You should change the order of the job in the GF by moving the Engrave on top of the cut. The reason for this is because if you let it cut before engraving it will sometimes move it enough on the crumb tray that the engraving alignment will be off. You may not have run into this issue yet, but it will eventually happen.

Thank you I’m a very new glowforge owner and have only cut out acrylic hexagon coasters but O would like to etch a labyrinth design . I got the design loaded and showing up but it just Wants to cut . It show up etch in red but I don’t see how I control this part . I’ll keep looking! Appreciate others who share. Wish I knew where to look for directions. I’ll keep trying samples

How did you get the words to engrave so white on the clear acrylic? What settings did you use? I tried and mine definitely didn’t look that good. You can barely see the words. Newbie here but I’m loving the glowforge!!!

Was trying to see what thickness acrylic you were using. 1/8? Also, Gorilla tape is excellent for peeling off the masking. Saves on fingernails and also no scratches!
Is there a tutorial on how to do this in Cricut Design Space? I tried to follow along and I can't find the "release compound path" command anywhere I looked. I also don't see how to create a loop; it just has shapes to draw on the sidebar. When I weld, the writing disappears into the offset. Please help. 😂

I usually mirror the design and do the engrave on back. Gives it a smoother finish on front.

I got as far as making the circles for the keychain. When I hit weld, my words go away! I’m using business edition.
Only select the offset and the key ring circle then weld those, do not select the lettering.

It depends on the size of the keychain and the size of your loop rings.
