Being a Murano (L24) owner I thought Infiniti especially this QX was a less practical Murano costing more, then I drove one. Needless to say I now own the FX50 S/ QX70. This car is worlds apart from my previous Murano ; the built quality is premium, it's brute performance in a suit. Even more fascinating is that it has a smaller turning radius thanks to 4 wheel steer. They are probably right about the fuel consumption but I couldn't be bothered to find out because while in the past I got my adrenaline rush from bunjee jumping now its everytime I stomp on that throttle. As for the technology, the list is endless. FYI Radar cruise control trully works and the car will brake to a standstill from 80 km/h! I want to say drive this car before you dismiss it but don't, I'm enjoying the exclusivity and honestly another owner would mean I'm one car closer to driving a car every Tom, Dick and Harry drives....as is the case with the Germans.
facts, it's a unicorn. Yes the interior can be better but I enjoy it over a lot of other cars I've driven and it's easier to maintain over it's competitors.
i know it’s been 6 years lol but how did the car hold up? and How much space did it offer? enough to comfortably road-trip with a person in the passenger through a couple states right???
Hi @@jaycrzy5737 6 years later the car is still in my garage, paid off and am keeping it, that's how good it is! Have travelled South Africa with it, I remember the longest road trip I ever took was from Johannesburg, East London, Port Elizabeth before coming back and it was such a pleasure. I work from home now but until 2020 it was my daily driver between Johannesburg and Centurion, 120 km daily and honestly this was a better car for traffic due to the radar cruise control and comfort. Yes fuel consumption is as you would expect, for example when I used this daily to go to work a full tank lasted 4,5 days at best. My 2 litre Honda Accord (08) on the other hand could give me about 8 days on the same route, yet despite the fuel and maintenance penalty I still drove the Infiniti more because that is how good it is. It now has almost 130 kilometres on the clock, it's a weekend car that I seldom drive other than for fun. It is definitely one of the best cars I've ever bought and would buy it again! Nissan as a brand has been so reliable that I can't wait for the day I own a Z or GTR, even my most recent car purchase was influenced by my experience with Nissan. I could buy a Triton because Nissan owns 30% of the brand, didn't like the Navara on price and ubiquity, too many people drive it and that's not a good indicator for me.
@@Salatiso Hey man this FX50s is on my list to buy cars, FX50s is so rare to find one with low kms is impossible. Yours still low kms, I wouldn't put too many miles on it just on the weekend kind of driving. FX50s would be a collector's suv in the future. Infiniti didn't build too many of them. I own a FX45 I can imagine how fast FX50 is. This VK50VE engine was used in various LMP3 racing cars where it produced 420 hp. That's right, Infiniti built an SUV with a V8 racing engine and almost no one knew about it.

I'm jus being honest ... This SUV can win any ugly contest with ease... Nissan made this with their eyes closed.
Imagine if they had made it with their eyes open.
its so ugly and the inside look's like a average car.
