Hey Denise, do you mean in the Glowforge software? I can usually click on the design and then use the delete key on my keyboard. You can also use the Ignore feature under the cut settings or move it off to the side. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles yes in the design software delete key yes I should know that by know lol thank you maybe you can help me with another question. I’m wanting to score some words on a piece of wood also cut them out do I need to weld the words into the image I want it scored on or just group it? I do have it changed to a different color. I am using silhouette business to make my designs
Great question! Yes, as long as you have separated them in Silhouette Studio before you bring them over into the Glowforge software. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I used Yellow Frog Tape (for painting I believe) and it worked great. I have a larger roll on order of paper transfer tape from Amazon to try for larger projects. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Wow….you are smart!!!! Love this and Thank you, Becky 🤗
Glad it was helpful! 😊
what was the tape you used to mask the wood. I tried using a painters tape on birch, and it tore the wood up.
Hi there! It's a specific tape called "Laser Cutter Masking Tape" - Dawn
Clicked on the link for part one and it brings me here again😂
Were the coasters draft board? I know you used the draft board settings but wasn’t sure what the material was for coasters. Thx
The coasters were actually just some cheap wood coasters from Amazon. The draftboard setting worked well for me though. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Does it work the same on acrylic?
Hey Cyndi! It absolutely does! Hope this helps! ---Becky
So can you do it without doing an offset of the offset to make it quicker
Yes, the only benefit of the multiple offsets is to increase the thickness of the line so it looks more like engraving. Hope this helps! ---Becky
How did you take your graphic and make it single line?
Hey Michelle, this was already a single-line design, I didn't have to modify. Hope this helps! ---Becky
How would I do the same in illustrator?
Hi there! We have lots of Illustrator tutorials within our Design School: designbundles.net/design-school/search?search=illustrator
Ok how did you get rid of the first image before up loading the second one in there?

Theoretically can you engrave a couple of elements say, just the star but score the lines etc?
Wouldn't that be 2 separate files?
What brand of masking tape did you use? What masking tape do you recommend for scoring and engraving?
Great question! Yes, as long as you have separated them in Silhouette Studio before you bring them over into the Glowforge software. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Can I use the free version to make a svg file and if not how can I ?
What were your Glowforge settings for ea one?
Hey Jules, I just used the default score and engrave for I believe Medium Draftboard. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Could you not simply increase your line thickness?
Or would that still turn it to etching?
Increasing your line thickness is just a visual tool, when you save as an SVG it would still just be a single score line. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles thank you
