Awesome job Mark. Your focus on the controls, and the focus of the operator to your right was staggering. I was surprised at how much dexterity was/is required on the controls. You and your team helped to bring some closure to the families.

You see the depth? The depth is about an entire whole kilometer below the Titanic wreck level. The water pressure definitely must have been a lot worse on the El Faro compared with the Titanic. (Titanic lies at a depth of 3750m or so, which is about the average depth of the ocean).

3 Miles Down. 15,000 Feet. The Same Depth As The Battleship Bismarck. The Water Pressure Is Enormous.

Fantastic video and fantastic work by the crew of this ship and also the crew of the Atlantis to help bring to light what happened and hopefully help it not as likely to happen in the future. Thanks.
The Apache is the little tugboat that could. Writing this in June 2023 it is sad the sister ship Catawba is not on site at the Titanic at the moment. Might have been the only chance they have.

I don't see it actually being picked up and put into the metal crate. How did a padlock get attached? Thanks.

Figure C-3 on page 265 of the NTSB report shows it being put into the cage. The padlock is not shown being put in place but I assume the manipulator arms put it on. I guess it could have been a diver if they stopped the ROV near the surface though, I was not there so that is the only other simple possibility.
No need for a conspiracy theory here. It's just for the integrity of the operation, as you can see another was placed on the cool box when moved over straight away.

I'm looking for a open door shipping container. With a automobile that i have seen in the past on film.an Oldsmobile 1967 or 1968 . My heart felt condolences to the family and most sincerely the crew .
    God bless.

Was it still fastened to the deck, or had it come loose?

It came loose. the entire bridge came off the ship and settled away from the ship.

Robert Matthews Simply amazing that they even found it seeing as that was a container ship.

It was attached to the mast. What you can see there is the mast sticking out of the seabed floor. The operator got it loose from the mast ( cutting or pulling ) and brought it to the surface.

Looks like its his first time operating the underwater rover. Seems to second guess himself often.
