    Love the idea to mark the water chamber and fill at an angle! The manufacturer FAILED with this design! Imagine trying to fill it with a tremor.

    That fill line hack is the best yet. My water chamber is hard to open and won’t stay open - it snaps shut while trying to fill it ! And it doesn’t like to sit level, either. What a bad design ! And I sure do wish they’d made a better grip for pull it out of the machine.

      I don't have a problem removing the water chamber. Remember you have to squeeze it down so it unclips, to pull it out. Easy peasy.

    1. Close the lid before moving, simple. 2. Connect the hose first to the adapter to avoid unwanted bending stress while placed first in the Airsense, after that connect the adapter into its place. 3. Put it in plastic bag and close it to avoid dust going in, also makess it lighter. 4. You need to clean your house, its causing most likely allergic blockiness in your airways. 5. Yes, thats in the manual.
    I would also check the airfilter pad more ofter and there is also good options for carbon filters which are thin, just cut a fitting piece..

    Fantastic!! I finally learned how to enter Clinician Settings -- told my Pulmonary doctor that pressure goes up too high. Now I can enter this mode to lower top pressure and raise the ramp up pressure by 1 to get the Goldilocks Effect for my CPAP therapy.

  • @ronspi

    Brilliant! Thank you for the ideas. In hack 1: You have to guess where to place the perpendicular line. In hack 2, attaching the corner adapter to the hose first and then to the unit is better and safer. In hack 3: if you place the faceplate without the humidifier, you have to remember to disable the proper functions in the Client Settings on the machine, or else the humidifier plate will warm up without water.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 месяца назад +2

      Thank you for your feedback! We should mention for hack #3, the side panel automatically disables the humidifier when inserted.

    • @Resist4

      @@RespShop I'd rather just use the included water chamber and turn off the humidifier plate, instead of having to pay for the insert, which isn't covered under insurance.

    One thing to reduce spills is to decrease humidity level and keep water toa max level of halfway between max and middle to your needs.

    Ty 4 the video. My place gets dusty from baby powder so I was thinking of maybe buying the side panel for my AirSense 11, but when I read the reviews on your website nobody seems to buy it to keep the dust out. They buy it b/c they are not using their humidifier, so I'm a little confused. At least for now, b/c of this video, I'll start using a plastic bag every week when I wash my CPAP. Thanks again!

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  5 месяцев назад

      You're welcome and thank you for watching! The side panel can keep dust out when you're washing the air outlet. At 1:09, Reuben pulled a part out of the AirSense 11 - that's the air outlet which connects the CPAP tubing to the machine. The air outlet can be washed but when it's removed from the machine, it leaves a hole. Here's a link to what the air outlet looks like: www.respshop.com/cpap-supplies/machine-parts/resmed-air-outlet-for-airsense-11-cpap-p-1697.html
      That's just another use for the AirSense 11 side panel 😊

    What about angle adapter hack for a heated tube? Does anyone make one for this machine? And why use that waterless side chamber, can't you just use the regular water chamber without water and turn the humid pad off?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 месяца назад

      The angle adapter hack doesn't work with the heated tube b/c the heated tube has a chip on the machine connection end. When plugged in, this chip helps the AS11 recognize the heated tube and enables certain humidifier settings. ResMed has not made a special angle adapter for the heated tube.
      Sure, you can just use the regular water chamber and turn the humidifier off.

    • @Resist4
      @Resist4 2 месяца назад

      @@RespShop I meant what about making an angle adapter hack for the heated tube. I know the hack in this video doesn't apply because it doesn't have the electrical connection.

      Thank you for watching! Yes, that's a question we'd like to know the answer to as well. The 90 degree connection for the AirSense 10 heated tubing was a great design esp since the hose connects to the back of the CPAP. Not a smart move

    • @goostador

      The two hoses I have connect directly to the back parallel the floor easily. For me the 90 degree elbow is not needed.
