How does the UV reach inside the hose and machine though?

It penatrates anywhere that the plastic is clear. I have one and love it. I use it for my mask, hose, and humidifier tank.

They are a bit pricey. About $250.

Hello all. I get new climate-line hoses, water chamber, elbow connectors and head gear frame for my Airsense 11 every few months via my insurance. Curious, do I just throw the old ones out? What do you guys do with your old stuff?

If your local recycling program supports it, you can recycle the hard plastic parts of the mask. Everything else goes in the trash. You can always reach out to you community to see if anyone needs CPAP parts. The problem is that if you give these parts to others to use, they'll need to be properly disinfected first.

Is it correct that mask wipes do not disinfect anything inside any parts (for travel) what good are the wipes then?

Yes, mask wipes aren't disinfectant wipes (that's too harsh on the silicone cushion). They're great for cleaning your mask when you don't have access to running water or when you're on vacation and just too lazy to hand wash anything.

I can't find any info or responses about the 'anti-microbial hose', and what makes it effective. No idea if it is potentially toxic, or safe or what on earth it is made from. Without any actual information, color me skeptical.

The anti-microbial hose (Liviliti’s Healthy Hose Pro) is BPA-free, latex-free and made in the USA. It’s also ISO 22196 certified, meaning it’s been lab-tested for its ability to inhibit or kill the growth of bacteria over 24 hours. You can find more info here: www.respshop.com/cpap-supplies/tubing/liviliti-healthy-hose-pro-antimicrobial-cpap-tubing-p-1671.html

Mask Wipes. I bought a few cannisters (won't mention mfg). The darn flip caps on top would not stay closed. Kept popping up. I complained and mfg/distributor sent me 2x what I ordered. They still popped opened. You know what? I found other "alcohol free" wipes online. Read the lable on your pricey wipes and compare to online wipes. Test them out.

None of this is necessary, besides wipes.
