How many generations of players has it been where the Chinese Trials or the National Games have been more intense than the Olympics for TT. I do however, have some hope for the mixed doubles as I do believe the Taiwanese have a legitimate chance to win in Tokyo P.s. Ma Long goat of goats

This is because of the need to represent many nations (with a max of 2 for each nation). For top Chinese players, the real difficulty is grabbing one of those 2 spots.
Finally some good news in 2020! Seeing Ma Long playing n winning is always charming. My all time favorite player, the man who inspired me to play TT - Ma Long the 🐐

Compare to his prime he lost some speed and power but with more variation and small techniques. I am just happy to see him still try to improve his game at age of 32.

But he started the illegal serve in the 2nd half of game 3 and the umpire did not warn him until game 4. He almost did not throw the ball at all. He was dropping it.

When he was trailing in game 3, he started this illegal serve. This is tricky and bad practice.
