    Bought my 2010 FX50 S in August of 2010.....took me about 4 months to find the color and specs that I wanted. It has been my daily driver since then and now shows almost 105k on the odometer.
    First thing I wanted to do is to enhance the V8 sound. Looked at several exhaust options ranging in cost from $
    1200.00 to $2000.00. Ended up going to my local Midas shop and doing a resonator delete.
    Cost me $85.00 plus a nice tip after hearing the sound.
    Now, almost 10 years later, I look forward to driving this car, especially with the windows down so you can enjoy that awesome V8 sound that I remember from my earlier years... I’m 71.
    Also have a 2008 Porsche Carrera S with a sport exhaust. Completely different sound from that flat 6, but both are music to my ears.
    I guess I’ll never have an electric vehicle because the exhaust sound of a car remains very important to me.

      That's got to be a fun conundrum in the morning deciding which keys to grab off of your nightstand. The FX50 is such a rarity that it's almost certain to be a collector car in the future.

      Pontiac always tried to be that for General Motors, but their quality was horrible and now they're gone. Holden is GM's Australian brand and they make awesome cars, but don't sell them in the US, go figure.

    I'm debating over a 2013 Cayenne GTS with 29,000 miles and $42k, or 2013 FX50S with 76,000 miles for $21k. The sound and drive on the Cayenne GTS is unexplainable but can't see if it's worth twice as much.

    • @everycarSeattle
      @everycarSeattle  5 лет назад +3

      There's no substitute for low miles. The FX50 is a dynamite, reliable, easy to maintain athlete whereas the Porsche is much more expensive to own but is the neighborhood bully. Since the Porsche has such few miles however, you're not going to be impacted by service nearly as much over the next 5 years or so. This one is a toss up, both options make a lot of sense...so long as whichever one you do buy passes a buyer's inspection at their respective brand's dealership.

      @@everycarSeattle I really appreciate the insight. It's already hard to find a GTS, and then to find one that clean with low mileage. Then again, I had a G35x and that was awesome. Thanks again!!

    I got a 2009 FX50S and less then a month later I got into an accident, deemed a total loss because the insurance company didn't want to pay to fix it. I bought it back and I'm going to get it back on the road for sure. My question to you is do you think its worth it, it has about 70,000 miles on it. The rear quarter panel took a hit and the rear bumper is off as well. The curtain airbags went off but the liner is not ripped. Any insight would be amazing.
    Great video, I keep watching videos of it because I miss it so much. The best handling vehicle hands down!
