannot figure out my macros no matter how hard I try
I liked your Dallas Cowboy hat....................only that one. LOL ;-)

It's also important for you to be happy with yourself.
