UNFORTUNATELY this tent is currently really only for sale in USA, can be purchased through Amazon with import fees. I will update when/if this changes.
We loved the magic shorts that appeared... then disappeared... the reappeared... then disappeared again. The tent looks great too! Just enough room for... erm... me! Ideal!
😂 Thanks Colm. Found out while making this that it’s surprisingly hard to make a tent review. Actually filmed this over three different days, three different outfits 😝
Honestly that’s not bad, but I prefer a tarp shelter system. I have a bivvy net, which I don’t always setup. And a poncho tarp that I use as a groundsheet. I hike and bike so I setup my tarp and Net with my bike as a pole. I use my clickstand for a foot-end pole. It keeps my bike attached so if someone were to try and rob it, I’d know instantly. I save a lot of weight weight with this. Tarp is 3m square weighs 600g with stakes and lines. A modular system means I can swap things in or out, and leave them at home if I want to. 15€ beach twrp with two poles, 30€ net widesea, and random 10€ poncho. I treated the poncho with permethrin for bug repellency, and I cook with wood so the smoke and smell helps keep mosquitoes away. Tarping is harder to get into but oh so worth it! I wake up with the views! And I can just not use it for a skylit night. Could do literally the same with two trekking poles for a diy non freestanding tent.
Best review of this tent! You should do more tent reviews! Also, lay down inside it, tell us how tall you are with just the mesh part, so we can see into it. That would be a good reference for space!
Thanks! First time reviewing a tent. And in hindsight yeah I absolutely should have shown off the interior with the rain fly off. Never occurred to me. 🤦♂️
I got rained on three days in a row on the foothills trail and this tent kept me dry. It might be a one person tent but when you lay down inside it looks so big. Highly recommend this tent. And I had no idea what that round metal piece was for until I watched this.
And how you changed from jeans to shorts and back again whiteout anyone noticing…..truly legendary. 😂 Greta tent though, be handy in the mournes getting her pitched so quick.
I used this tent on 10/15-18/2020 on temperatures of mid thirties to upper twenties. This tent 🏕 kept me warm and cozy. I also used their 0º degrees mummy sleeping bag to make an amazing combo. Definitely worth the price. Their quality is excellent. I don’t know about other brands mostly because of their prices which are a bit steep for my tight budget. Should you decide to get this tent you would have an excellent companion for your outdoors adventures.
thanks for this review! this is the kind of video i’ve been needing to gather whether i could fit my bike up into that vestibule for overnighting on my upcoming bikepacking trip. i’m a tall lad with a big bike but i think it’ll work! cheers
Love Louise's expression throughout the whole setup phase: ... " Good thing you bought the one-man size tent. If you think that I'm sleeping in that, you've got another thing coming! - Hotel or not interested!" Hi Louise! 😁 Great editing SJR ✅
Louise is your Newman. Your Meg. Your Squiggy. Those are all American TV references, I hope you understood them. I like your running joke. That looks like an amazing tent. I was going to say I missed your intro but you put it at the end. Good video.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this tent after having/using it for a few years now. Specifically how did is manage rainy situations? Thank you for the in-depth video!
Best cheap tent I've owned and handled a couple of rainy nights well. Only downside is that in strong winds it's not well supported on the sides, so gets flappy in winds over about 20mph.
You might have found the best tent for holidays in Ireland and UK this year. Get a bypass of postage costs from US (sell from here) and I might be able to throw some business your way. Motorcyclists used to travelling in groups overseas now gagging for something local and solo tents might do it. Great video as always btw.
Is it possible that Louise is displacing you? She had control of the timing. Test seat in the tent and also a speaking part... should I be worried about you? Great tent. Everything, as always, very cool and professionally explained. Greetings from Germany :)
Great little tent. The part where you shook it vigorously reminded me of the Blair Witch Project and brought back memories of being terrified in Antrim Cinema. 😅🤣
@@StephenJReid I'm interested in all because of your productions/editing abilities (and thought process) IE adding string sound at 0:05 and then 360 pull through at 14-sec... You had more going on in the first 20 seconds than most people _think_ to put in an entire video. Plus your semi entertaining every once in a while 😉😁
This one looks like it has some room. I hate small tents, I would always end up leaning against the side and getting stung/bitten right through the mess.
Where were you camping?!, skull island? Can't say anything has ever stung me through a tent before. My biggest nightmare is getting trapped inside with a curious bee 😂
@@StephenJReid Close, Cumberland Island off the coast of Georgia, in the summer. Hot, moist, and buggy. The bigger problem was wild horses stepping on the side of tents, never happened to me, but heard stories, and you know stories are always true.
Hi Martin. Unfortunately this tent is currently really only for sale in US, can be purchased through Amazon with (quite large) import fees, which will bring the cost up to about £130. I will update when/if this changes. The current situation hasn't helped plans to sell in more countries.
@@StephenJReid thanks for the fast reply Stephen. Let's hope those fees drop in the near future. Any suggestions on a similar waterproof tent available at similar price my wife and I plan on doing alot of camping this summer with this current situation going on. Thanks again for a great review and really enjoying your channel
Thanks Brendan 🙂 What have guns got to do with it though? There’s actually a gun club a few miles from my house, clay pigeon shooting and wildfowl hunting would be fairly popular here. Many people don’t realise, but you can own handguns, shotguns, rifles and air rifles in Northern Ireland. Hand guns are banned in the rest of the UK, mostly due to a school shooting. You can even get a conceal carry license in Northern Ireland although really only for people with a risk to life from terrorists, such as government employees, ex military, etc. In general very few of the population here are interested in guns. We feel pretty safe, generally trust our police and with our history of violence, guns are things many are happy to live without.

Brilliant tent for the money. You’ll get lighter weight and fancier materials for $300+ but this does the job!
Looks like a good option, love the bin reveal 😂
Thanks 🙂 Originally I wasn't going to spoil the illusion and show the bins but glad I changed my mind!
